Kapow Thai Cuisine is my go-to for when I'm in the mood for Thai food and don't want to go far to satisfy my cravings! My favorite items to get include: -Pad Thai with chicken -Drunken noodles -Pad see ew (arguably one of my favorites !) -Roti (a must order!) -Thai Tea (also a must!) Pick up is very quick & easy, I highly recommend. Staff is super kind and literally the sweetest people ever. All the dishes I listed are what I typically get and never fail! The red curry was absolutely fantastic!! 10/10 and one of the best red curries I've had in MA. We got a solid drunken noodles, which was really good. We also got the stir fried chicken and basil. What the hell happened to that? It was bland, slimey and disgusting, with like one sprig of basil. It was weird because there was lots of basil in the drunken noodles. Since 2/3 of the meal was excellent and we were sharing I'll give it 4 stars only because of how good the red curry was. That said, fix that chicken and basil! I had the chance to speak to Kook, one of the owners about Kapow and of course try their food! If you didn't know, Kapow has actually been around for a long time, but turned key in September. Since then, Kook and her husband have been running the show. I had the chance to try three different dishes, the pad see ew, red curry, and the tom yum fried rice. All three of these dishes were delicious, and I will definitely be going back again! I had the pad see ew with beef and the curry with chicken. I found the pad see ew very familiar coming from a Vietnamese background. The noodles were nice and chewy and paired perfectly with the beef. The red curry was actually too spicy for me at first, and they were so nice to take it back and dilute it for me. It is served with a bowl of white rice. I found the curry similar to Indian curry. It was quite spicy and very delicious. I had the chance to try the tom yum fried rice as well. I had it with chicken and the dish comes with chicken in the fried rice as well as topped with a fried chicken cutlet. The rice has a nice sour taste, like if you squeezed lime right on top of it. I also had their Thai tea. It was like I expected, sweet and creamy. I'll definitely be coming back to try all of their dishes. While you may be inclined to order take out from Kapow, please consider dining in! And if you have any feedback, Kook is always willing to hear you out. read more

I've tried a lot of Thai places and this didn't hit the spot. I ordered gyoza and the drunken noodles. Gyoza portion is smaller than I expected. The drunken noodles weren't flavorful enough. I think there are better Thai places than this. read more

We used to order from here and the food was always reliable and good. This was our first time ordering under new management and my husband and I were really surprised. The food was great! Finally tried after place under new management. Very disappointed, used to enjoy the food and menu but not anymore. Menu not as expensive. Favorites of mine the Thai rolls and crispy chicken pad Thai were disappointing, the Thai rolls wrap thicker and bland filling. The crispy chicken pad Thai use to have a generous portion of full size chicken fingers thru out the dish now replaced with one piece of chicken sliced and placed on top as well as far to much crushed peanuts. I also was surprised to see pork is not a protein option. I do have to say delivered in a timely fashion, and the coconut shrimp and shu Mai were good. This place used to be my favorite Thai restaurant, but ever since they become under new management, the food is completely different. This place used to make a dish called kapow, same name as the restaurant, and they no longer make it anymore. I've been twice since under new management and tried to order my favorite dish and instead of telling me that they no longer have it they give me something else which is labeled "basil" on the receipt. This place makes a really tasty pork krapow. You can also get it in beef and chicken but I prefer the pork. In the past, I have often ordered it with pad thai, which is also very good and fresh. The two dishes compliment very well, with the noodles offsetting the spice. Other things are very good as well. For the Super Bowl, I ordered the Bangkok special on a whim, since it includes about six different apps. It came with about as many dipping sauces. (It was also snowing like mad. Forgive me for sending an uber driver to get my food in a storm but I figure he was out anyway and was probably hoping for a big $$$ night for the game. I tipped 25%.) Anyhoo, the food is always well-packed. On Super Bowl Sunday, the apps were a little soft from steaming while travelling, but that's not at all the restaurant's fault. I used the air fryer to crisp them before serving. While I've never eaten at Kapow itself, it could be done, but only if you really needed a place to sit. I used to go there to pick up the food, and so have spent time in the shop itself. It's clean and tidy and very small. It's not a restaurant, really. Parking?? That area of Lower Mills is a carnival of parking -- cars are always moving fast or fully stopped as traffic jams both ways at the light, so you might get a space out front, or you might have to park up the street by the CVS or around the corner. Or you could just get it delivered. This is a carry-out place, and as such, very reliable. If Kapow is offered as an option on the food delivery websites, I'm buying. read more

After speaking with the Owner I understand that there is no more delivery & pick-up only through the website. There is an absence in personal delivery services for Kapow. Which leads to a lack compatible help answering the phone. A ignorant nasty woman answered the phone & decided to mock me as I needed to speak with the owner. Someone of that incompetence only exacerbates, & turns money away from business. Always liked Kapow but sometimes the quality wasn't consistent. Ordered tonight for Grubhub delivery and could not have been more impressed. Great tastes, nice quality meats and veggies, Nothing overcooked. Plus it was delivered only 30 minutes after placing the order eventhough Grubhub Said 45-60 minutes. We will return. read more

The pad Thai was not seasoned or sauced properly. Probably the worst pad Thai I've ever had.

I've gone to Kapow for years. I learned tonight when I could not place an order online the way I usually do that 1) there is new management; 2) the new menu has not been updated online; 3) the menu offerings have been reduced from those offered by the previous owners. Items we really liked are no longer available. Two of the dishes we got were good but the portions were smaller than we were used to. The pad thai was disappointingly dry and flavorless. I would think, if the menu isn't easily accessible, that they would put a menu in our bag but they did not. Hopefully things will get better with time. read more

All around solid menu For starters, the options for apps are on point, my personal favs are the wings and the crab rangoon paired with the drunken noodles or the fried rice. A nice addition to a solid takeout order is the scallion pancake which really completes the ensemble The chicken satay is also fire but the beef satay is the way to go if you're looking ti get the satay instead of wings. Overall, you can't really go wrong with the thai classics but I will say the pad see ew is far better than the pad thai, the difference in sauce just makes all the difference read more

Kapow was hands down my favorite place to get Thai food for the better part of the last decade. I recently found out that they're under new management after I noticed some changes in the menu. I decided to place an order last night, and was so disappointed when my food arrived. First, they've removed some of my favorites from their menu (bring back the Massaman curry!!!). Second, each dish that my family ordered (of those carried over from the old menu) was also so different and not in a good way. Do not get the pad Thai (so greasy that I couldn't finish it) or pad see ew (tasteless). Sad to say that I'll be dropping this place off of my go-to list. So bummed!! read more

First time visiting since the change in management. Interior updates and aesthetic are top notch. The space looks, clean, bright, and inviting. The staff is also incredibly welcoming, adding to the neighborhood feel of the location. but WOW the food. We live in the area and prior to the revamp, would rarely dine here or order from the restaurant because we always felt the food was on the blander side. This time around, everything we had was bursting with flavor. From the tom yum, which was full of fresh ingredients to complement the traditional hot and sour base, to the kai tod which was perfectly fried, to the veggie drunken noodles that had the perfect level of spice.
