    Pad See Ew
    Dyllan B.

I had the chance to speak to Kook, one of the owners about Kapow and of course try their food! If you didn't know, Kapow has actually been around for a long time, but turned key in September. Since then, Kook and her husband have been running the show. I had the chance to try three different dishes, the pad see ew, red curry, and the tom yum fried rice. All three of these dishes were delicious, and I will definitely be going back again! I had the pad see ew with beef and the curry with chicken. I found the pad see ew very familiar coming from a Vietnamese background. The noodles were nice and chewy and paired perfectly with the beef. The red curry was actually too spicy for me at first, and they were so nice to take it back and dilute it for me. It is served with a bowl of white rice. I found the curry similar to Indian curry. It was quite spicy and very delicious. I had the chance to try the tom yum fried rice as well. I had it with chicken and the dish comes with chicken in the fried rice as well as topped with a fried chicken cutlet. The rice has a nice sour taste, like if you squeezed lime right on top of it. I also had their Thai tea. It was like I expected, sweet and creamy. I'll definitely be coming back to try all of their dishes. While you may be inclined to order take out from Kapow, please consider dining in! And if you have any feedback, Kook is always willing to hear you out.

I ordered a drunken noodle and kaprow sup with spicy. 1. They are not spicy at all. Even with no any spicy flavor. I think they forget to put it. 2. If I didn't mention it, you won't know it's a kaprow. It's soup! It's soup! It's soup! 3. It's first time and only restaurant kaprow is not coming with rice.

Solid neighborhood spot for takeout Thai. The chicken pad thai had decent flavors and the portion size filled me up for $13. Service was very friendly and we got our food in less than 10 minutes.

It's a happy trip to America. because I came to eat Thai food in Boston. Many menus that I have ordered More delicious than in Thailand. The staff at the store are lovely and friendly. Take care of the menu recommendations. It is my favorite restaurant. There is a chance that I will come back to eat again.

The pad Thai was not seasoned or sauced properly. Probably the worst pad Thai I've ever had.

For a restaurant that looks and feel nice, doesn't feel like we're in Fields corner lol I've had a couple experiences when dining in here. Their food is good. I used to get this moo yang (grilled pork) dish from Dok Bua in Brookline in the past but unfortunately, they're closed now. The Moo yang dish here is totally different from what I expected. Not sure if it was an off night, but my pork was no grilled well... I was hoping their was a char on the pork but there was none. It almost tasted undercooked. Luckily it wasn't... The sauce that comes with the grilled pork is really good. It definitely saved the pork. This comes with a side serving of sticky rice. I would give this dish a 6/10. I'm definitely going to come back and give this dish another try. Pad Thai here is good. I would say 7/10. We did have a mishap because we requested no peanuts and there were peanuts all over. Requested for extra spicy and it wasn't spicy...

They do have some tables you can move together for more folks. Waitress came with water and menus and gave us time to decide. We cam on a Friday night and surprisingly wasn't too busy so we got to pick our own table. I wanted something different from thai iced tea to drink and locked in on the longan drink. Did not disappoint, 4/5 good. It was sweet and subtle flavors of longan with 5-6 longan on bottom. Very refreshing. 4/5 fried wontons were spot on, fresh, hot and crispy with juicy pork filling. Definitely could eat many more. 4/5 pork boat noodle, great presentation and i liked the heavier herbal taste than the normal boat noodles soups which I have had in past which tends to be much sweeter. I just wished they gave us more soup!!! As you can tell from photo, not enough soup to satisfy me! Overall great thai restaurant, would love to come again for other dishes to try.

They have a kiosk you order food. The first thing you see is how many pennies they will charge you for any fork knife spoon plate bag etc. it's making customers wonder if you're stressing over pennies what's the quality of food like are they skimping on that too? I ordered a pad kra pao. It's always been served with an egg. Not here, that's $2.95 extra! The price doesn't include any meat/tofu, you have to choose one that's at least $1.95 more So $17 plus tax for a takeout and they make me pay .03 for a fork and no napkins anywhere to be seen btw. The dish was almost all rice. There was maybe 6oz of basil peppers and minced chicken Gf had a panang curry which was also almost all rice I won't be coming back sorry to say especially given the horrible traffic that plagues this area.
