I have never actually stepped foot inside Thai Saap but I've gotten take out from here a couple times now. Their Pad See Ew is perfect and extremely addicting. Also don't sleep on their iced thai teas! Parking can be a little tricky on the street it's located on but you're bound to find a 2hr free parking spot if you circle around a couple times or look for parking in the adjacent streets. Local spot, welcome by Wollaston train station on the Newport side. This place is always consistent the boss lady is always super nice. Usual meal is Thai basil platter, crispy chicken, rice, egg, peppers. It's not spicy so heat intolerant folks go for it. We usually scoop this up as a quick takeout order along with pad thai or pad see ew. I think the kitchen is a bit limited in size so the food may take a bit to finish. I usually give an extra 10-15 min more than the time they say when i call in an order. Parking in the area sucks during dinner time you'll probably have to go few blocks down or double park like all the delivery drivers. The price is a tad up there but so is everything else haha. Feels worth it, have frequented many times, noticed next time I'll have to add photos. The place has about 4.5 tables in there for you to dine in, but large parties most likely won't be accommodated. We ordered Crab Rangoon (good size, generously filled with cheese and perfectly fried), duck noodle soup, pad see uw and boat noodles with pork. The boat noodles has very complex flavors, you can tell their deeply rich broth flavor is brought forth by hours of cooking. Their Pad See Ew and Drunken Noodles are so flavorful and saucy even when I get it for take-out! I usually get beef in them for both. Their Pad Woo Sen is one of the my favs as well with there glass noodles coated in this light sauce and I usually get it with crispy chicken! The crispy chicken is so good! Awesome addition to the Wollaston neighborhood and better than some of the other Thai spots in Quincy IMO. We ordered delivery over the rainy weekend and loved their menu variety. My daughter who is the pickiest eater was able to find several options that she really enjoyed - the crab rangoons, chicken pops and the chicken teriyaki and those of us who truly love authentic Thai food couldn't choose just one entree. Everything sounded so good that we ended up ordering the Pad Thai, Squid Basil Fried rice, Drunken Noodles with seafood and the Saap Pork combo to share between 3 people. All dishes came out so flavorful and the portions were a respectable size and large enough for a full lunch the next day. The only constructive comment I have is that the baby corn in the Drunken Noodles could be cooked a tiny bit more. Otherwise, every dish that hit our palettes were a hit. An authentic Thai spot in Quincy! Everything is fairly priced and the portion sizes are good. I always get the Basil Fried Rice with crab meat and with a soft shell crab on top. The Crab Roll and Pad Thai is great as well. I've only gotten take out from them, but inside is fairly small and could probably fit about 6-7 small tables at most. Saap Crab Roll - Love the thin, crispy skin. I'm not usually a sauce person, but the sweet sauce complimented the roll very well. Pad See Ew - My usual go-to. The noodles were very soft. Pad Thai with Crispy Chicken - Very impressed, it was so flavorful and I love how thin the noodles were. Need to get it with tofu next time! Planning to eat at Shi Miao Dao, the place was full and don't want to wait... ended coming here since it just next door. I take out few times from this place before... I was satisfied since they made improvement each time. First time dining in, it was quiet since we were the only ones dining, mostly take out but more people came to dine in. We ordered 2 appetizers, 1 noodle soup, 2 pan fried noodles, and 1 curry. All were great since one of my friend can't eat spicy. We was satisfied with the food since she eat mostly bland food. I love this little restaurant! I have grabbed takeout a couple of times and the food is always packaged securely with love. The food might take awhile but it comes out fresh and hot so you know it is made to order. I recommend ordering online for convenience. Their pad thai is delicious and smoky. I didn't taste any sort of sweetness to my delight. I got it spice level 5 and it was not that spicy for me but I have an insane spice tolerance. I don't even really like pad thai but the noodles here are so perfectly cooked (bouncy, don't stick, chewy) and not too saucy. I got it with crispy chicken as my source of protein, which isn't usually my favorite but it looked good in the photos and was just as good in person. The outside was crispy but the inside was still moist. The mint salad (larb) is umami, complex, and light-weight. The minced meat (I requested chicken) was a bit on the fatty side so a bit chewier than I'd like but that was not a big deal for me. Their tom yum soup is very flavorful but I am not a big fan of the spicy chili flakes as a means to spice up the soup. Despite this, it still really hits the spot especially on a cold day. I would recommend it with minced chicken. They also have some of the best Thai iced tea in all of the Boston area. I am super picky about Thai iced tea and it is the absolutely perfect ratio here. The flavors are robust and the dish sizes are standard to generous. A really outstanding little place for this area... only gripe is the lack of street parking (on the other hand, perfect if you're taking the red line as the restaurant is right across from Wollaston station). I am so glad to have found this new Thai spot. I have not seen a lot of posts regarding this location, but was browsing for some new restaurants to try and found a website mention them. Ordered the Saap Crab Roll, Tom Yum Soup, Saap Fried Rice and the Pad See Ew. The restaurant follows all Covid restrictions, social distancing and staff were wearing masks. When I arrived the owner was super nice, asked how I found out about them and was surprised I came all the way from Boston to Quincy to grab food. She even offered me on the house Thai Tea! The Thai tea was very fragrant and creamy. Will definitely order it next time! For the food, the Saap Crab Roll was okay. It was made with pork and crab meat...and the pork was kinda rough/dry. Not a lot of crab flavor, but super crunchy. It came with a thai chili sauce that was delicious. The Tom Yum Soup was really good. A tad bit too spicy though. Has a super hard kick and a good tang. The Saap Fried Rice and Pad See Ew were delicious. Both ordered with shrimp and it was super bouncy. Not sure if it was fresh shrimp, but it definitely tasted like it. Both were seasoned well and flavorful. Might order with no spicy next time for the pad see ew. I ordered 1 spicy, but it was a bit too much.
