After many many years, this is still my most favorite Thai restaurant in Massachusetts, as well as any where else I have been to! Granted Yelp just told me I had 22 Thai food reviews! The staff is very nice and attentive! After coming here so many years (once every couple months) they remember my preference! I love their crazy noodle (drunken noodle) Best in all 8 countries I have been to! The sauce is so rich and authentic! The noodle soaked in the sauce during cooking made it taste incredible. Some places made the noodle so plain and not blend into the sauce so I know it does take skills! I always asked for extra eggs! My kids love the BBQ pork here! The marination is perfect and it is a good portion! They do have several tables for eat in with cute little flower vases made it a welcoming place!! A lot of people come here for take out. Service is always quick, seating is available for dine in, plaza has laundromat (great folks too) and convenient store as well as pizza shop. This is a quick go to for Thai food. I typically get basil fried rice with a protein and that would be today was crispy chicken (always ask for extra basil sauce and dipping sauce. Rice always tastes good and not spicy at all if you're looking for it haha. The bbq pork dish from the grill was great, wish the portion was a bit larger but it's perfect meal to not get super full. When takeout spends time in a container, in a bag, and in a car before making its way onto my plate, I am more forgiving. However, this is not my first rodeo! So, let's talk about the Crab Rangoons. The filling was average, and a little on the sweeter side, which I find is common with Thai restaurants. However, it is the dough which is their undoing - as it was soft and chewy. If they were just cold(er), I could chalk this up to the nature of takeout, but this was not the case. My airfryer was great at waking them up and returning them to crisp goodness... however, the whole reason I buy cooked food is to avoid doing any cooking. Then there is the case of the Crazy Noodles (with beef). This was a little bit of a risk, with the menu indicating this is among their spicier offerings! Yet, I found the heat level mild to my taste (warning: your mileage may vary). With that said, the sauce was mild and pleasant. The noodles were fine, and the meat and veggies were on the firmer/tougher side. Not raw/leathery, but could have used some more time in a cooking vessel. I do want to award a little extra credit for two things: 1. The sauce with the rangoons had a little spice instead of just sweetness. 2. The portion size with the noodles was notably large, enough to quell my man-sized appetite. This is for what I consider a reasonable price. Thus, an overall "okay" experience. While there were any major issues, I did not feel there was anything to necessarily warrant a return visit. read more

When I used to order frequently from here, it was always takeout because they didn't have seating option, after Covid lockdown. I dined in here recently for the first time & their food is delicious! As usual whenever we go for Thai, we ordered thai iced teas to start. We got the chicken satay appetizer & it was juicy + the sauces included complimented the chicken well. For entrees, we got the crispy chicken basil fried rice and grilled pork with sticky rice. The crispy chicken was hot and crispy & the basil fried rice had a nice kick to it that was addicting... SO GOOD!! I loved the grilled pork with sticky rice. Great flavor and pork was not dry at all. Thai iced tea: 9/10 Chicken Satay: 8.5/10 Crispy chicken basil fried rice: 10/10 Grilled pork w/ sticky rice: 10/10 The workers here are also super sweet & the food came out fast. Place is all about the food! Primary menu is choosing protein , then type of noodle and finally sauce. They also have an assortment of appetizers and dishes. We started with Thai rolls that were great. I like spicy food so I had chicken, udon noodles in a spicy basil sauce. My wife had chicken in what I call glass noodles but they call vermicelli in a mild sauce. We got an order of pad Thai. There was serious spice in my food that I loved. I went today as soon as they opened (we were starving)... the lady in the front was very kind and helpful. It was our first time here. My son always gets Pho but she recommended the Tom Yum Noodle Soup... it was amazing and my son left his plate empty . I was recommended to get something from the Noodle Bar.. My first and last time. My Egg Noodle Stir Fry w Crispy Chicken, Tofu, and Oyster Sauce, was instead, a mish-mash of leftovers, canned veg, fresh veg, slimy fungus, and an 'oyster sauce' that tasted more like the cook dumped the leftover water from steamed clams into it, than used actual 'oyster sauce'. My 'Create Your Own Noodle Stir-Fry' was supposed to have Egg Noodles. Instead, I received Rice Vermicelli, overcooked and falling apart. (The Owner must think his customer's are unable to differentiate between Asian ingredients. NOTE TO THE OWNER, IT'S 2025.) A large amount of steamed broccoli that I didn't want was propping up a very small amount of the aforementioned waterlogged noodles. Other unwanted items were, Canned Baby Corn, slimy old Button Mushrooms, a few bits and pieces of rubbery Egg, mushy Bell Pepper, and surprisingly delicious pieces of Baby Bok Choy. The pieces of bok choy were good. But, I have a feeling that if I ordered a whole order of bok choy, I'd end up with just the woody stumps of a much bigger plant. I added Crispy Chicken that was dry and overcooked, and Tofu, dry and rubbery. The delivery person was fantastic. Very quick and polite. But, the food was $25 down the drain. read more

This place is a perfect lowkey joint for solid Thai food. It's nothing fancy or upscale but it's one of the better panang curries I've had, and the crispy chicken was so good. The food came out extremely fast (definitely less than 10 min). We also got the pad thai which was ok, and built our own from the noodle bar (really recommend the chili basil sauce). There's a few tables inside that can fit 2-4 people but I think it's primarily a takeout joint. read more

Pineapple fried rice, excellent curry flavor, big pieces of shrimp and abundance veggies and protein. Garlic duck stirfry. Hearty cuts of veggies and duck, excellent flavor. Could be more garlic but I'm Italian so that's just a general feeling. Crab Rangoon. Best I've had in a long while. Wonderful flavor, slightly sweet, very creamy. Perfectly fried, not greasy. Thai iced tea. Delicious, not overly sweet. I cannot emphasis how many average Thai restaurants I've been to. This one is not average, they really shows their care for good quality food and their customers. My go-to place for take out Thai food! This place is relatively cheaper compared to other Thai restaurants in Quincy. I have never dined in, but take out is always ready within 20 minutes, regardless of the time of day. My favorite is the noodle bar - crispy chicken lo-mein with satay sauce. The meat was juicy and the sweet & sour sauce added more flavor to the pork they marinated. For the main plate, I ordered the pad woonseen and crispy chicken fried rice. The pad woonseen was stir-fried vermicelli noodles. This was a little bland compared to the place that I usually ordered. I chose shrimp for the pad woonseen which the shrimp was small but still fresh. The crispy chicken fried rice was a little disappointed. The fried chicken wasn't dried and not juicy, the crispy are falling apart, basically eating cooked chicken breast without the crispy. I really liked this place! I was quite impressed at how fast they took to make the food. It took about 5 minutes total for it to come to the table after ordering two entrees, an appetizer, and two special drinks. Best of all, the food was so good. I like the "create your own noodle" style they had going on. I also loved that they serve iced milo! I find that not many places serve iced milo in the area so that was a nice treat. This is a cozy little restaurant; at first when I walked in I thought it was one of those restaurants where you'd order your food and pay at the counter and then you can dine at the tables or bring it home, but they offer you to sit down and take your order and everything. I usually always order Thai tea whenever I go to a Thai restaurant because it's a must, but I wasn't really feeling the Thai tea here. It was kind of bland. For starters, we ordered the papaya salad with shrimp and that was amazing! I normally don't eat papaya salads, but this was definitely a must. We ordered crispy chicken pad Thai and pineapple fried rice. The crispy chicken came out perfectly just how I imagined (I loved the sweet sauce that it came with) and the pineapple fried rice was decent. The Tom yum soup had lots of mushroom pieces (not slices) and came with 4 shrimp. Scallion pancake was so flaky, melted in our mouths. Both the curry soup and the noodles had lots of fresh, al dente vegetables, very impressed! Plenty of food for leftovers. Very reasonable prices. When I'm craving Thai food, Thai Noodle Bar is on the top of my list. The restaurant is located in a plaza with parking - it's reasonably sized. I've always encountered very friendly staff! The crab rangoon is crispy and has the perfect amount of crab meat mixed with cream cheese. My favorite dish is the Pad Thai with Crispy Chicken - generous portion. On the other hand, my boyfriend ordered the Pad se-ew with beef and we were fairly disappointed. The dish wasn't completely full and only included three pieces of beef. One of my favorite go to thai places! I have gotten pickup and delivery. Both were safe and adhered to COVID guidelines. The food was also piping hot so you know it's fresh. The chicken satay was super good, especially with the sauce. The pad thai and pad se ew were also good as well. The pad se ew was a little oily and had less protein but it was good. Quincy only has about 4 Thai spots (I could be off by one or two), and I've tried most of them. Thai Noodle Bar stands out for good reasons: - Prices to portion sizes: theres a good balance here. Other places charge $$$ for a main dish and don't include rice. This place has great portions and prices can't be beat. - Taste and presentation: the taste is amazing, it's fresh and always has us coming back for more. Food is always neatly packed and/or presented. - Location: they're close to me so i can't complain! And on the way home from work haha. - Customer service: fantastic customer service ALWAYS sells and makes or breaks your experience at an establishment. Thai Noodle Bar does this exceptionally well, and again no complaints here. I've recommended this place to a few friends and coworkers and they've always been happy as am I. The food here is delicious and I love the people that work here. I highly recommend!!! I took my daughter to lunch here a few days before Christmas. A homeless woman stood pointing at the people's food sitting at the window..., a mom with 3 teenagers. Her child offered the hungry woman her leftovers and went outside to talk to her. They ordered her a fresh to go meal and when they tried to pay the woman at the counter said the restaurant will take care of the meal for her.
