Good Filipino food. The YouTube karaoke was fun but sort of uncomfortable because I don't like hearing my voice singing through a microphone in front of people LOL. I think they just opened up again after renovation but it was nice inside!! Our group of 4 went for the small private room ($25/hr + food + automatic gratuity) and I think it's reasonably priced for being new, no wait time, and all of Youtube karaoke to choose from. It was very easy to get started and we had someone checking in with us every so often and also asked if we were okay with adding another hour when our time ended, which was nice as we had some warning before charging us. I had a great night here with a few of my friends. We wanted to check out the vibe of this place. To my surprise it was delicious food. I thought it would be like every normal Filipino place but the customer service made it extra delicious. The vibe of friendly Filipinos are around was awesome. We ordered the bangus sisig it's a MUST try!!! Lechon kawali is always my fave. Super crunchy here and I love it. Calamari was good not over cooked to be chewy. Kare kare was good but as I always say in all Filipino place I wish they gave more.. more meat, more veggies ok maybe the entire pan that they cooked it. We also got the regular sisig which was also good. We also got the fried shrimp and Shang-hi as appetizer. There is a lot of parking available and the bathroom is clean. Music was loud but the entertainment was fun and enjoyable. Let's just say it can't be a romantic first date where you can get to know each other. But you can have fun time and compete. You will NOT find a late night filipino spot in Vegas except for this one. There is a guard at the door, big and ominous but friendly as ever. He will not only check your ID but he will also let you know to keep your mask on unless you are eating/drinking. He's the one to see you in and he'll be the last one to see you out of the establishment at closing or when you're just outside the door waiting for your uber to take you back across town. I absolutely did NOT ever care for sisig until I had theirs. I came to Kapuso for the first time on October 28, 2020 with some friends who'd become regulars here. They insisted that their sisig was amazing and that I had to try it. I did and since then I've been hooked to their lechon sisig. It is the one thing that I always want to order when I come here. The other thing that I always enjoy is their lumpia. I tend to squeeze lemon onto my sisig and have that with some steamed rice and go to town and feast on the good stuff. It really is so good. You have to try it for yourself to know. Service is always the friendliest. There is ample parking and it's free. There is no cover charge. On Wednesday and Thursday nights there is a DJ, 2 actually. You have "DJ Reckless" and "DJ A Ron" spinning. They are quite a pair of characters. They are fun and definitely entertaining. If you ever have a chance to check it out, I hope you will give this spot a chance. It is a family run business and they definitely appreciate their patrons. They do a dang good job and this spot has come to feel like home for me. It's a safe place and everyone here is so friendly. I have had the opportunity to help a friend set up for her birthday here as well. The staff were so sweet to let them decorate as they wanted. Some of the staff even helped out for no additional fees or charge. They also helped her set up a cake and gift table. They were so sweet. This is just another way that you know that this is a family run business. They aren't out to rip you off. They understand and they really appreciate their customers, DJ's shouting out thanks to their customers as well as the military patrons that support their restaurant. If you want to do karaoke with NO judgement, what better place than to do it at a filipino restaurant? I came here with a friend because she was interested in trying filipino food. There was a lady next to us singing her heart out, didn't care what she sounded like or who was watching and everyone in the restaurant acted like it was just a regular day. I love that!!!! I do love their food here but the man taking our order, filipino man maybe in his 40s with a cap and glasses, was rude. We told him what we wanted to order and he kept pushing us to order more and more even though there was only 2 of us. Mind you, my friend is taking medicine that prohibits her from eating a lot. He just kept pushing and I told him in Tagalog that we knew what we wanted and to walk away and put our order in. The whole night after that, he was so rude and just throwing our food at the table, not saying anything or checking up on us after that. After a disappointing experience from a newly opened Pinoy "fIne dining" in LV, we decided to give KK a try. We're in town from California where we frequent our local Noypitz and Gerry's Grill. Both restobar features authentic filipino food, warm kababayan hospitality, and great entertainment. KK is definitely much better than the newly opened "fine dining" restaurant in LV. Let's take for example the staple pulutan, sisig. KK sisig is hands-down better with full of flavor and just the right texture...sizzling sisig is how it should be. The sisig from "fine dining" restaurant seems like it was left out for half an hour, it wasnt appetizing. The owner, we didnt realize until we left, was so accomodating with the guests and having conversation with them. This shows the owner appreciates and cares for the guests. I understand that the "fine dining" recently opened, I'm sure they will learn from their critics and hopefully make some adjustments. But for now, I prefer Kapuso Kapamilya. If we're in town again, we will definitely return, we had so much fun and had so much delicious food!!! Well done! read more

I came here for karaoke. There was a woman who was shaking me down to buy her a meal (or maybe it was for someone else). She wanted me to give her FIFTY DOLLARS!?!?! I refused to give it to her, so she dropped what she wanted me to give: five dollars. I refused, knowing full-well this was a shake-down. She became very aggressive, citing basic human decency, and then had the audacity to tell me God would judge me for my actions!?!?! I calmly replied, "That's between me and God." She then went over to the only group in the restaurant and decided she would share her exchange with me--a complete stranger--to this group of people who were apparently also complete strangers. Classic bully. Whatever she told them must've been a doozy, because when I went up to sing, not one of them clapped or paid any attention--and out of the lot of them, only ONE was actually a decent performer! I'm not saying I'm very good, but karaoke is supposed to be fun and engaging! The KJ, who also seemed nice, wasn't very engaging. I missed my song the first time around because I didn't hear him call my name...IN AN EMPTY RESTAURANT. And the Cray-Cray lady? She decided she would record me while I was singing-- I really didn't care, but it was evident she was trying to make me uncomfortable. The level of immaturity she displayed was typical of a grown woman throwing a tantrum for not getting her way--or possibly psychotic--take your pick. I informed the bartender of my encounter, who seemed to know this customer's behavior was irrational, claiming she was crazy and I should just ignore her. The bartender, nice enough as she was, told me she would ask the woman to leave. It never happened. I was considering coming back with my friends prior to this unpleasant and bizarre experience toto try the food--which seems to have received positive reviews on Yelp,, but after this experience, I will NEVER go back--especially if tonight's patrons are indicative of the type of clientele who frequent this establishment. It's just a classless joint, and it's not worth it to me to lower my standards just to look at a screen and sing into a mic. Upon reflection, I felt like I was in an upscale karaoke bar and restaurant located in a 3rd-world country, where every drink on the menu seemed geared towards young customers who lacked sophistication and experience enough to appreciate a high-end cocktail. Just a bunch of sweet, sugary cocktails. The wine selection was pretty disappointing too. Moscato? Yuck! And Costco sized bottles of Cabernet, whose wine was, at best, oaky, but certainly lacked body and complexity. Also, there were probably 8 people in the group, and at most, 12 people in the entire restaurant. I got there at 10pm. Everyone in the group had already had their dinner, were drinking, and had their turn. There was only $1 in the tip jar. Like I said, classless. I tipped $5 to the KJ, left my tip for the bartender and left. Not because he was a good KJ, but because I felt sorry for him, and he was actually WORKING to EARN my tip! Oh yeah, and I tipped the KJ while Cray-Cray lady was standing right in front of me, lol! I guess, after visiting my friends for the past 15 years, they have NEVER mentioned this joint. They seem to have some regulars which were overall made it a great experience. The place is small but can probably sit close to100 people with a small full bar. This business has been in the local Las Vegas scene since the 90s and I'm glad I finally came across it now. The main dish people flock here for is the pork sisig. You just can't compete it with the other Filipino restaurants In town. Not to mention they have a full bar with the Filipino beer staples, San Miguel and red horse! You will be greeted with karaoke singing and great music spun by djs there all week long. They just remodeled as well and entertainment there is very lively and I recommend it if you are going for a night out. I tip nearly or higher than 20% and i sing and dj and bartend and i definitely feel that these prices, the sound management is bleh. There's better filipino places, food and prices, better karaoke, and better vibes elsewhere. I'm no longer a fan and won't be coming back ever again. The karaoke host is more interested in hanging with homies and drinking than karaoke. The bartenders have no personality and always sound like there's an issue. This place is perfect for so much and is just wasted potential. People here are so caught up in themselves and interested only in their groups. Unless you're filipino and speak tagalog and are rude like they are. You will jot get exceptional service. Paying for food here is god awful you can cook this food at an amateur level for 10 times less the price and without the hassle of dealing with any of the bs i mentioned above. Seriously karaoke elsewhere. Eat elsewhere. Drink elsewhere. Just do not visit this place. I've been coming here on and off since opening and never felt welcome here. Definitely karaoke. Definitely a pub. Definitely Filipino. It's def a smaller version of Cafe Moda so I wouldn't be shocked if the two places are kaibigans. To me, the food and drinks are overpriced. Which doesn't shock me-its a Filipino establishment. Gotta make dat $$$ man!!!! And being Filipino, of course I'm going to think it's overpriced. But in all sincerity, there are other places throughout Chinatown/Spring Mtn Ville that has better karaoke (in terms of ambience), & cheaper food and drinks. But I do give 5 stars for wanting to lurk in dark corners because this place has ample dark corners to lurk in. Definitely where you bring your secret lover. It's true, you better know how to sing because this DJ can SING. However, call me bias but my niece who sang the last night we were in Vegas rivaled the DJ's voice. Anyhoo! My husband and I don't do karaoke not because we do not drink but because we just never did care for karaoke. However, our family has some talented singers and musicians. And this is what the older crowd chose to do while the younger crowd decided to take on the rides at New York New York. This place is a filipino owned business (hence, the filipino name). Around this area is what I would call asian city because right across the street there are various asian eats (thailand, japanese, korean) with Kapuso beckoning across the street for anyone to sing after eating. I almost missed Kapuso and was about to whip my rental car around the parking lots but my husband pointed out that it was across the street. I gritted my teeth, smiled nicely and drove into the little parking lot. As I stepped out of the car, the sign blared up brightly at us. My first thought was "Ugh...a karaoke BAR" but hey...last night with the family that we may not see again for awhile, so we stepped in. Your typical karaoke bar with a dance floor *eyebrow raised*. Our nieces and nephews waved at us from the back. All I could think of is "I'm hungry..is it just filipino pupus?" Our waiter didn't come right away to where my husband had to grab menus. I was not in the mood to eat filipino food but I chose their shanghai lumpia when I was actually craving for...pulehu steak, fries, soybeans, and chicken! But, I settled for the shanghai lumpia because you can't go wrong with that appetizer. As we listened to everyone sing, we found out that next door was for dancing. As we sat there and was wowed by our nieces and nephews, I noticed that they have a great list of songs from different genres (filipino to contemporary pop, rock or R&B). Another thing I noticed is that the DJ would deliberately place herself on the lineup list for individuals who were singing. IMHO...if there are alot of people coming here to sing, can Kapuso minimize the amount of times that the DJ sings? Yes, granted she is talented but I don't know. It started to seem like she was showboating especially after I noticed she would deliberately sing after anyone who sang really well just to try and "one up" on them. I kept thinking that hopefully someone will nominate her to be on "The Voice" Anyhow, overall experience was okay. The family time spent there is what upped my rating to four stars. If you like dimly lit karaoke bars, this is a place for you. If you want to listen to everyone including the DJ sing, this is the place for you If you are craving filipino food and want to sing Dahil Say Yo afterwards? Very good spot to hang out and just have a very casual, very fun night. Immediately walking, I was greeted by a fun energy from Karaoke night. There was an open mic karaoke competition happening and the whole place was packed. It was just a great fun though because many people participated in any range of skills and it just showed how infectious the fun in the place is. I wasn't able to try out the food but they have a full wet bar. With the right people, I would go back again and check out of their menu. One thing I didn't like was how small the place is to accommodate that much people. It was packed to brim and maybe that's because they had to make room for the karaoke stage. It was just slightly uncomfortable sometimes. Also, they were a but understaffed so the servers were running around everywhere. Like it took about 10 minutes just to get a Corona from the bar. I just think that if the venue is hosting an event like that, they should prepare better for a larger traffic so staffing would've helped a lot. I didn't mind the wait because there was a lot happening and it was fun, and I know it's not the servers and bartender's fault, so hopefully if I do come back and it's another event, i wont have to wait an hour for a food order. read more

This place was so much fun. I went here for my birthday. It only takes me a shot to loosen up so when I did I got the courage to sing, since it is open mic. I even requested electric side and had everyone on the dance floor. It wasn't that busy of a night, but met a few good people. Everyone was ok/nice, i think the lady at the bar was kind of rude. Half of my party was there, but 3 of us showed up late. She took our menus away even though we told her we didn't order yet, even the dj was confused as to why she did that. Also the food was ok, portions are small, I'd say enough for 2-3 people, $15-$20 plates. I paid $40 for pancit bihon and Kare kare. I was stupid enough to tip without looking at the bill but my friend told me they automatically charge for service. Also if you pay with card it's 3%. I would like to come back and maybe just drink here, but even then I bet the drinks are expensive. I wouldn't know because one tata paid for my shots because it was his bday too lol. My friends told me I'm glad we had a good time, but we're not coming back lol. We had our company Christmas Party here a few days ago. We preordered 6 entrees for $150 per tray. 4 out of the 6 entrees were unappetizing, looked old possibly left over from previous days. Nobody touch it. The pancit is soggy & overcooked, beef & broccoli is over cooked & soupy, chop suey is soggy & looks like sinigang, beef steak Tagalog is way too salty. We talked to the owner to get a refund of the 4 entrees that no one ate but she refused, according to her there's nothing wrong with the food. The owner didn't have a clue what a good customer service is, instead of giving us a refund or replacing the food she keeps insisting that there's nothing wrong with it. Everybody involved with the party was extremely disappointed. This will be our first & last time to use this place. Stay away from this place!!!!! Bring your business somewhere else.
