    Pork Sisig

A friend recently mentioned this restaurant had changed ownership a few times and the new owners set up is much better than the last. The food is supposed to be better as well. They serve Filipino food. They played great music. There is open karaoke and some nights have a live band. The restaurant was set up nicely, it wasn't very busy. I stopped by to pick up lunch, however, they didn't offer any lunch specials but they did have Silog plates available all day. I ended up ordering the Pork Sisig to go. Not what I expected! When I've ordered Sisig from other Filipino restaurants, it's usually crispy and flavorful . For the price, it didn't even come with rice. It was chopped up soft pork pieces in lime soup. Not what I expected so I was kinda disappointed. I won't be ordering this next time! I am still open to come back to try something else or the crispy palabok, which I saw a customer order.

Someone ate my leftover pata I had just bought noodles for so I came to get another one and wanted to check out a different spot. It was a couple bucks cheaper but still like $25 though I appreciated the garlic rice was $1.50/scoop. It was a Saturday and they had karaoke. People seemed to be enjoying themselves. Never been here before and it looked different on the inside than what you'd expect based on exterior views. Food was at the register and ready to go. I opened the bag in the car but there was so much plastic wrap it was a project for home. What stuck out was the heat and styrofoam. The pata was so hot it was melting the black styrofoam and plastic. Talk about adding insult to something I shouldn't be eating in the first place. I was a little leery but just spent 30 something bucks and had to work to block that out. It'd be fine dining in but the to go experience I won't repeat. The meat took longer to taste the flavor. Some bites you could taste the heaviness of the oil. The rice was just ok, the garlic pieces were harder. It just didn't flow like it should've. Like I said, ok for dine in, not takeout.

Came here for lunch one weekend on a whim and on a friend's recommendation. It was fairly empty, maybe three other tables occupied, so there was no wait to be seated. Beautiful interior and decoration; I definitely see how it's used as an event/performance space. Great menu and offerings. You had classic silog options (pick your meat with garlic rice and fried egg) as well as a lot of a la carte options. Our dishes included the lechon-silog, the sisig-silog, lumpiang shanghai, and mango sticky rice for dessert. The lechon was great - very crispy exterior but meaty and moist on the inside. They also asked if we wanted any sauces, which was great because I dress mine with soy sauce and vinegar. My husband's sisig was so good - lots of flavor, good crisp and tendereness balance, and a hint of heat with the bits of jalapeno. I was a fan of the garlic rice - oil fried so it had that slickness without being mushy or too dry, and the garlic crisp bits were a great textural balance. We all loved the lumpia as well. Our least favorite was the mango sticky rice, but I won't fault them for that. I think we expected Thai-style mango sticky rice, but this was much closer to a suman or biko-style dessert. It did lack sweetness in the rice/sauce; the only sweetness we got was from the bits of mango. The only fault I'll give it, because we loved the food, is the service. Our server disappeared for a little bit, so it took a longer than we expected to ask for and receive the check, but when he was present, he was attentive, helpful, and quick. But overall I would definitely go again - I want to see that sizzling sisig in person :)

We came here for a comedy show called Late Night Lumpia. I'm giving them an extra star because I hope this wasn't their normal level of service. The food was fine. Lumpia Shanghai were crispy and not burned. I thought the dipping sauce was odd. We also got the torta relong, which while tasty, was a little light on the eggplant. We had to ask for a bowl of rice, which I think is weird at a Filipino restaurant. Hubby got a Money Business, but he said it tasted more like a daiquari. The restaurant was clean and spacious. The decor was fun and the sound system on point.

Filipino Bar and grill. We had so much fun in this restaurant. Was karaoke night when we went. the ambiance is energetic, fun, and inviting. Anyone can sing, two songs per person to give other people a chance to sing. Everyone was so friendly. There is a dance floor and people were dancing and just having fun. The food- we ordered a full tray for a party of 6 and we had left over. The platter includes pancit, lechon kawali, bangus, eggplant , egg rolls, chicharon bulaklak. We also ordered sinigang salmon. Drinks- cantaloupe juice Dessert- halo halo Parking-a lot of space

Uncle's Tapas Bar and Grill in Henderson serves authentic Filipino food with great attention to detail, from the banana leaf presentation to traditional dishes like bangus fish, lechon, and pancit. Everything tasted fresh and homemade.

We were a party of 14 that dined here for lunch. There was only one server at the time but he was very efficient and attentive ( forgot his name ;/) Food was great and surprisingly fast. For those who loves karaoke they even have mics on the tables! Place is large enough to accommodate multiple large groups. This was about 20 mins drive from the strip. Happy tummy for all!

We always get our catering package here! Crispy sisig, highly recommended! Recently we had a family event where they rented the whole place for catering. Had a good variety of food selection, we loved thier pork bbq and egg roll. They also serve Alcohol & Boba. The best part is they have karaoke and a dance floor! Is a full event venue! A very good experience for us tonight. Our 1st time here. We came to try their food but we were greeted with dancing and karaoke. We ordered tortang talong, bistek Tagalog , garlic rice, lumpiang Shanghai and monkey business drink. They cooked all their dishes well !!! I love my eggplant, how I missed it. Our waiter and waitress were very attentive and encouraged us to participate in karaoke. I'm glad there's a place like this in Henderson. Plenty of parking. And they have different activities everyday like every Tuesday they have a line dancing instructor for free and everyday there's karaoke and a live band on Saturdays. This place can be loud due to karaoke. It can hold big parties and they're encouraged. This is good for parties and celebrations. We will definitely be back.

    Sinigang Na Baboy

Very authentic Filipino food. We have been twice, once on a Tuesday night when they had karaoke and dancing. It was a little loud but the food more than made up for it. The second we went for breakfast and it was slow inside but very quiet and the service was great, our server even brought us a free dessert. 10/10 will be back anytime we want Filipino but don't feel like cooking.

Pork Adobo I paid $19 for not even 1 serving. How DISAPPOINTING! Talk about taking advantage of a take out order!

A serving worth the price would be nice! Don't think I want to go back to this place. I would t recommend take out! They will cheat you!

I've seen this location on rainbow a few times and thought to stop by to see how the food is. Location is right by a little strip mall with cafe zupas and a yogurtland right next to it. We came on a tuesday afternoon for a lunch and parking was easy to find. We were greeted quickly and sat at a booth area. The smell of the food hits you as you walk in so that was a good sign. They served us water quickly as we looked at the menu. I ordered the sizzling pares which was tender marinated beef cubes with a side of garlic rice and an egg on top. My mom ordered the grilled pork chop and lemongrass chicken with the garlic rice. All of our dishes came with a fried egg on top. Everything was very flavorful. Highlight was the sizzling pares with the rice and egg. With the sweet sauce mixed in with the rice, it was perfection. We had a little bit of leftovers for lunch the next day and left satisfied. One thing that could be improved was the cleanliness. The booth that we were seated at was by a wooden panel. When the sunlight hits it at an angle, you could see the oil streaks and it didn't seem too clean. Floors were a bit dirty too. A little bit more cleanliness would make the atmosphere better. We would come again!

I ordered the beef nilaga, a traditional Filipino beef soup, and enjoyed having the opportunity to find this dish locally and other common dishes, but they have their version of some dishes that I have also not tried before. Most of the staff appeared to be Vietnamese, so if you order a Filipino dish, they may not always be familiar with all the ingredients or details, which can occasionally lead to some confusion due to a language barrier. I can't fully speak to the authenticity of either cuisine, but it's nice to have a comfortable sit-down restaurant that offers more Filipino food options. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and has a wide variety of dishes to choose from. While there were a few minor shortcomings, I appreciate having another place in the area that highlights Filipino cuisine.

I saw a fly on the buffet line, and I also observed a woman in the kitchen handling and preparing food without wearing gloves. Seeing that immediately killed my appetite. Food safety and sanitation are non-negotiable for me. The buffet selection also felt disappointing. There weren't any new dishes compared to my first visit, and several items seemed to be made with lower-quality ingredients than I remembered. The service was just as disappointing. I came during lunch, and several employees were sitting together at a table eating with their hands while customers were walking around needing assistance. No one seemed interested in checking on guests or providing service. It gave the impression that staff meals were a higher priority than the paying customers. I really wanted to like this place because my first experience was positive, but this visit changed my opinion completely. Between the sanitation concerns, lackluster food, and poor customer service, I won't be returning and unfortunately can't recommend it.

FOOD #19 - Famous Five Star - 9.1 / 10 A combo platter featuring Kalbi Short Ribs, Ribeye Teriyaki Beef, Chicken Katsu, & Teriyaki Chicken. The Kalbi Short Ribs were impressively meaty. Usually, other Hawaiian places serve fattier ribs with scant meat. The ones here were decently substantial & decently trimmed of unnecessary fat. The sauce is thick, savory, with just the right amount of body + sweetness. The Ribeye Teriyaki Beef is similar but in the form of the best cut on meat. No bones, no necessary fat. It's everything I think of when I think "premium beef". I could eat an entire Family Size bowl of this stuff + steamed white rice. Again, the exact same teriyaki sauce is miles above any other Hawaiian place because its thick, umami, & not-too-sweet. The Chicken Katsu is thick + generous in portion. In fact, this plate was a decent portion to satisfy me & my buddy for a few hours before our epic dinner at The Golden Steer. The macaroni salad was refreshing, medium-bodied, & not too creamy. The macaroni noodles were not-too mushy. The salad itself was noticeably less sweet compared to that at other Hawaiian restaurants. The teriyaki chicken was lean & not fatty. Again, the same sauce really carries this protein to a higher level of other Hawaiian restaurants' teriyaki chicken. Like I said, the owners here are putting in a lot of work to make their offerings miles above what other Hawaiian places do. Hot Dog Masubi - 7.5 / 10 Granted, I'm more of a spam masubi kind-of-guy, this was still a refreshing take on a Hawaiian classic. The peculiar redness of the hot dog links is oddly satisfying. A pretty big size for a snack. Rice was well cooked. Seaweed had a nice chew.
