I told them I had a free service and they saw that in the system but that's not what they did. I overheard the lady behind the counter whisper that we were willing to pay the difference even though it is their fault . At that point I was unwilling to pay but my partner was at work and had already paid the entire amount online so that I did not have to have any issues. They reached out to the owner and we were assured that she would reach out to us and fix it. My partner reached out to Jodi (the owner) and she did not respond. This was in February and it is now May. I waited to post this in hope that I wouldn't have to because they would make it right. I understand that the groomer needs to be paid because the work was completed but their mistake shouldn't have been my problem. Oh I forgot to mention how we came about the complimentary service. The original cut was HORRENDOUS (see photo) my partner wrote a review about it and they offered us a complimentary bath and tidy to take it down. She agreed and removed the review(shady). All I want is my partner's money back. This review did not need to be posted but I hate that fact that we were taken advantage of by this business.

The convenience of the mobile service is hard to beat too. It's a little more expensive than service at a brick and mortar building, but it's worth it in my opinion. Maria is working with just one dog --yours--from start to finish--so it's way less stress for your baby. I should also mention that Maria is the best, kindest, most competent dog groomer in the DMV. Full stop. If you have a small dog, don't even *think* about going anywhere else! Not only will your furbaby be gorgeously groomed, you will have the peace of mind of knowing he is being cared for by 1) someone who genuinely loves dogs, and 2) is also incredibly talented and experienced. At Paw Spa, Gabrielle, the owner, was very patient with her and though I left her in a nervous state, when I arrived she looked relaxed and happy to see me. I am overly pleased with her shave down and I now have a new groomer. Please, go to Paw Spa. They are affordable, friendly, and black-owned. When you arrive, she meets you at the gate behind her house with a bonnet on her head without greeting you at all. Her plan is to take your dog and walk away unless you speak. The energy was so cold that I ended up speaking first because I felt uncomfortable. I almost canceled the appointment because something felt off, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I should've followed my instincts and left. She also charged a $30 matting fee, even though I didn't feel any matting myself--but I paid it without questioning. She texted me at 11 and informed me that he would be ready in an hour to an hour and a half but wait for the next message. I headed to her house and once I was parked I received the exit text. I never received the exit text until 1:20 PM . She claimed she sent it at 11:59, but it never delivered to my phone until I was outside of her house. As soon as the message reached me, I thought I was completely on time. Her own instructions say she has bad service so if she can have bad service other ppl can too. She informed me that I missed the grace period. I explained that the message had just come through. Her response was, "Did you not read the entire message?, I told her I thought after I received this message I had 30 mins but I was already outside of her house. After she saw I wasn't going to pay an additional late fee she just told me to meet her at the gate. This is exactly why a business with bad service should call--not rely on unreliable texting. When she handed me my dog, her face was angry and she still didn't speak, didn't greet me, and had an attitude. And what concerned me most was that my dog wasn't wagging his tail or acting happy afterward, which is not like him. If she treated me that rude, I can't help but wonder how badly she treated my pet. I was shocked at the way I was treated as a new customer. Between the lack of communication, the rigid rules, the attitude, and the fees on fees. I said never again. I prayed over my pet and I would never go back even if I could.

She was receptive to our needs (we have a shy Shetland Sheepdog, Grace), and she is so easy to work with. Her finished groom was OUTSTANDING, and everyone in The Dog Park was friendly and outgoing (unlike many groomers here in town). Very fair pricing, a gentle and loving attitude from Saoirse, and a wonderful finish for our little girl makes giving The Dog Park and Saoirse a much deserved 5 Star rating!

I called and spoke to an employee about the situation and he advised me to email pictures of my dog's face. I did so to his email address twice and a general email address, and I never got a response. Even if he did I not get the emails (not sure how he could have not), some type of follow up would have been considerate. I don't appreciate the incident with my dog being dismissed, especially since I paid $140 for his grooming. I would have appreciated more kindness in the situation. I will not return and have found a new groomer.
