I travel around the country for work so I've been to a lot of Chevy dealerships. Karl Chevrolet is absolutely the best one that I've been too by far. All the way from the bottom to the top! I had a bad def tank on my 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 high country and they were on back order. They didn't know when I would get the def tank so Nate in parts spoke to the General manager and got me a loaner. I've brought my truck into allot of places and they never offered me a loaner . When I asked for one nobody would ever give me one. Karl Chevrolet from my experience is all about their customers. No matter if you bought your vehicle from there or not, they are going to do their best to take care of you! When I got tired of waiting for the back order def tank, they brought my truck on a flatbed to Nebraska and picked up their loner. I couldn't get over there to get my truck so they made a another great customer care decision for me and didn't charge me a dime. I'm telling anyone that reads this, Karl Chevrolet is the absolutely the place you want to go to get your new or used vehicle. Also if you need service or parts, this is the best place to do business! Everyone is extremely friendly and are out to give the customer the best customer care that you can get. No matter where I'm at If I want to buy another new truck, I will travel all the way there and buy from them. I was so surprised how quick they got me in and got me back on the road! I was on the road for my 2nd job when my tire started going flat very quickly! I stopped at Casey's near by but the damn air pump wasn't working! I was down to 9 psi and these people were so amazing, quick and helpful! Not only did they get it figured out quickly, but I was able to utilize my Buick rewards to pay for the total! read more

What a beautiful newer dealership with a HUGE new auto shop! There are designated buildings for new, used, and their shop. All of which are clean and bright. Staff is super friendly and helpful. And they have a great selection of vehicles. It's only about 30 minutes from Des Moines and totally worth the drive. read more

My 2017 Chevy Volt (a hybrid car) broke down in Fontanelle, IA, and I tried to find a local mechanic to fix it, to avoid high towing fees. Karl Chevrolet in Stuart, IA was the closest repair shop in the area that works on Chevy hybrids, so I had it towed there. After a couple of weeks and almost $1700, they called and said it was ready for pickup. After 60 miles of driving home to Omaha, it started having the same issues, breaking down again. Karl offered to tow it back to Stuart, but I declined, as the car was now closer to Omaha, and I didn't want to make another (or multiple) 200-mile round trip to Stuart after they attempt to fix it again. Also, given that the car experienced the exact same issues on the way home, I thought they might try the same fix again. After towing it to a mechanic in Omaha, they diagnosed a larger problem with the hybrid system. In hindsight, I should have towed it to Des Moines or Omaha, as it seems mechanics in larger markets have more experience with hybrid cars, and can determine the root cause of the issue, beyond just what the error code reader tells them. The staff at Karl Chevy in Stuart are friendly, and they probably do just fine when working on standard 20th century internal combustion engines, but for 21st century technology, I'd recommend taking your vehicle into a city. read more

We exited I-80 at Casey leaking coolant from deep down in our Duramax while pulling a 5th wheel. I called around for somewhere to tow the truck and everyone had the same answer, Karl Chevy in Stuart. They definitely knew what they were talking about! When I talked to John in the service dept and told him our situation he said he could look at it first thing in the morning. We were able to limp to the city campground for the night and the tow dropped it in their laps at closing time with a 5+ hr. job to fix and they hit a home run!! By 4 :30 the next afternoon they DELIVERED the truck to us in Casey and we continued on our way. WOW! 10 stars don't begin to express how we were treated by these wonderful people.
