The service at this Karla Sucks I placed an order on line for pickup when my husband got there he didn't pay attention because he thought everything was correct and just left. Well let me just tell you it wasn't 1st I ordered a breakfast I believe it was the number 1 we asked for it with ham and when we got it it was 1 egg that looks like the tried to scramble it so much to make it look like 2 and yes you guessed it no ham whatsoever the. I ordered a pasty tray like the picture shown on their website which includes beef guava and cheese pastries only to receive something with coconut and some weird ones the 3 cafe con leches which I paid extra for where supposed to be dark and with sugar they were horribly light to be honest tasted like warm water down milk. So I called and the manger wouldn't get on the phone she kept on screaming her responses to the lady on the phone. Her explanation to the pastry tray was I should have specified which ones I wanted which it does not give you that option. My order was a $60 dollar order it wasn't a $5 dollar order when I asked her what we can do to make it right like if I could take the wrong items back for the correct ones I was told "Que Pena pero no" wtf . So I'm stuck with the wrong food and no way to make it up to me . This location needs a reality check asap I really hope the owner reads these reviews read more

I came here to grab a quick bite with my mom and of course they're like friends instantly, the staff is awesome. I love how they make everything fresh and the croquetas were sooo good! I got normal sunny side up eggs with toast, and to take home a pan con bistec which was enormous. I dislike when places are stingy and this place is far from it and there portions are much bigger. I also found out it's 24 hours.... I'm glad I'm a safe distance from it because late night croquetas would be the death of me in westchester. They really have re done this entire shopping plaza from when I last saw it, which should bring more business. There's only one problem about this location: la carreta is across the street. One of the male employees is cross contaminant and is constantly touching multiple things without cleaning his hands or changing his gloves. Brand new Karla Bakery in Westchester on Bird Road. I stopped in for the first time today. Oh dear.. not good, it's open 24 hours! We need that like a kick in the head. But I have to say, it looks good- pastelitos are fresh and sandwiches look interesting. For example: they have an omelette sandwich, loaded with those skinny (yeah, I bet!) julienne fries. That's dangerous! I don't usually eat at the Karla's out there, so I don't know how they are, but since this one just opened so close to my neighborhood, I decided to try it out. I try to eat healthy, exercise, and normally choose egg whites with veggies for breakfast, oatmeal etc.. and for the most part (I am not kidding), that is what I do. But every once and awhile, I do crave warm, crunchy, toasted bread with café con leche or a croquette sandwich and hey this place looks pretty good. So this one is situated in a shopping center and competes for attention with Pollo Tropical and Subrageous. There is lots of parking available. My husband said the set up inside reminds him of Starbucks. On the Sunday morning we were there, only one employee was taking orders and another was making sandwiches in the back. She was friendly but a bit slow. During the week, if they want to thrive they need to make a few changes: additional staff, water available for the quick "pastelito and cafe cubano" stops. (This tip from my husband who is always in a rush to head to work). They almost need a side that takes the quick orders; like cafe, pastel, and toast. And another person taking care of the orders that take a little longer. If you have one person doing both, it will drive some of the type "A" fast paced folks out. Most bakeries, to be successful, need friendly, fast and efficient service. read more

Great place, great bakery. They have some really good pastries, especially anything with guava and/or coconut. The place was clean. The service was good but a little all over the place. If the lady at the counter gets more than 2 people she gets flustered and forgets half your order but they're good about making things right. A little on the $$$ side but it's fine. I hope the Corporate looks at this and act before it gets worst. This location has been going down hill since before the pandemic (I would say since the change of franchise). This bakery was one of the best bakery's around. You can always count on great service and even better food. But since the change it's gone down hill and fast. Today I was there after some time because of the product ,or lack there of, I got last time. I ordered something simple a mixed tray of mini pastelitos. The young lady (very sweet and pleasant) got a tray from behind the display which had guava, guava & cheese, and cheese pastelitos. Put it in a bag I paid and I was gone no problem what so ever. When I got to my store (across the street ) I opened the bag to share with my employees and it was only guava and a few grave and cheese. NOT WHAT WAS ADVERTISED. I went back and spoke with the young lady who took care of me (again extremely sweet and professional) and she informed me that that is what they have. She went to the back to speak with another employee when I asked for a refund and she came out and told me that that is all they have (she did have a little attitude but it was ok not rude at all) she informed me that they can not do it because they were never trained to do it and the manager is the only one that could do it. NOW LET ME GET THIS REALLY CLEAR ABOUT SOMETHING. Today is Saturday on Fathers Day Weekend. The Management is no where to be found at 10am. I got the telephone of the manager because the 2nd young women there had to take care of the customers that were there in the back. I as a business owner know all the challenges we all have in tying to get employees to work and it is challenging to be able to take care of customers short staffed. But on a weekend like this to not be present, have untrained staff ( who I will repeat again were very kind, polite and professional), and here is the worst part of all. THEY ONLY HAD LESS THEN APPROXIMATELY 15 Pastelitos is completely UNSATISFACTORY!!! I know the young ladies were doing there best and I was feeling bad for them because of the situation. I just bought 3 regular cheese pastelitos and left 1 so know they had approximately 10. What kind of a CUBAN BAKERY on a Saturday at 10am not have pastelitos and NO MORE STOCK IN THE BACK. SOOO COMPLETELY BAD FOR BUSINESS. Also, since a have a reward program I received a 20% discount for Fathers Day. I was there when there where 2 different delivery services picking up orders and they were both incomplete because they had no product. Again BAD BUSINESS. I hope they take care and address this because it is a complete shame that a business as great as this was be going down hill so fast and close. I wanted to do 3 and a half. It doesn't let me. But I guess 4 is fair. The place is actually really good. It's clean. It's nice. They seemingly have a lot of really nice looking yummy food. The displays are great. I thought I was just grabbing a guava pastelito but I saw a really tempting chocolate eclair and opted for that instead. My only negative remark is the employee there was a little pushy, confused, and not really into my playful banter. She could've been nicer and happier. Maybe she was having a bad day. SO DANGEROUS! I live right next to this bakery!! AND it's open 24/7!!!! I walked in there today and everything looked very clean. I was greeted by both of the girls behind the register. The menu looked extremely appetizing! I ordered a Pan Con Pollo and it definitely did not disappoint. The sandwich was huge!!!! The girls that work there are extremely kind. Let me first start saying thank you for being one of the few restaurants that were open on Christmas day. Karla bakery sandwiches were amazing. My mom and I ordered the Cuban Sandwich which was great. The sandwich that was hands-down the best still was the sandwich my stepdad ordered which was the steak sandwich. The steak sandwich was honestly five stars. The steak sandwich consist of your typical steak with tomatoes and mayonnaise and potato six but it also had ham and cheese inside. You really get your moneys worth with that sandwich and it tasted amazing. Our Cuban sandwich was great but we kind of regret it not ordering the steak sandwich. Overall this restaurant was really good the only reason I would give it four stars was because we ordered a couple things from the bakery and it was cold. So when I came to sandwiches it was great the only problem was that some of the things from the bakery were cold. read more

Addicted to the steak sandwich (A huge portion) and I believe it's the best in town! Service is fast; always friendly and kind. My hunger was owned by this bakery. First time visiting this bakery, but definitely will not be back. The place is nice and clean and the croquetas and pan de bono were pretty good. But service was horrible. 1 of the young girls working was super rude. I walked in and she did not even acknowledge I was there despite me saying hello. She was counting money so I assumed it was because of that, but once she finished counting it she did not even asked what I wanted, she proceeded to call someone else from kitchen and both of them continue trying to figure out a money count on the register. A third person came to help them out, and she was the only one who asked if I wanted to order something. She was nice and professional. The other team members should learn form her. great place to eat croquetas and to complete a typical breakfast in Miami. I have being eating croquetas with Karla since they open in 65th ave and Flagler and never had an issue till this morning. If you go and ask for croquetas and you are told they are ready to come out, please make sure they are fully cook. I ask for 8 croquetas this morning and only 3 were available at the moment; once I got the croquetas and got home, they look great but were cold and uncooked in the inside. So, Please make sure the person that is cooking them, has the appropriate time frame to allowed for them to cook fully. I had to place them in my oven and successfully cook them and yes they were a masterpiece but not a great experience for my family to bite on a cold uncooked croqueta. Thank You LCL read more

I ordered some croquetas and pastelitos by phone, it was a special day ,it was my brothers birthday; 30 min later when I arrived to the store I asked the lady for my order, the first thing she said was "are you sure you ordered on this address"; instead of asking me for my name which I told her by phone.She was assuming already that I made a mistake. Then she told me that she gave the order to another lady which arrived earlier ASSUMING that she was my girlfriend. Without asking names or anything she just gave my order away.
