So excited that they opened a location in the cinco ranch area! I've been to karma way before when it was Koala Kolache in Cypress. Service is always great and food is always tasty and having me wanting more. The new location has a beautiful display and decor is nice and clean. I ordered a Mac and cheese Kolache but was accidentally given the baked scalloped potato (I'm not upset since the baked scalloped potato tastes sooo good!!) Need to hire people. I tried Saturday and Sunday morning to get donuts. Saturday I left after standing in a line that didn't move for 20 minutes. Sunday I was number 6 in line and waited equally as long. They have 1 person taking orders while another fills all their online orders. Meanwhile people are showing up, waiting, and leaving empty handed. The busiest days of the week and 1 person is helping customers. Imagine going to Starbucks and 1 person is doing everything for the customers in the store. This is reality here. Time to find a new donut shop. read more

I think, THINK, I am being kind with this rating. The selection is nice and everything has always been fresh. But the biggest selection and greatest freshness doesn't really matter if you don't. have. enough. They are constantly out of items every time we've gone. It's not like we are late in the day either so I just think they are not making/buying enough. The kolaches are sadly over-priced. There's no nice way to say that. Yes, they taste ok (but just ok, not anything spectacular) and there ARE a lot of options. But you can get similar (or better) quality for far less dough in Katy. The Kronuts taste EXACTLY like the ones now being served by several other local shops. It almost makes me wonder if the shop is buying these pre-made (which happens more than you think). I'm just not willing to pay a min of $.50 upcharge for cute decor. $.50 upcharge PER ITEM, btw. I keep seeing price increases from the times (over a year) we've been dropping in here. This gem popped up one day and the menu looked very good. I ordered the pizza, mac n cheese, sausage and gravy, Philly cheesesteak, jalapeño popper, cheeseburger and bacon egg w/ cheese. They where all supper stuffed and worth it! My favorite was the Philly cheesesteak and least favorite was the jalapeño popper. I like spicy food but it was just too much for me. You can't get better kolaches anywhere. They have creative flavors and they are a perfect size. One of my favorite things is the apple fritters and today we tried Kronut bites which melt in the mouth. They have a coffee condiment bar set up where you can creamer and sugar, but you can also add flavored syrups to your coffee. The atmosphere is chic. She continuously repeated that she needed certain information for me to receive my order. In first impression, best donut and Kolache place in Katy...at least inside my OG Cinco Ranch "bubble". We don't get donuts often and are a treat / special occasion, so not a connoisseur but have had my share! As usual over ordered and didn't try everything we got but will be saving those for later. Croissant sandwich & Chorizo Kolache were delicious (had delivered so were cold and needed a quick zap in uncle Mike, but still tasty). Kids tend to stay in their lane with plain glazed and sugar donuts and they gave thumbs up which aren't just given away. Karma Kolache has some of the best kolaches and donuts. They have a lot of flavors to choose from. You can't go wrong with their standard sausage and cheese kolache. If you want to venture out, their spicy boudain, bacon, egg, and cheese, or cheeseburger are delicious as well! Filling to dough ratio is perfect. I find some places give little filling with a lot of bread, and that is not my jam. However they make their dough, it just comes out super soft and fluffy. No dry bread around here! Their customer service is amazing as well. I think we were ordering so much from them, that they began to recognize our names. Lol! They gave us a free variety box of donuts on the house just because. During this pandemic time for them to go above and beyond like that just shows how appreciative and caring that they are of their customers!
