This place is so cute!!! It was over a hundred yesterday and we were trying to find a fun place for our toddler (and ourselves) to get some energy out. They have three main features: arcade, soft play area, and the go-karts. They also have a little lounge area at the front and a small snack bar (chips, juice, soda, etc). The arcade machines were limited but very fun - included a little carousel that our kid loved. Softplay area was great, our kid was doing loops, going on the little swing, into the ball pit, going down the large slide. Go karts were very fun, they let you go around many times, which makes the cost per round definitely feel worth it! Overall, it's a great spot, wasn't overly crowded (we came on a Sunday just as a private party was finishing up), and the staff was all incredibly kind and accommodating. Definitely call ahead before you go (they recommend it too) to make sure there isn't a private event. And there was plenty of parking down the side alley/lot behind the location. read more

Not a pleasant experience, especially when you're trying to celebrate a 3-year-old's birthday. We called ahead and spoke to the owner Lucine, who told us the soft play area had a private party but the arcade and kart racing were open to the public. We called again when we were 30 minutes out to ask about height requirements. Our call was missed -- and they called us back, so they had our number. We drove from Simi Valley to Sherman Oaks to find the entire place shut down for a private event. When we arrived, Lucine informed us that the party had upgraded their package, which resulted in the entire venue being booked. They had time to make signs for the party but couldn't take two minutes to call us back and save us the trip. Or save my 3-year-old the disappointment. When I said I'd be sharing my experience, Lucine handed over free passes -- then asked if I'd still be leaving a review. That told me everything about the gesture. It wasn't an apology. It was damage control. We may give them another chance, but this visit was sloppy and unprofessional. Call ahead if you're planning a trip. And maybe call twice. Edit to add: I already noted in my original review that an attempt was made to remedy the situation -- bringing it up again here with a dollar figure attached feels more like a rebuttal than a genuine response. For accuracy, what was offered to my three children was two rides and an arcade card each. I'd also push back on the characterization that it was 'gladly accepted.' When you're walking out the door disappointed with three kids, accepting something in the moment isn't the same as feeling made whole. As for the 155 five-star reviews -- a business that opened in September with 155 Google reviews but only 21 on other platforms raises valid questions. That kind of gap doesn't happen organically. It happens when customers are specifically directed to one platform. An honest review is not an attack. I cannot express how nice and gracious the staff were. They were so accommodating and made sure all race car riders were safe and everyone in the arcade had no issues. My 6 and 3 yo had so much fun here. My oldest got to race on the track and also played with my youngest in the soft play area. They both also played arcade games (entrance is free and you purchase separate coins for each activity: race, arcade and soft play with packages avail). The place is pristinely clean which I am very particular about. Everything looks brand new as they opened just a few months ago. We didn't get to try everything out like the cute bowing game but we will come back for sure. The venue itself was spotless and well organized. We chose the unlimited arcade and go-kart package, and it was hands down the best decision (aside from choosing this venue!). It's so hard finding a place that is able to entertain the older kids also at the same time! But not here at Kartopia. From real life car races, to soft play, to a trampoline, to bowling, to video games! This playground meets the needs of all ages of your kids and is a perfect one stop shop to make sure the whole family is having fun. They also offer a wide array of snacks and other concessions. It's clean and well maintained, with the friendliest and most inclusive staff. My nephew is on the spectrum and the owners were there during our time of visit. The whole staff was so mindful. friendly, and ready to help or answer any questions at a whim's notice. It's as if they took extra time to make sure my kiddo was doing alright and was having fun. He wouldn't let go of a bike at the end before leaving and the owner, Arthur gave it to us for free. That's what type of humans this establishment in run by! Just genuinely good hearted people who are in it for the kids and for the love of kids having fun and living their childhood to the fullest. We just went here last weekend for a birthday party and were blown away! Kids birthday party places are usually pretty filthy but this place was immaculate. The owners and staff could not have been kinder and the space is set up perfectly for all ages. The go-karts are electric so no smelly fumes and they take safety seriously.
