My new favorite bánh mì spot without a doubt and I am a bánh mì snob originally from California :P The bánh mì is fragrant, texture is the perfect softness inside and light baked crunch on the outside. The fillings- we ordered the Đặc Biệt (Combo), thịt nướng (grilled bbq pork), xíu mại (Vietnamese meatball), and heo quay (roasted pork), and not a single complaint on the amount of meat, veggies, or flavor. Everything was spot on. Carrots and daikon were julienned to perfection, the amount of butter was just right, we loved every bite of every sandwich ordered. The flavorful meat to veggie ratio was the best we've ever had in Oregon- hopefully they keep this up. For now, skip all of the other banh mi joints that are 1000% overpriced that fill your sandwiches with more carrots than protein- save yourself from the disappointment and just make the trip to Baguette Bros! Pleasantly surprised at how lovely and modern the restaurant is inside! The service started the second we were greeted upon entering. We came around lunch rush on a Monday. I ordered the 1A to compare with other banh mi restaurants in the greater Portland area. It came out with a crispy baguette. They filled it to the brim with a mix of different meats and vegetables. I loved the amount they provided. I did think they put in a little less pate and butter that I usually prefer, as it took a few bites to taste. Great spot located in the small shopping center just east on Nyberg road off of I5. Walked it and was greeted right away by the staff. My son and I are fans of Banh Mi Sandwiches, and this place is new to our area in Tualatin. We ordered the Baguette Bros Special Sandwich and the Lemongrass Pork Sandwich, in which we added Pâté to them. They were so delicious! Better than Lee's Sandwiches. The lemongrass banh mi was well balanced, flavorful, and the bread was everything you'd want in a banh mi- Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. To get a fresh vietnamese baguette sandwich of this quality in this part of town is unheard of. We had the vietnamese cold cut and lemongrass chicken sandwiches and they were huge and delicious. Usually you have to go to east portland or beaverton to get these sandwiches. Even if you're not an asian sandwich fan, you should come just to get a fresh house made baguette. I tried my wife's Lemongrass Pork and that was probably my favorite. The bread tastes like it's made fresh too. Service was great- I think they might be working out some kinks since they opened only a few days ago but they seem to be more than willing to make everything right. As far as ambiance goes there isn't much to talk about- it's basically a deli. The tables were clean and condiments were stocked up, music selection was decent. Only baguette I've had outside of Vietnam that was like the ones you get in Vietnam. Super light and fluffy with perfect crispy outside. There's a really good place in Hillsboro, Vivi's I think but even they don't have baguettes like the real thing. I walked in 20 mins before closing. The customer service is fantastic. I ordered a few different things. One item was the BBQ pork bun. There were no more in the case but he said he could make me one Togo if I wanted one. I ordered 2 Lemongrass pork sandwiches. No jalapeños and one with veggies on the side. One ham and cheese sandwich from the French sandwich section. My kid said she would order the Ham and cheese again it was good. She said there was plenty of ham on it which usually there is not. I devoured my sandwich and have the other one ready for lunch tomorrow. I saw that they make their own beef stew so I picked up a bowl for my wife. I'll find out tomorrow what she thinks. While I was waiting for my Togo order I saw flan in the stand up cooler and asked if they made it there. She said they make everything there including the strawberry and blueberry croissants. We have a really short list of favorite eateries in Tualatin, so Baguette Bros is a really welcome addition--especially since they are EXCELLENT. The menu has a solid selection of sandwiches: Banh mi, French, and breakfast styles. There's also rice bowls, a few soups, and the traditional Asian steamed buns so a wide range of appetites will find something to satisfy their hunger. Beverages include complementary water to a broad range of coffees and teas. The restaurant is clean and roomy and the staff are friendly and helpful. We've tried several of their banh mi offerings and the lemongrass pork rice bowl, and they were all excellent. Prices are very reasonable and this place is an excellent place to grab a meal without breaking the bank. They open at 9 a.m. for breakfast or brunch.
