Surprised there aren't more reviews on here. I have been happy every time ive been to kate and allys for dinner, I have never tried their catering service but would if I needed one. The food is always good and cooked properly, and the service is always right on! Glad they are local and saves me from going to applebys where i don't want to go. I have picked food up here also and its just as good and why would i pay the same price at a local pizza place for penne vodka with chicken when I can get it here. read more

I can't write enough good things about them. We recently had them cater our Wedding. Marilyn was amazing to work with and put together an incredible menu for the evening. Her staff was fantastic and took over with such professionalism. I never had to ask them for anything or lift a finger. And I actually enjoyed myself without any worry. The food and service were amazing They packed and left everything spotless. You would have never know an event had taken place. First time at Kate & Ally's, & just sorry it took so long to try this awesome restaurant. The staff was very friendly & professional. The menu choices were great. Prices are on the high side & there is not much of ambiance in the décor, but.........the food was amazing!! There were 4 in our party, & each one of us was more than happy with our meal. Everything was piping hot, & fresh, & tender, & seasoned just right. And the plate presentation said it all. This is our go to place for special occasions and lacking those just to get there. The BYOB allows you to overlook sometimes pricey items No la carte surprises here. You are treated to a bruschetta, immediateley, then hot ciabetta bread with an amazing crock of herby garlicky butter. A crisp salad with a choice of several house made dressings. then your entree. Don't overlook the appetizer offerings. My favorites? Gnochi in red sauce, and the clam & spicy chorizo dish (better share if you want to get though dinner) The New York Strip steak is a star and you can have it with a potpourri of sauces. A recent special was Pork Ossobucco, huge, falling off the bones, accompanied by their special pan potatoes and fresh veggies. And at the bottom of their price list is their famous Vodka Penne Pasta for under 20. My family and I have eaten here twice, and both times were superb! It's a very cozy, quiet place, BYOB, and the food is about as good as it gets. Everything from Italian to She-crab soup, you can tell they put pride in their work. In addition, Kate & Ally's catered our wedding in January. The service was great, and the food -- well, people are still talking about how great the appetizers were! How often do you get good food at a wedding?! At Kate & Ally's, you get the best! One of the few 5 stars I give. Food was amazing, pace was leisurely, prices on the high side but worth every penny. BYOB accommodations we on point and service was attentive without hovering. I can't single out any one dish over the other ( there were 4 of us with entrees and we ordered 3 apps ) as they were all amazing. Restaurant is located in a small shopping center so I was prejudiced to think the food might be so-so because it was not a stand alone. I was wrong. This will be one of our new go to places. Check the hours before you go as they seem to vary and make a reservation. You won't be dissapointed. read more

I have used Kate & Ally's Catering before and so have family members and friends. Very disappointed, with Kate and Ally's Catering, on August 18, 2018, I had a 21st birthday party for my daughter. I ordered a full tray of chicken francise. When I opened the tray of chicken, it was thick chunks of chicken, my guest commented that the coating was to much and the sauce was thick and a white color, with no lemon flavor. read more

I used this caterer for my sister's wedding. So I can't speak to my sister's (the bride's) feeling about the caterer, but after being at the prep meetings I can attest to my experiences. Overall they are not great at communicating schedules. We attended what we expected to be a one hour meeting and stayed over 3 hours! She sat there and re-typed up a contract in front of us (awkward silent pauses as she typed and everything), then printed it out, and had printer issues. It was so disrespectful for our time, especially since we were from out of town and had to travel hours to get there, and she wasn't even prepared. Their food is great (hence the two stars) I would definitely recommend the restaurant, and even them as just a caterer - but as an event planner you're better off just doing it yourself or finding someone who has a little more experience and professionalism. read more

I went to dinner here last week and ordered one of my favorite dishes, rack of lamb. When my food came to the table the presentation was quite appetizing. However, when I tasted the lamb it was very meaty and grainy. I told the waitress that I was unhappy with the taste of the meat. She was very accommodating and offered to change my dish. I told her I had a bad experience with lamb once before and it was similar tasting to the piece I cut into. Then the owner came to the table and told me if I had a bad experience with lamb I should not have ordered lamb and that I wasted a rack of her lamb. I could not believe what I had heard. This eatery came highly recommended and I could not believe how rude the owner was. It would have been more appropriate to say how could I make this better for you. read more

We have eaten here a couple times. The service is very attentive and helpful and the food is good although it is loaded with salt. We didn't like that the waiter told us about all the specials, mentioned that if we wanted the lobster tails stuffed with crab it would be another 4$ more but never mentioned the actual price of the lobster meal. When we received the bill I was taken back that the lobster cost $75. Although the meals were good, I didn't like that we had to be surprised by the prices. May never return because of the inability to keep customers informed. If anyone else goes ask questions (which may have been my mistake) and keep your fingers crossed when receiving the bill. read more

Have dined here often, each time It has been specutular. Recently they hosted my daughters baby shower. Our 50 guests had a wonderful sit down meal. We had people come from Rhode Island, Connecuit, Pennsylvania, California and Florida. Everyone agreed it was the most beautiful baby shower they had ever attended. Food, service, etc. they are simply wonderful. We highly recommend them and will always use them. read more

One of the best restaurants in the area. Consistently very good. Other places put out good and bad meals in some sort of mystical rotation, but Kate and Ally's gets it right every single time. It is quieter early in the evening and gets a bit noisy as the place fills up and people take advantage of the BYO policy. We have eaten there 8- 10 times and never had a problem. read more

We had our rehearsal dinner here the night before Thanksgiving. They were easy to work with and helped us keep our dinner budget-friendly! We were able to drop off the beer and wine the day before-one less thing to worry about the day of. When we got there, the room was set up wonderfully-all I had to do was place a few centerpieces on the tables and we were ready to go. The cheese display and dinner were both amazing! We never felt rushed and Kathy checked in with us throughout the night to make sure everything was running smoothly. We were referred to Kate and Ally's as our wedding caterer by a few people, and when I first looked at their catering menu, I was excited by the affordable price. After talking to them on the phone, I was even more excited about the idea of customizing menus, using our own recipes, or creating our own meals with the chef. We met with Kathy, the assistant, many times. She is very professional, but not very pleasant to work with. We had a very non-traditional wedding, and we were on a tight budget. This full catering service company brings more than food, and unfortunately, we felt they brought quite a bit of judgement as well. They knew from the beginning how much we had to spend on catering, but there were hidden costs at every turn. All of a sudden we were required to pay $300 for the maitre D', although we had less than 50 guests. It was an added $200 fee for glassware instead of plastic at the bar, and the list goes on. We had to cut some things, like having the full bar set up, in order to afford the required things, like the maitre D, but they made us feel very uncomfortable about it. They also offered me a "free" service of working with my rental company for me, but it turned out it wasn't "free" and in the end they were trying to take the 10% off that the rental company had promised to give to me. We felt very awkward working with Kate and Allys. They seemed to pay attention to tiny details, but on the wedding day, things were still incorrect. The food was delicious, and everyone raved about the professionalism of the servers, how attentive they were and how high class the food was, but the experience of working with them for the past 8 months, probably makes me wish that I had found a different caterer. read more
