    Crab Tacos, Steamed Clams

Amazing food, attentive service & a cozy spot for dinner! We have tried Kate & Ally's a few times when it was catered but this was our first time dining in. You need to call for a reservation to make sure they're open since they are super busy with catering but they generally have some availability each week! The crab tacos were incredible. I wish I got 100 orders of them. They were the best crab tacos I've ever had! For dinner we had the two of the specials: Short Rib Gnocchi and Seafood Lasagna. They both had so much flavor and were delicious. They also have an extensive dessert menu - we took home a slice of cake which was also off the charts. Can't wait to be back!

I have been trying to get into Kate and Ally's for over a year. I called and was able to get a reservation last minute. I have never been so happy that I got this reservation. The food was off the charts. The Service, was also amazing. Very cute little restaurant as well. Everything on the menu sounded incredible and I was going to order the filet mignon with au poivre sauce until they told me they had a halibut special for dinner. Halibut is my favorite fish and needless to say it was prepared in the most delicious sauce. It was in a lemon white wine, butter, caper sauce with fresh tomatoes, and also came with three large jumbo shrimp. It was served with a side of asparagus and roasted potatoes. My boyfriend had the filet mignon in a Gorgonzola crab sauce. He is an incredible griller and he said he couldn't have made that piece of meat any better. It was cooked to perfection. The only thing better was the special we had for an appetizer. It was gnocchi with short ribs. It probably was one of the best things I've ever ate in my life and I'm still dreaming about it. Also, the portions were large that we took so much home, and what I also loved is that the food came out piping hot. I am a big advocate for desserts as I love my sweets, but we were so full... definitely next time. This was one of the best meals I have ever had, and I look forward to hopefully being able to get a reservation again soon. If you can get a reservation, grab it. I highly recommend Kate & Ally's. Also... It is BYOB.

Yes he poured the wine in the water glass but I still love him.

Food and service is amazing here. My husband was born and raised in Point Pleasant so he has always had the best and freshest seafood one could ask for. Kate & Allys has the best lobster bisque that we have ever had anywhere(that's saying a lot)!!! This is my favorite place to eat. EVERYTHING they serve is just amazing.

Food was great! Atmosphere a bit dated…read more We dined with you guys and sat near a table of 2 men and a child that were not very nice to the waitress. The waitress handled herself with such grace and kindness after the man continued to give her a hard time. Later, I listened as he requested for her to ask the manager to take off a percentage for him being he was a veteran. After she walked away, they started laughing and the one guy said, you're too much. It was clear that he wasn't being honest. He certainly wasn't a veteran and sadly the couple we were with has a son serving in the military. Unfortunately, this man took advantage of this opportunity and I was upset to see that someone would lie about serving our country. I did compliment the waitress for handling that table with dignity after being treated so poorly. She did say they honored a 10% off discount for him and it wasn't warranted because he lied. Kudos to your wait staff for dealing with rude customers and liars.

I recently met up with some friends to listen to a live band, and it turned into another great night. The weather was perfect, the outdoor seating offers beautiful waterfront views, and the atmosphere is always fun and relaxing. I ordered a salad, which was fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Whether you're stopping by for dinner, drinks, or live music, Captain's Inn is a great spot to enjoy everything summer at the Jersey Shore has to offer.

My boyfriend and I came to the Waterfront for the first time a few days ago, and I cannot say enough great things about it. The bacon wrapped dates appetizer are a MUST! We had dinner upstairs first, and our server Julianna was very nice and did a great job. Afterwards, we headed to the outdoor bar downstairs for some live music. The staff seemed genuinely friendly and fun to interact with. The band was so talented, and sunset view over the water was immaculate. Our bartender Katie was awesome, and made us a delish rum bucket to match the vibes. Manager Vinny was so kind and a pleasure to talk with. We even had the opportunity to talk with the owner, Joe, who was so friendly and welcoming. Great music, genuinely delicious food and fun friendly staff results in a really great date night. We will absolutely be returning soon!!

Tonight specifically, I went to dinner with my girlfriend for an early Valentine's Day dinner, and had yet another pleasant experience! I ordered a ribeye steak, it was cooked perfectly, which is something that rarely happens at restaurants. It was also very good, one of the best steaks I've ever had, which is especially impressive for a non-steakhouse! I was overall very impressed tonight that it prompted me to leave a review. Not that I haven't been impressed the other times. Our waiter, Chris, was also exceptional. Very speedy and proficient in the serving process. Very accommodating and constantly asking to help. Went above and beyond to ensure us a good experience. The atmosphere every-time I go is great, I always love the southern-like feel with the country music playing, and the clover leaf to highlight Irish heritage! Would recommend this place to anyone, they always deliver a great experience. Look forward to returning as I always do. They have never disappointed! Of course, nobody is perfect besides Jesus. My only critique is how long it took for us to be seated when we first arrived. This, of course, is a good sign for the restaurant, as they're busy! I'm just nitpicking, but I did get impatient while waiting to be seated. After that, I had yet another tremendous experience as always! I wish I was able to give 4.5 stars, because I don't like to give out 5s as nobody is perfect besides Jesus, however 4 stars is too low! Think of this as a 4.5 star review! Well done to Caffrey's as usual, and waiter Chris!

I expected to see more younger folks singing but it was mostly a Boomer night. Service is always great and tonight was no different. My only (recurring) complaint is how does a place that prides itself as an Irish Pub serve ICE COLD Guiness. I knew this from past experiences, so I ordered a Guiness with my martini and let it sit a good twenty minutes but it was still cold by the time our dinners were served. Bar seats were at a premium until after the dinner rush. Then it opened up a bit. Pool table is always busy when I have been there. Im sure we will return, but Im not sure I will order any more Guiness until they get serious about serving a proper stout.

We were greeted and sat by a pretty young lady named Kat (I'm just guessing that it's spelled with a 'K'), who said she was tired and at the end of her shift, but was still full of energy and very sweet. She went on to answer our questions about the seafood bar and about the menu too... The seafood bar was small but full of great seafood choices! The interior was fitting for the area, well lit, had wood paneling, a large bar and plenty of seating. Also, since it is a bar, the urinals were made from old kegs... A cool addition and an 'up cycle' idea. Food... I was hoping for some Irish dishes, but because they closed early for the holiday, they kept the menu limited, so I opted for the next best thing, a big ol' burger, salad, and a bowl of clam chowder, which is not common where I live. The clam chowder was full of clams and vegetables, but not tomatoey at all. It tasted as good as it looked. The side salad was large, fresh and refreshing. My burger was just how I like it... Thick, juicy, flavorful, and spicy! I order mine med rare, Blackened, with jalapeños, bacon and cheddar, lettuce, tomato and onions on top, then add hot sauce. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in the area and try some other things.
