I didn't not go to this location to comment about the actually place but I ordered off Uber eats. First let's mention what went wrong. I called to request to have an item without cheese and was told she would look at my note, that I was also adding to my comments on Uber eats. Wellllll, nope my food still came with cheese. So that was a big fail. For allergy issues that's something they need to be a bit more careful with. When I did call to complain they did offer to send another other but issue was it was already late and they don't even delivery to our area as you can see we used Uber eats. Guy on phone was apologetic Now for the reason they got 4 stars. Very large potions on the meals so I believe the prices were great. We had garlic knots and mozzarella sticks (husband has this) he said it was very delicious. My husband also has the lasagna and absolutely loved it. Said it was very fresh and food came warm. I had the chicken parmigiana (suppose to be no cheese) and was able to get cheese off some areas so I was able to have some. It was good as well. All the meals came with bread, pasta and salad. My wife and I really love this place. It's been freshly painted and decorated. We have visited for both lunch and dinner and always come away impressed with the food. Always delicious and always have taken home enough for another meal. The biggest value is their lunch menu which is a few dollars cheaper than the dinner menu. But the food quality and quantity seems to be the same. I usually go for the eggplant rollatini which is my favorite but this time ordered the chicken scarpariella. It too was delicious, so I'm adding it to my list. I've tried other dishes which were good but not as tasty as my two favorites. Outside of the food, the service is good and the atmosphere is as well. There's a gas fireplace that is nice for our upcoming winter dining. Takeout is much better than dining in. Serving staff seems very inexperienced. Our server was A-a and she looked overwhelmed taking an appetizer and pizza order. The night started by me ordering a seltzer with lemon. The lemon was brown and moldy. She was nowhere to be found for drink refills and I had to give my daughter my daughter my water. We never received plates before our apps came out so we needed to ask for them. I was starving and needed to bite into a buffalo wing while we waited for the plates. Ordered a "white broccoli tomato" pizza which clearly states on their page it's a white pizza ( no red sauce) with broccoli and fresh tomatoes. I received a regular red sauce pizza with broccoli on it. It was actually quite good but not what I ordered. Ordered a Sicilian pizza with two toppings and extra cheese. They delivered a round pizza. We asked them to refund us the difference and they said no and instead would remake it. So two hours after the initial order was placed they delivered the Sicilian , with barely any cheese on it. If I could give one star i would. Filthy. I stopped in with my bride for a large pie & some garlic knots one eve in July 2023. Pizza was cold for the simple reason that the prude face waitress left it on top of the order counter for 20 minutes. had the nerve to bring it to the table. flies were everywhere, when we looked up at the white ceiling it was literally black. No freaking joke the live flies were perched on the ceiling as well. when we sat down the table was so sticky you couldn't touch it. we asked the waitress to clean it when she finally got to us , she said that's just the way they are. She said they're actually clean, & the reason why they are sticky is because they need a deep cleaning?????? walked out after getting the cold pie. They are also BYOB, which I like because there's nothing like a bottle of wine to complement such fine Italian food, and you tend to get better value when you bring your own. Place a catering order 3 days ago for Christmas Eve. Pick up was scheduled for 5:30pm. Arrived on time. Only the appetizers were ready. The owner was confused about the order. They never made the 4 trays of food. Had to wait over an hour for them to correct the mistake. In the meantime, the owner was belligerent with staff and customers. Customers left without their orders and refusing to pay. The owner offered me a bottle of soda for my troubles. Also, anyone heard of 1/2 tray of tomato-mozz salad costing $60.00? I was so disappointed. We stopped for their dinner special because it had been a busy day and neither of us wanted to cook. The food was terrible, the service was bad and the flies and gnats were EVERYWHERE! We complained about the flies 3 times but the server just said "yea, they're bad"; we never saw a manager or anyone who actually cared that our entire meal was spent killing flies. I ordered the eggplant parmagiana and my husband had the Italian trio (chicken parmagiana, penne vodka and ravioli). The portions were large but were not tasty. The tomato sauce was bland and the eggplant was bitter. The bruschetta was on soggy bread with a sweet balsamic drizzle; it is the middle of summer at the Jersey Shore, you would think they could find a ripe tomato to make the bruschetta. The salad was a typical salad but mine included the "butt" of the lettuce. We were not given water (although our server did say someone would be around with it). By the time dessert rolled around I was done, we took it home to enjoy without the flies. The cannoli was quite good. We will not be back. read more

My first time eating at Via Napoli- a recommendation from a family member in the area. I was having a hard time finding it on Yelp as i was told the name was Villa Napoli. Anyway we were starving so we ordered a lot. 2 pies, 2 dinners.. The pizza is best described as Football pizza (barstool review reference) doughy crust, full flop, papa John's style, which in New Jersey is an insult. So Overall not horrible, but not great. For meals we got spaghetti and meats balls and a baked ziti. Both came with salad and bread. The best part of this was the salad.. You could tell the ingredients were super fresh. The bread was hard, and not very good. prepackaged for To-go orders at some point during the day and stayed in the warmer to long. The entrees were ok at best (maybe we are being a little kind) . They were both lacking sauce and so they were dry. Which was a big factor, we'll know next time to order extra sauce on the side.. so I won't get pizza from here again but we'll try entrees again , and maybe sandwiches.. hope this was helpful! read more

We order from Via Napoli pretty regularly, my fiancé loves the wings. A couple times, they've sent all bone-in and had to send another driver out with boneless, mistakes like that have never bothered me, even when company sits and waits for the food that they ordered. Tonight, however has put such a terrible taste in my mouth, I will quite literally never suggest ordering from Via Napoli again. Working in restaurants almost my whole life, I know that New Years Day is a busy delivery date, which is why I didn't even blink when the girl on the phone told me it was going to be an hour for delivery, no problem. What I do have a problem with, however, is the driver showing up with a regular 2 liter, when I ordered a diet, slimy, cold eggplant parm, cold garlic knots and a salad with- no dressing. When I called, they offered to re-fire an order and have it delivered which is nice, but at 7 PM with a delivery time of 1 hour for one dinner, I declined. Overall, it's fine that my order was clearly thrown together with no regard that I'm a paying customer, that happens I guess. But for every aspect of my order to be cold, wrong or disgusting, that just solidifies my decision to use another pizzeria in town from here on out. read more

Gotta start by saying that I'm loving this place! The food was good and the portions were large. It was clean and everyone was friendly. What's not to love?! We reserved a table for four and glad we did because it filled up quickly! It's not that big, it's kinda intimate but family orientated as all the tables are seated for four or more. Our waitress, Katie, was very friendly and attentive. Things I do not hate is getting grandma pie pieces as a complimentary appetizer. Such a great idea! The "bread" was pizza dough with garlic topping which was good. The chicken Murphy, scarparella, and Marsala were all equally good. The grilled eggplant Italiano was cooked perfectly. Had a great dinner here this week with my family. We were very happy with the food, atmosphere and service. For food, we tried the chicken parmigiana, veal parmigiana and chicken scarpariella. The chicken and veal parmigianas were both tender and had a nice red sauce. My favorite was the chicken scarpariella which had slices of sausage, onion and mushrooms all in a pink sauce, very yummy. The whole meal was very enjoyable from the hot fresh bread that came out to the included salads that came with the meal, the house creamy dressing was also very good. The entrees had very generous portions and came out on top of pasta. I'd definitely like to try some of the other entree options as well. For service, our server was very friendly and welcoming, making the whole dining experience one in which we would like to come back to. The other nice thing, is that they do BYOB here, so we also were able to bring our favorite wine and have it with dinner. The restaurant itself isn't fancy but it was very clean, decorated nicely and the tables were spaced far enough to have a peaceful meal if it did get more crowded. I had a specialty sandwich delivered from here about a month ago or so while visiting relatives in the area and damn I must say it was memorable. I ordered a chicken and broccoli rabe sub with an addition of mozzarella. Not only were they ok with me customizing what I wanted, they did an amaaazing job at it! The ingredients were very fresh, and the chicken was cooked perfectly- juicy, tender, and well seasoned. My favorite was how they added a good bit of garlic to the broccoli rabe- deeelicious! The sammich was crazy big in comparison to what you would typically get from an Italian place back where I'm from (central NJ), and you could easily share it between two people. We went here based on the reviews here on Yelp & were very disappointed in the food & service. Upon arriving, there was no hostess, after a few minutes a waitress walked by, asked us how many & told us it would be 15 minutes. After 15 minutes went by, she came back & told us to go take the table in the back. She didn't walk us to the table & after a few minutes she brought over our menus. This is a very small, cramped place with 2 waitresses serving all tables and 2 other helpers setting, & clearing tables. Twice during our meal they ran into each other, spilling drinks & empty plates while practically running because the walk from the kitchen to the tables is so far & they have to go around a corner. Our waitress offered no suggestions or any sense of caring that we were paying customers. This was just a get 'em in, get 'em out as fast as possible job for her. We had to hunt her down for refills, our meals came out staggered. My daughter was almost done with her pizza before my mother & father's meal came out, a few minutes later the last 2 meals came out. As far as the meal goes, we had the garlic clams & while they tasted good, they were tiny clams, the meat was about the size of your thumb nail. One person could have eaten 3 dozen of these as an appetizer, which is not even close to what you get, I think it was maybe 12. I got the clams casino & they appear to be frozen & reheated, not made fresh on site. The flavor was dull & one of the clams was bad & we didn't eat it. My daughter got a small pizza & while it tasted good, the crust was soggy & limp. My youngest got the Penne Vodka with chicken. The penne vodka was very good, but the chicken was very thin & rubbery, almost like an imitation chicken. It was not edible. I had the Italian Trio of chicken parm, penne vodka & raviolis. The penne vodka was good, the ravioli's were good, but the marinara sauce was so acidic it was sour. The chicken parm did not have a crisp crust as it should, but was soggy. My mom had the chicken Marsala with capellini & was very happy with it. My dad had the veal dish with eggplant (I forget the name) he said the sauce was very good & 1 piece of veal was good, the 2nd piece of veal was overly salted & very tough. Coffee was good, my kids loved their cheesecake & I had the chocolate dipped cannoli, but found the cream to be far too runny. I'm so disappointed in the poor service & food quality because I came from CA (originally from Toms River) & really wanted some authentic Italian food & this was a severe disappointment. I ordered the Manicotti, three large Manicotti with a flavorful sauce-Very Good. My wife had another salad, the Via Napoli Salad and it was Very Good. For dessert, I had a large Cannoli, with a delicious filling. Portions are large and the the prices are very reasonable for the high quality level. Staff and server were very nice and accommodatiing. Setting is simple and comfortable. Via Napoli is the best casual dining I have found on the Jersey Shore for Quality and Value. Put it all together, and it's 5 Stars. Ordered the Mozzarella Caprese for an appetizer. received four slices of under rip tomato with two "marble" size balls of Mozzarella on each. Ordered the Chicken Parmesan. Received one frozen processed, breaded chicken patty over pasta covered with "jar" sauce. Received a small basket of bread, asked for some additional bread and was charged! Coming all the way from Philadelphia, not a super impressive feat but definitely not a quick drive, I arrived back at the office having realized I left my portfolio next to my chair at the restaurant. All it took was a quick phone call to Brandi who handles the shipping and my stuff was on its way back to me. Brandi was prompt and professional confirming when my stuff was shipped, even supplying me with the tracking number and copy of receipt.
