They told me I would need a root canal after I expressed that if I needed a root canal, I just wanted the tooth pulled. I had already spent $560 for the crown up front. I was in such bad pain that I had the tooth pulled from an oral surgeon that I found myself the next day. The oral surgeon stated that he was very surprised that this office even considered a crown because there was a very large black cavity inside the tooth visible from the surface. I kept the tooth in my possession for proof. I contacted this office for a refund of my $560 for a crown I never got. And now a week later, they are treating me with frustration and giving me , the patient, a run around and I even had to call my insurance to express my concerns to make sure they didn't fraudulently charge my insurance ! Every time I call this office, I get placed on hold or treated with a bad attitude with words like "the Dr is busy and I don't know what to tell you". I called again today and SUSAN told me to get an attorney ?! What the heck?! I'm very disappointed in the lack of humanity this business has displayed. I will be calling corporate. UNFORTUNATELY, THEY HAVE THE SAME BUSINESS MODEL AS FORT MYERS. WARNING - STAY FAR FAR AWAY I have Medicare and am supposed to get an exam and a cleaning yearly. I have had my teeth cleaned every 6 months for over 40 years and in the past my teeth would be cleaned and the doctor would come in and do an exam and report his findings. I rarely had any cavities and was never pressured to have say old fillings taken out and new ones put in. At Coast Dental they have a neat scam. They refuse to clean your teeth claiming that you have one or two spots that need extra scaling or cleaning first. I should have read they pulled this on the yelp writer. I have since found 6 people who they also did it to and all went somewhere else and found they didn't need the special work Coast dental claimed. In my case they wouldn't clean unless I paid $600 extra. The one I read on yelp was $2000. Mind you i have no problem whatsoever with bleeding or redness or puffiness . They also said I had no cavities. But refused service unless I paid first. I have checked with my old hygenists and they said that with a little massaging the number they quote on the gum scan reading will go to where it is considered within limits. I HAVE SINCE LEARNED THERE THERE ARE DISREPUTAL DENTAL COMPANIES THAT PULL THIS TYPE OF SCAM TO GET MOE MONEY CLAIMING THEY WOULD BE "NEGLIGENT" IF THEY CLEANED YOUR TEETH. AMAZING THAT I HAVE HAD OVER 100 CLEANINGS AND IN EVERY CASE BUT THIS ONE MY TEETH WERE CLEANED, I HAD THE EXAM AFTER AND HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE AND YEARS WORTH OF CONTINUED SERVICE WITH THESE DENTISTS.
