Beautiful interior with local artistry. Extremely friendly staff with ample vegan options and drinks opted for the vegan veggie wrap with which was delicious and they had some vegan pastries.

I absolutely loved the mocha frappe served in an ice-cold glass--how original is that? The service here is friendly and down-to-earth, creating a wonderful environment where you can comfortably work on that review you've been putting off--LOL! I came in a bit late and unfortunately missed out on the quiche since I arrived just an hour before closing. If you're able to visit when Kate is open early be sure to enjoy that, along with all the other sweet, delicious treats she has to offer. With free WiFi and a cozy couch to chill on, this place is the perfect spot to unwind or get some work done. Kate truly knows how to create a smart and inviting atmosphere!

Trying to edit my old review. The service station works! How could I ever doubt Kate! Today the tables are full of fresh flowers it creates a friendly lovely vibe. A lavender latte and quiche! Yum!

We had excellent salads and tried the chicken pot pie soup , which was delicious. The staff is very on top of things, excellent mom and pop restaurant.

Earthquake Espresso, Breakfast Burrito and Border Town Sammy. Sooooo good!

We instantly fell in love with this place! The coffee was amazing. The food was even better! We will definitely be back! Kate was a delite!

Very impressed!!! Not only do they have yummy sandwiches (love the chicken salad) and soup (their chicken tai was heaven) but they offer gluten free options AND off-the-charts customer service! I stopped by yesterday around 1:30p and the woman who waited on me was so friendly and helpful. She remembered I liked pickles and gave me two. The kitchen staff changed gloves/covered the cooking surface to make my GF sandwich (which is amazing for us Celiacs). Highly recommend!!!!

I was driving through and found this cafe on google and it was so wonderful. Everyone who works there is so sweet, they genuinely care about the customers. They knew so many locals names and orders. I got the summer salad and the toast with cream cheese & tomatoes. It was so delicious. I only wished I wasn't too full to order their pastries because those looked so yummy too. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch to anyone passing through!

Great breakfast place! Crossaint with fried egg, avocado and havarti cheese. With fresh fruit.

Quoth the Raven "Evermore!"…read more Has an accessible entrance, flat flooring, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom. Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of the building, the upstairs seating area is only accessible by stairs. Quaint, charming café that serves lunchtime treats, coffee, and pastries. The hot cocoa is divine! I really like the literary/"dark academia" vibes and decor, as well as the many cute birdie knick-knacks roosting about the space. Service was friendly and unrushed, I felt free to linger and enjoy at my leisure. I will make it a point to stop in here whenever I pass through Port Huron! I dropped in during the week and there was zero-wait for a table, although I imagine the place probably bustles on weekends!

Our server was amazing especially with how busy they were. The Bloody Mary was excellent. Perfect amount of spice. I got the bon bon olive feta melt with turkey. It was so good. Melted feta and provolone cheese with black and green olives, red onion and green pesto on an olive baguette. Delicious. My friend got the Maelstrom salad with turkey, cranberries, Gorgonzola and bacon along with the lobster bisque which was delicious. All the dishes we saw looked amazing. I wish I could have tried dessert but I was stuffed. Definitely worthy of the drive there.

This is a cozy, no-frills place with quite a few booths (that are comfy!) and a high ornate roof. I…read morelike that the tables were not cluttered close together and so it would be a great, not-too-noisy place for conversation and working. However, some of the booth seats seemed a little old and torn, and the window area by the booth seemed a little dusty, like it could be neatened up more often. Other than that, we really liked this place though. First, the service was warm and excellent. The staff were great at answering questions about the menu and giving recommendations. Next, the chocolate butter tart was excellent! There are two options of butter tarts (a particularly Canadian treat), a plain one and a chocolate one. Having consulted a server, they highly recommended the chocolate butter tart for chocolate-lovers. The tart sides were delicious, and similar in texture to an egg tart. The inside was gooey and almost like chocolate sauce with a rich buttery base. The inside sauce really reminded me of a Chinese bun we love in Singapore, the liu sha bao or salted egg yolk custard bun. All in all, I highly recommend the chocolate tart for a small but punchy pop of decadence, and it goes perfect to complement with a cup of coffee. Other than that, the peppermint latte was wonderfully decorated according to my peppermint-loving friend (although another said it was definitely on the sweet side). Meanwhile, although my plain latte did not have the best latte art, staff proactively offered to add a variety of powdered toppings (cinnamon, cocoa and nutmeg) that put a smile to my face. All in all, it's a great place to chill and relax if you're not too fussy about everything being perfectly spic and span. As I said to my friends, sipping my coffee with my chocolate butter tart, "this is the life!"

I've come to Mexico twice now and it delivered both times…read more I don't have any photos of the first time, but my partner and I shared five of the six taco options, and by far my favourite were the pork belly and the Chicken Tinga. The second time I came with some coworkers and I had one of the margaritas. It had pineapple juice in it, but I can't remember what it was called... It was just recommended by the server and she was definitely on the nose with that one. Taquitos are good; I liked the beef over the chicken. And I had the salmon plate when I came back I don't know if I would get it again, it was just OK and I don't know if it was worth the price. Overall a very fun place to eat, top-tier for Sarnia. Good vibes, good drinks, good food, great service! Just a little more on the expensive side for someone on a student budget

I'm not sure which aspect of this experience was worse--the food, the drinks, or the service…read more We arrived at about 7:30pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was nearly empty, though it didn't close for a few more hours. We seated ourselves and waited. And waited. After about 15 minutes, a server shows up and gives us menus. We looked over the drink and dinner menus and made our selections--but they weren't going to be taken for nearly 30 minutes. We placed our drink orders (classic margarita and the La Paloma). After 15 more minutes, our drinks arrived. The drinks were mediocre--at best. The classic margarita was essentially a glass of lime juice with half a shot of tequila; the Paloma was the same, but with grapefruit juice. $12 CDN each. The next time we saw our server was another 15 minutes later when our chips and guacamole arrived. The chips were nice and salty; the guacamole portion was extraordinarily small (about an ice cream scoop size) for $10 CDN. With the arrival of the guacamole, we were finally able to place our meal order. They were out of chicken, so we settled on two crispy pork belly tacos, one carne asada taco, and a pescado taco. $6 CDN each. A full thirty minutes later, our food had not yet arrived. Our drinks were empty (there was only one other party in the restaurant at this time). I walked to the bar with my empty glasses to place two more drink orders: the passion cocktail (tequila, banana, cranberry, and orange were supposed to be the primary flavors) and the Envy (a margarita with blue curaçao). At this point of the evening, it's now nearly 9:15PM. We've been in the restaurant for over an hour. Our second order of drinks and 4 tacos finally arrive. Gross is all I can say. - All tacos shared the same stale-tasting, rusty cabbage. It's like the half-off prepackaged slaw mix you buy at the grocery store tossed with a light vinaigrette. - The fish tasted... fishy. Fishy tasting fish is never a good sign. I probably should have looked at the crowd and determined that there wasn't enough turnover to order the fish. Two bites and I tap out on the fish taco. - The carne asada was not that. Instead of being the traditionally marinated and grilled strips of steak that I'm used to at other restaurants, it was essentially stringy, water-logged pot roast. - The pork belly tacos were neither crispy nor flavorful. They tested more like baked pork chop with a hint of bacon. They were dressed with the same slaw mixture as the other tacos. After tasting the Passion cocktail, we asked the waitress if there had been an error. Banana has an unmistakeable taste; the lack of it is quite noticeable. Cranberry juice is red. The fact that this drink was neither reddish-pink or had even the faintest hint of banana told us otherwise. It was the same drink as "the classic." The Envy was at least blue. It was undrinkable, but the color was at least correct. After nearly 2 hours of waiting and shit service, we paid and left nearly all our food uneaten. We walked around the corner to Bad Dog and had a second dinner.

Nice signage to explain menu choices. You order at ice cream counter and then move to coffee counter where you can order drinks or just pay. Indoor and outdoor seating. Seems connected to a church. Bathrooms beautiful and many places to sit from high tops to couches to tables inside to picnic tables outside. They are known for their life cream tacos so we tried 2 which were ig enough to split. We ordered the Dirt Road and Coffee Toffee Crunch. Apparently they are $7 on taco Tuesdays ;). Super delicious and high quality ice cream. We also ordered a pour over with cream. They forgot the cream but with ice cream I decided I didn't need it. Pour overs take a bit but then even longer bc they were so busy. So the timing of it with ice cream was off and I wish I hadn't ordered it. No way to get seating and then be called back so I just stood there while my family dug into tacos. Glad they saved some for me! Highly recommend and definitely would go back.
