    sipping chocolate

If you like sipping chocolate, this might be the best in Chicago. It comes thick, creamy and with a housemade marshmallow that makes it nice and smooth. It's just a small location, and they make every cup to order. Really cozy for a morning with a friend, or a pick me up in the afternoon. Give it a try, and grab a chocolate on the way out!

Really cute spot in Logan Square area. It has about 16 seats total in the cafe with tables that seat 2-4 and couches as well. The drinking chocolate costs $7 for 8 oz which is a bit pricey, but it's really decadent and full of flavor. Plus it comes with one of their home made marshmallows. I got the bitter sweet with a salted caramel marshmellow. The chocolate flight is definitely worth it, you get 3 hot chocolates to try for $13. They also sell truffles and drinking mixes of their hot chocolate. I'll definitely be back if it's in the middle of winter and I'm craving a warm, chocolate drink. The staff are really friendly and nice. There was just one person working when I went in on a Wednesday afternoon. They have a restroom in the back that's open to customers.

We came here in a whim for some hot chocolate. This place is cozy inside with some seating but it was pretty crowded when we stopped inside. We decided to order a hot chocolate flight and picked the peppermint, Mexican chocolate, and super dark. While waiting for our order, we were able to snag a table. Every hot chocolate we tried was decent but my personal favorite was the peppermint. I would definitely stop by again just for that. This place was lively with lots of people stopping in while we were there. Definitely a fun place to check out during the holiday season!

Cute spot to meet a friend for a cold sandwich or a decadent hot chocolate. Not many seats, but super cozy and lots of gift options available to take with. Quick and friendly service, plus you can see the magic being made in the open kitchen just behind the counter. But back to the hot chocolate. It's so incredibly decadent! We opted to split a cup, which they absolutely do and even let you both pick out a marshmallow, and it was plenty! So good.

I was so excited to visit this place while in Chicago. My friend and I went on a cold January night for hot chocolate. We had the flight of hot chocolate and I have to say the dark chocolate and peanut butter were my favorites. The regular hot chocolate was a bit too sweet for me, but still tasty. All of them were so rich I don't think I could finish a small. I will come back when in Chicago.

Lordy Lordy Lordy. Katherine Anne!.... You did something right here. This place is amazing for the chocolate lovers, tea connoisseurs and marshmallows fanatics. I came in on a bright early Saturday morning and the server and barista was fabulous. I had a million questions and she answered them all with a huge smile on her face. I really enjoyed the passion fruit ginger truffle and there was a unique combination of flavors with the goat cheese walnut dark chocolate ganache. Worth the indulge and try. The hot chocolate flight is definitely for folks who can't decide, want to try something new or want to tip toe into the world of hot chocolate. I tried the semisweet, Mexican and hazelnut. Hands down Hazelnut is the best! Top tier stuff. All the chocolates are made in hot and are excellent quality. No fake stuff here. I recommend stopping in. You won't regret it.

Got the ganache mocha and ooooh so yummy! Nice bittersweet chocolate flavor and the service was friendly and helpful. Cozy interior and lots of unique homemade chocolates, caramels, and marshmallows

What a delightful experience. The location on Irving Park is quaint, charming and cozy. I purchased some delicious gourmet marshmallows and cups of drinking hot chocolate which was rich, creamy and heavenly. The Mexican chocolate with homemade cinnamon sugar marshmallow was something people dream of. Soooo good. Lunch selections looked amazing. I can't wait to go back.

Such a cute place. The girl at the counter was so nice and friendly. They have many chocolate flavors to choose from for your custom hot chocolate. They even have vegan hot chocolate. If you don't like milk, they will substitute with Almond, coconut, and other kinds of milks. There hot chocolate flavors to select from are s'mores, classic, hazelnut, etc. They also have a few selections of salads and sandwiches, and an assortment of small chocolates and truffles. This is not your typical served cup of hot chocolate, oh no, their hot chocolate is actually the real thing! The actual chocolate. There is no cheap chocolate powdered stuff here. It's literally chocolate melted into a beautiful smooth tasty authentic cup of true hot chocolate with marshmallows if you want. It's so gooodddd! Im going back and I'm going to try the chocolate flight. You get to taste three different hot chocolates. If you are in the area this is a must stop for a never before experience of a true cup of chocolate. You will not be disappointed. This place is a chocoholic dream!

This is the best hot chocolate in the city. I frequently look for hot CHOCOLATE. Not like milk with chocolate but chocolate. And this is it. This is THICK and luscious. It's SO GOOD and frankly unmatched. They have many flavors and if you can't choose get the flight! I LOVE dark chocolate and feel like the semisweet is perfectly dark without being too dark. In addition, they make their own marshmallows... which come with their hot chocolate! They also come in many different flavors, I chose peppermint. I did size it wrong. The 13 Oz is too big for any one person... maybe if you're sharing. Stick with 7 oz. I am in chocolate heaven right now typing this but will be back. The staff is lovely, the place is well staffed so you don't wait to long even if the small store is busy :).

Drinking Chocolate! It's like hot chocolate but way more creamy & rich. I got the flight of 3 different drinking chocolates: Koval, Mexican, and Gingerbread. Honestly, they were all delicious. My husband got a 7oz of the Koval, and he didn't finish his because he found the drinking chocolate too rich. I drank all of mine, though. The cafe itself was very cute. There were a few tables and one couch area. At 3pm on a Friday, there were multiple available tables, but I can't speak to the morning or weekend availability. Great way to warm up in the city!

Wowwww! This chocolate specialty is amazing! There are variety of the flavors and assortments. I had the hot chocolate which is sooo good! And, the cookie one with some kind of spice is also great! It's heaven for chocolate lover!

Their coffees come with a lot of options, some with very unique flavor combinations. I tried the rosemary caramel iced latte and I loved it! Which I was surprised by because I'm not usually a rosemary fan. They have a great variety of homemade marshmallows which I will also show you in the pictures, I can't resist a good marshmallow! So I had to try the brown butter marshmallows to bring home with me and oh my goodness! But the real winner for me was Homemade caramels! I would go back just for those! Especially the bacon one ! If you go there and try absolutely nothing else , get yourself a couple of those. you can thank me later ! The staff is super friendly and helpful! I also love that you can see back into the Candy Kitchen! So you know that all the Truffles and caramels and everything is prepared in-house and are super fresh and extra delicious! If you're ever near one of their many locations I encourage you to stop in! The coffee price point is actually very affordable, the truffle and marshmallow prices are truthfully probably comparable with like Godiva or Fannie May but they are made with much higher quality ingredients. Not someplace I would visit everyday, but definitely great for a special occasion! This would be a great business to visit for some sweet holiday treats! They have multiple shops!
