Love pretty cool ice cream and their seasonal flavors! Their employees are always so kind and helpful with picking out which flavor to get. Had to try their CTA flavors. Both delish- perfect to enjoy in the cute shop or enjoy on the go!

Delicious ice cream and frozen treat options made in house. I got the ice cream sandwich - the cookie was a little too crumbly for my liking but still tasty. I love the retro vibe they have going on with the old school lunch trays. Would definitely go again.

The ice cream was good, but I don't see how it's worth the steep $7 price tag when there are grocery store popsicles that are just as good if not better. I got the Ricky's Coffee Pretzel Toffee.

The unique flavors is what pulls you into this colorful place. I tried two flavors - mango lassi and s'mores. I liked both and would buy again. The mango lassi didn't taste artificial and was creamy. The s'mores didn't have an overpowering marshmallow taste and was a good level of sweetness. It's a pricier dessert, with bars varying $4-6 each. Seating isn't the best. There's 4 small tables with a bench on one side and a small stool on the other. During my visit, only two tables had a small stool. There is open space but it's more for casual seating and probably not the most comfortable. They have two clean bathrooms and both have a changing table. One even had a separate trash can for diapers. They have a window into the kitchen where you can see staff members making ice cream. They have a wall with magnets that you can spell out messages.

I've passed by Pretty Cool Ice Cream on many occasions so I was curious to see how it was. The vibe of the interior is pretty chill. It's very cute, friendly and spacious. For my first sample of the place I wanted something quick so I had the Chocolate Pretzel Toffee pop. I asked how much it was. It was $7, which is expensive, but I still wanted to try it. It was also a fairly hot day too. I paid and walked to the Fullerton bus stop. I opened the pop while waiting for my bus and you know what, it was really delicious! The flavor was very layered and had great texture. While I wouldn't want to spend too much money too often, I want to see what else I can try. I hope whatever I choose next is as good as that Chocolate Pretzel Toffee pop. Definitely worth trying.

It's cute, it's pretty, it's local, it's unique. it's instagramable. You're not here for chocolate, vanilla or strawberry besides they don't have those. What they do have are ice cream bars of wonderful flavors you can only dream of - like cotton candy, passion fruit or what I had horchata caramel crunch. The space invites you to hang around and just enjoy your ice cream in this dream world(see pics)

There's a couple things about Pretty Cool Ice Cream that are, if you'll pardon the pun, pretty cool. First, puns, love 'em! Second, the concept that as opposed to getting your ice cream in a bowl or in a cone, you get them on a stick... and they're made in-house as opposed to some factory off-site. They have a pretty wide selection with everything from your simple and basic vanilla and to something as adventurous as a hot wing flavor. Surprisingly, I went for something in between, that being the Ricky's Coffee Pretzel Toffee. In terms of flavor, this ice cream pop delivered. The pretzels, toffee, and coffee flavors and textures were not in hiding. To be fair, it wasn't the best ice cream [pop] I'd ever had, but pretty neat in an ice cream shop/ I cannot understate the points I am awarding for creativity. Regrettably, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. There were a couple things I wasn't super thrilled about. First, their prices seem a little bit high. The ice cream pops aren't big, they cost 6.25 plus tax. Secondly, while they do have an okay vibe inside, the seating is not conducive to spending a couple of minutes and hanging out. A couple tables and then the kind of seating that reminds me of my elementary school gymnasium.

All the way home in PA and I am still dreaming of this ice cream. We were suggested to stop here and I'm so happy we did! My husband got the Keylime ice cream bar and I got the grasshopper ice cream bar! I think I finished mine in three bites. It was so delicious! I wanted to order one to go, but I knew it would be too much! I'm sad. We discovered this on our last day in town and couldn't enjoy when every single day. They also can bring ice cream to an event or party and what an amazing party would be to have an ice cream bar!

We instantly fell in love with this place. After hearing about it for so long, we worried it might be overhyped--but it absolutely lived up to the praise. Even better, you can find these bars at other stores too! Peanut butter potato chip is glorious

I absolutely love this popsicle spot. They have two locations and the staff are always friendly. They have pony pops which are minis for kids. The strawberry and lemonade have been a huge hit in our household. We love that the regular ice creams are often collaborations with local chicago restaurants and they promote local artists who create the wrapper art. Our absolute favorite flavors are the toffee coffee chocolate, orange creamsicle and the chicago brownie. I love the horchata and the grasshopper (mint chocolate) but I have to be in the mood and the cinnamon and mint flavors are a little more stronger. The mango lassi is decent - the taste is very light and doesn't have a shell.

Please open more stores. So good and so fun! Delicious and brilliant! I spend longer time trying to figure out which one want and ended up with 6. It's all so good!!!

Milk Bar Puppy Chow. WIAF?! Literally puppy chow but cold and ice cream!! INCREDIBLE. It was definitely the best damn ice cream bar I've had in a very long time. Yes, for $6+ a pop(sicle), it's not cheap, but it's damn good and well worth it in my opinion. We also bought Ricky's Coffee Pretzel Toffee which was like a sweet cold brew with toffee and pretzel bits! Would definitely recommend both of these bars.

I guess this place can be pretty cool. Very Instagramable. I had imagined the bars to be dipped and sprinkled before my very eyes but everything was prepackaged. It was not packed Friday evening. I got the strawberry shortcake. A bit on the extra sweeter side for my taste. Probably be cool to have these at your local supermarket.

The exterior neon signs are all from 1954 and a lot of the interior decor is original from when they first opened, including all the Tiffany lamps. If you prefer to eat in, they will call your name while you wait outside. Typically the wait for a table isn't too long since it's just ice cream. There are a wide array of sundaes to choose from; I got the Margie's famous raspberry hot fudge sundae, which was so yummy; the fudge came in a little turreen on the side and the sundae itself was served in their signature clamshell dish. My husband got a chocolate chip cookie sundae, served in a big glass bowl. There are also shakes, malts, phosphates and other treats to choose from on their menu, as well as a case of homemade candies. The place isn't big and is rather crowded so we got an "eat and get out" vibe from the staff, which made me feel rushed (and who wants to hurry through ice cream?) Overall, though, Margie's has clearly been a Chicago favorite for a long time for a reason. Check them out.

It was pricey but enough for 2 people to share. Metered parking on a weekend evening was easy. My only complaint is that it had a strange, unpleasant smell inside (we were there in the evening during the weekend of April 25th). Also, when I came a few years ago, it had a really cozy, welcoming vibe packed with comfy couches. Now, it just looks like basic tables and plastic chairs, lacking comfort, character, and charm. I'm hoping to return to try the sweet potato latte and the other shaved ices, but I hope they do something about the smell and make the space feel more cozy and inviting.

I found it interesting that the hot fudge was served on the side, but it's actually pretty smart because you get control how much (or how little) sauce you get. The ice cream is the highlight. It's creamy and rich, and it's got a really nice flavor, too. The hot fudge was less impressive, but that might be because I had already eaten a Ghirardelli sundae earlier in the day and their hot fudge just can't be beat.
