Was so excited to try the restaurant but was very disappointed. The show that my kids were looking forward to was later on and my waitress said no show today , I was very upset why not ? Apparently it starts later and they have false advertisement for their show timing . Our reservations were at 6 pm and apparently show is for later but that was not clarified to us. Also in 35 years in Us never been charged for lemon for the water . This place charges lol it's silly ! For sure it won't be my choice of restaurant next time and bread charge lol even Beverly Hills restaurant they don't charge that much . Also I asked for interesting and presentable drink that can have smoke and have excitement and she brought us plain drink . After that I see in some other peoples post , Tigran Asateryan, post because he is somebody popular, had the drink that I asked for . I guess I wasn't as popular to get that service? We reserved this place for my birthday, and was bummed when they seated us in the corner facing the street. The place is beautiful, but nothing out of this world. ( Eden on brand is much better looking). The service was wonderful, and the employees were all very welcoming . The waiter did a great job, and was attentive. The food!!! The food was 2/5. We ordered quite a bit of things , and I can say the best thing on that menu was the octopus. The starters weren't half bad either, The tomahawk was a skinny piece which was not cooked to our liking, the prawns were mushy and tasted awful. ( didn't even eat it), the veggies were just plain boring veggies, and the lobster mashed potatoes was nothing you have ever had ( not in a good way). There was a liquid in the center of the mashed potato like a lobster flavor oil or something... lord it was awful. I was very disappointed. I really wanted to like this place. But, among all the negatives, this place is overpriced . With this bill we could have had steak 48 in Beverly Hills with 10/10 quality food. Definitely will not recommend this place, nor will I go there myself. I'm so glad we didn't end up doing my husbands birthday there... there was going to be a lot of disappointed people. If you want the experience go during 8-10 during weekends to experience live music and dance. I think for a non Armenian person talking to some servers might be challenging due to language barrier. AVOID!!!! It tries to be something it's not. Let's start with the service. Now apparently the valet isn't part of their restaurant (Serine, the manager said that was not our "problem") maybe valet is the building overall im not sure, but regardless. In the heavy rain, one worker opened my door, and I saw the four other workers under cover, sitting on their phones, staring at us. Instead of getting up and grabbing the umbrellas so my fiance and her sister wouldn't get wet, I had to get up, grab the umbrellas, and get the girls out of the car. We get in and get seated. The drink I ordered was old-fashioned. It was okay, to be honest. I personally had the beef cheeks, which was okay. My fiancé said salmon isn't worth the price. Overall, the food is not crazy good for the price, personally. The next thing that I found disgusting was the bathroom. Now it was clean; however, inside the stall, I did not see toilet seat covers! For dessert, someone ordered the brownie with gelato. In my opinion, it wasn't a brownie, lol. It was a thick fudge bar. A lady at the table struggled to cut it, lol. Finally, the nail on the coffin made me want to leave this review because, usually, if I don't like a place, I just don't go back. With an aggressive, disrespectful, and rude tone, she tells the host of our table to leave because the table is reserved for another group for the time block. Now, I understand that you need us to leave after our timeslot, but there is a proper way to do it. You are a restaurant providing a service. Don't embarrass the host by telling the host to have her and the party leave in such a manner. You can kindly say I am sorry we have this table for someone else at this time, or thank you for dining with us, or both, or just NICER TONE AND WORDS. So impressed with this restaurant! It's family friendly, lots of great dancing, upbeat music and someone singing live as well! Service was great, our waiter and multiple other servers constantly asked how we were doing and if there was anything else they could get us. I was recommended by my friend to visit Katsin Restaurant and I was not disappointed. Once I stepped foot in the entrance the hostess were so accommodating and were very lively people. We got sat down at a wonderful table and the ambiance of the place was so beautiful. Our server was very attentive and made sure we got the best service. The food was indescribable and delectable. I can't begin to describe the flavors of each dish. We ordered Yellow Tale Sashimi, Sea bass, Mini Kebobs and many other dishes. Now for the main part, the show. I was in for a surprise. I was amazed by the dancers and how well coordinated they are. I also loved how they made the guests in the restaurant feel like we are dancing with them. It put such a big smile on my face by how fascinating the dancing was. And also the singing. The lady who had such an amazing heart felt voice Also I'd like to add the cleanliness of the place, they stay on top of making sure the restaurant and especially the bathroom is very clean and hygienic. RUN FROM THIS PLACE! The hype is not worth it. These people steal your money. They charge for EVERYTHING! I wish I trusted these reviews and listened to them and didn't try this place out. This place is a JOKE. They claim their high class and fancy, with a ripped up dirty menu. Interesting. They said we will bring you bread and later found out they charged me $10 for bread, $1.50 for butter, and $5 for truffle butter! That's insane. The waitress should be obligated to tell their customers they are being charged for bread and butter. You charging $1.50 isn't classy. It's cheap. I ordered the ribeye. The waiter said would you like sauces (again didn't say it's an extra charge) I said alright I'll just try all 3. I got the bill, ribeye $69 that's fine! However on the bottom, 3 charges for sauce! peppercorn, blue cheese, bbq $6 EACH. YES EACH!! Per ribeye is $18 of just small sauce. That's not classy or righteous. Rest of the bill was correct, no complaints. The waiter was Daria, every time the dancers were dancing she came in and pulled plates. And stood in front of our table clapping which is annoying, you need to allow your customers to enjoy the experience, you blocking the show is not right. She would pull the plates too fast, we told her bring apps then later dinner and she was in a rush. She was pulling plates off the table way too much it was excessive. There was also a host in the front who was blonde, her attitude was HORRIBLE. You're the FIRST person the people see when you walk in and she had a RBF. :) ALSO the people in the front the men, they were like hawks staring at you. That doesn't make you feel welcome what so ever! Aside from all this the food was good. But based on the experience I won't be returning. And I don't recommend you go and waste your money either :) Stop overcharging people. You're better off charging more for the food and not charging small little charges. Looks cheap. I even saw someone got charged for lemon in their water. That's not very high class it's absolutely RIDICULOUS. I know for a fact most people don't really look at the bill. You trust the place and the workers and just pay and leave. Look at the extra charges cuz they are there! My bill only got $52 of extra charges of little stuff I wasn't told would be extra.
