after a year as a patient. the doctor suddently discovers you need new crowns to replace old crowns.they don't look right or metal crowns are worn out or they don't stay on when he tries to recement them back on.then, he says he will sell you new crowns that will work perfectly. but mine never have. if you want a dentist who will charge you a lot of $$$ for teeth which will not fit right or will break in the near future, then call dr. reese turner for an appointment. otherwise, find another dentist. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is for front office staff not dentist.....I prearranged for my mother in law to have a root canal, and crown. Her son took the day off from work to be available for her. Made appt 2 weeks ahead for a certain day and she took Triazolam (relaxer) an hour before her appt checked in and paid $150 for a deductible. A few minutes later..don't know front office woman's name but she said she didn't know she needed preauthorization for both procedures before dental work could be done. She would have to call back with authorization before another appointment is made.....I was livid at this point.....this is total incompetence from this office. Also have noticed they have private conversations and jokes among themselves in present and past office visits. The only point of me taking off work was to get a cleaning. So I lost money by not working and not even getting my teeth cleaned. Terrible customer service and attitude from the exam tech. I love all the hygienists, I love the front office staff, everyone is so wonderful and nice... and authentic! There is no BS here. I was told I had 8 cavities by another dentist and it would be over $1000 to fix them. I came here for a second opinion. Dr Turner showed me I did not even have ONE cavity - they were trying to scam me! I did have another issue which he quickly took care of. I can always get in quickly, and even without insurance, I can always afford to come here. I cannot say enough about how much I love coming here. I had a great experience with Dr. Turner during my ROOT CANAL, of all things. He and his dental assistant made sure the experience was nearly pain free and very calm. He has soft hands when working on your mouth and is an all around nice guy. I really can't believe how almost painless and easy the procedure was thanks to the experience of the doctor and staff. Dental work is never inexpensive, but I found Katsur Dental to be affordable for the procedure and they were willing to work with me. Other than that, I do recommend this dentist. read more

This location is not near me by any means, but I'm completely content with driving out of my way to have Dr. Reese Turner be my dentist. He is very professional, does not push to have things done I am not comfortable doing, keeps me informed of everything I need done and the process in order to do those, and his chair side manner is top notch. We went through 3 crowns until we were both satisfied with how it fit in my mouth and I was only charged for one. I feel confident I'm in educated, caring hands that's not out to rip me off. My husband came here for his tooth that was causing him some pain. Our last dentist really gave us the run around and my husband was a little put off about seeing another dentist. So this dentist really had his hands full with him. My husband said he was very nice and has good humor. He is very friendly with his staff and treats them with respect and kindness as if they are his family. My husband ended up needing a root canal and was scheduled the following week. The dentist gave him a script for pain meds, antibiotics, and an anxity med to call him down before the procedure. This was very nice of him. During the root canal the doctor acknowledged that my husband is a red head and per past studies tend to need more anesthesia then other people. This was very nice because he does have a low pain tolerance. After he got into my husbands mouth and started to work he realized more needed to be down. He did not charge up for the little extra work which I was felt was very generous of him. To this dentist it was more about care then pinching us for all our money. Just for the record had we been asked to pay we would have but that is not what this was about. He does not push extra services on you that you do not need. If you come in for a root canal you will get a root canal not pressured to get a platinum grill. read more

I avoid dentists and have a sorry set of teeth to prove it. Dr. Turner and his staff are positive, friendly and professional. Dr. Turner gives his honest opinion without pressure or up-selling. He and the staff are extremely kind and there is no suggestions of how a person (me) should have sought better dental care in younger years. They will even let you peek around the office, escorted of course, if you're curious. I actually saw my crown being "printed" in the lab. I have been neglecting my dental care because I am so terrified of dentists, I was forced to see one due to chronic pain. I could not be any happier with Dr. Turner's work and his staff, everyone was very pleasant, accommodating and understanding of my phobia. New to Peoria and needed a dentist. The insurance company gave us this name and number. Called and made an appointment. I should have known then when I had given the lady all the insurance information and she had to call back that something was off. Went in and the office has no appeal but the receptionist (blond hair, no makeup,unsmiling, resting bitch face) was the rudest person I have met in a long time. The front office is the first person a person sees and that person sets the tone of the appointment, she needs to learn a few in customer service and friendliness. I wanted to walk out and take the girls with me but we followed it through. Teenage daughters get called back and it took one daughter 1 hour 48 minutes for a cleaning. She just walks back out and I am asking her whats going on, does she have cavities, what took so long, everything ok and so forth, she said it was good and they didn't tell her anything. The other daughter a lady walked out and had me sign paperwork, standing in a hall on my knee?! The girls both need their wisdom teeth out the and dental office gave bad referrals. I asked the girls, well what did you think and their opinion was 25/75 on overall. The dentist was good/funny but the rest of the staff was rude and moody. This would be a successful office if their staff was classier and friendlier. What made it so unpleasant, I waited to ask to use the bathroom or where the bathroom was and the front office girl had the phone on her shoulder, listening to hold music and had me standing there waiting for 5 minutes. I waited, then when she was clearly finished I asked for a bathroom she was so rude that my daughter was shocked. I found it funny and of course chuckled but what are you going to say or do?! Last but not least, who wants different dentist for their kids or family? My son has an appointment and the girl (Faith) (must be same girl) was just as rude on the phone. To the point I had to tell her to stop and listen, he has a different insurance so it is different information. She clearly could care less. I was also in the middle of asking her to send a new referral over to the oral surgery but she hung up. I called back for over an hour but no one answered. I called the Goodyear office and Ashley answered and it was seriously night and day. Ashley was so helpful and listened and assisted the correct way. So the 1 star goes to Ashley at the Goodyear office! Thank you! I can't give the dentist a star, he didn't care to meet the parent or have his staff debrief the parent on each daughters appointment. read more

I have been going to Katsur Dental for the past 10 years ever since I moved here from Massachusetts. All of my visits have been very positive. My hygienist is very professional and does a great job with my cleanings and explaining any issues to me. Recently I have had to have a crown replaced and Dr. Turner took care of it with minimum discomfort. My sister, a snowbird, has been going there for her cleanings and xrays for the past couple of years and my adult daughter also went for her cleanings when she stayed with me for 2 years, both at a much reduced cost than they would have paid back East. My grandson goes to Katsur for orthodontics and cleanings. I would highly recommend Katsur Dental! read more

Fantastic service. I am terrified of the dentist and my last experience was awful. So i ended up with some tooth pain and called Katsur dental. They were so nice and was able to get me in. I ended up being late and they said to still come in. I was taken back and felt very comfortable. The dr came in took a look and was very upfront and honest about what was going on. The man child Turner had to simply replace a cracked filling. We talked and I erroneously mentioned my high pain threshold. He told me I had a cavity to fill; later denied that when I told him X rays not show a cavity. He also cut me, in a way my good dentist in Litchfield Park cannot guess as to how he could have. With the pain and bleeding of my first visit, I immediately returned to my good dentist. Teach me for trying to visit a dentist in town. This was 12/07/16, only in the last few months has food ceased to catch in the area he afflicted. All of this to replace a filling, imagine if I needed five fillings; I would have left his office unable to talk for weeks and eat for months! I cannot say that R T and his staff were not nice, friendly, and polite but he is incompetent at best IF the cut he made in my gum was unintentional. I believe it was intentional and in that case he did a great job; it was quite painful and bled for a full month. Others do not believe that a dentist would intentionally injure a patient, I do, his little boy mind heard high pain threshold so he intentionally cut me to test it. I bled for a month and almost missed a surgery because I was prescribed antibiotics. This guy was also singing aloud with the radio, the song's lyrics about making love to a woman; this in an office filled with young women? I could not believe how unprofessional he was that day. I also reported him to my insurance company. I think highly of Katsur Dental, but NOT this office. read more

31 YEARS AGO...my daughter was in a bad life altering accident. Her teeth were messed up, not only from the accident but from tubes and other things she endured to stay alive. We've been through a lot of dentists...fixing one tooth at a time, but they never quite looked the same. When they fixed one, then the other next to it, they got matched up incorrectly, although I think they did the best they could at the time. Tammy could only endure a little work at a time back then. Rolling forward 30 years, we were looking for a dentist in our new area when a back crown fell off, and found Dr. Reese Turner. Tammy and Dr. Turner clicked right off the get go. He did not know us or if we'd even come back, but he replaced the crown...no charge. We did come back. Just recently, another front crown broke off. Instead of matching it up to the other inferior looking crown, after a discussion, a decision was made to replace both front crowns and FINALLY...line them up with her other teeth and matching the color correctly. Tammy always smiles anyway, but now it's even more beautiful!!! Dr. Turner has a good personality and great sense of humor...which we both enjoy. Went here as a new patient and was told I needed a crown and possible root canal as well as a few fillings. Although he did not even introduce himself, the dentist seemed legitimate enough so I made a follow up appointment. I never needed a crown prior so I was doing research and saw that crowns are typically only needed if a tooth is cracked which, mine was not. Hesitant, I still went in to the appointment... I asked the assistant that brought me to the back why I needed a crown once again and she said she was not sure since the girl who filled out my chart the first time did not finish them. The dentist then came in and told me he does not recommend I get the crown now and said it could crack in the future, which is why he recommended it to begin with and tried to cover it as "I am the one getting paid and telling you to wait." I am not sure what happened with the miscommunication but the first visit I was told I had a lot of decay in that tooth to going to the next visit and them saying there is no cavity. I believe if you are not careful with this dentist he will perform unnecessary procedures on you for money. He got caught in a lie and wasn't expecting me to question him so when I did, he made up the "it might" story. Also, if anyone is wondering I just went to a new dentist and had no cavities and no work was needed. Watch out for this one, honestly recommend not even wasting your time. read more
