Dr. Kattih I think tries. He is moody. It can take time to build a relationship with him where he understands your pain. I would say he is maybe halfway there with me. I have several conditions causing me pain very legit problems per the SSA. He provides me an oral film that I take day and night. I am in terrible pain without it. He provides some meds for breakthrough pain that help. I would say I am mostly controlled with him but there is always pain! read more

Got an injection that was a huge quality of life increase for me. I was hesitant at first but glad I did it. I can now get up/walk/go from stagnant to mobile without my back needing to "warm up" the muscle or going out altogether. I have had pretty awful chronic pain since my scoliosis surgery, the recovery was really rough and complicated. I'm really happy with the medications i'm on, as most other doctors had me on stuff that made me feel like a zombie. With my current routine, I can function and live life with much less pain. People need to realize that long-term pain management isn't just meds forever. You have to put in work, you have to go out on a limb and try something new to alleviate pain. If you go to any doctor expecting painkillers for life with no alternative attempts to help your pain, you'll be sorely disappointed. read more

I recently went to this doctor. It was about 40 miles away from my house so that was inconvenience. My experience wasn't a pleasant one. It seemed as if I was being told what my pain feels like and also this doctor does not prescribe any liquid medication which is important for people who have certain issues with pills so that was my experience. I think if he would've read my file before I got in, there would've been a better experience. read more

Dr Kattih saves lives. I have been a patient for six years after a near fatal car accident and would have been in constant, chronic pain this entire time if it weren't for Dr Kattih's pain management regimen. His first concern, is of course, your pain, but he works with you and other doctors (surgeons, orthopedists, physical therapists) to get you out of there. So this guy is not going to coddle you or give you meds he feels are unnecessary. However he cares very much which was evidenced by how infuriated he was at insurance rejecting my procedure request. There can be a wait even if you're early but that doesn't happen often and it's because he was as concerned for the last patient as he is going to be for you and doesn't rush or cut off his appointments. I'd just recommend you not schedule anything immediately after so you're not distressed if you get in one of these situations. Some days the desk person is a bit uptight and comes off as downright rude but if you talk to her she isn't really impolite just trying to keep a tight schedule that requires strict compliance to work. I waited six weeks to get back in here rather than go elsewhere because I knew he'd be able to help me better than anyone else. read more

I have to give this doctor 1 star and he doesn't even deserve that. On March 5, 2021 I had a appointment with Katti. BEWARE‼‼‼‼ this dr is the worst of the worst. I am a chronic pain patient and I have all the documentation to prove it. He refuses to get my medical records from my primary and my orthopedic which I have been with both of these doctors since 2005. I have had many surgeries and he told me I shouldn't be in pain because I had a second back surgery in September 11th and on the 15th it's a 2 part surgery and pending a total hip replacement which he said I wouldn't get for about 3 years because hospitals are not doing elective surgeries ahhh I'm sorry it's not a elective surgery that is a major surgery it's not like I want a boob job done THAT is a elective surgery. How does he know what I am feeling or how much pain I have, he does not walk in my shoes and to tell you the truth he wouldn't be able to handle everything I have gone through. I have all kinds or metal and screws and cages through out my body. If he doesn't like to prescribe pain medication he picked the wrong kind of profession. He wants to take me off pain medication because he feels I do not have pain. I had a MRI and CT done recently my nuero surgeon told me neither test look good. I told him Katti wants to take me off pain medication and he said no that I have alot problems going on and for me to have katti call him, I told him to call the surgeon and he refused and said there is nothing wrong with either test. I had 3 drs read the reports and I was told the something how do 3 different drs tell me the samething and Katti says there is nothing wrong REALLY??? I don't know what his problem is with me other than he is probably racist. He has a very bad bad attitude he is only there to collect from your insurance he doesn't care about his patients. He has no compassion for his patients. I have seen patients come out of there crying and I have heard patients cussing him out. Does he think he is the only pain management? He wanted to give me a injection of cortisone in my back and I told him I got one about a week and a half ago and he got real angry with me and said if I was going to be getting injections from my other dr that he was NOT going to give me my pain medication that is black mail to me. I do not get pain medication from no one else except Katti. I showed him my bottle of medication to show him I am not abusing or selling my medication. My orthopedic that is going to do my hip doesn't have a problem with me getting injections from my other orthopedic so why should Katti. It doesn't say anywhere I have to only get my injections from Katti. After all this he tells me I am upset because I want a relationship with him WHO SAYS THIS???? Katti does. And I walked out of the room and his nurse came to where I was talking to someone and I was so upset I started crying , I told her I wasn't going to be making a appointment anymore cause I was done with Katti already. I told her who tells their patients that about wanting a relationship with him and she said I misunderstood him REALLY how do you misunderstand that comment? Dr. Kattih is straight to the point and professional. He has helped me with my pain the best that anybody can. I have no complaints about him. Thank you kindly for trying to help me. I hope my next pain management Dr. is as good as you. :/ The only complaint I have is about his female secretary and the manager Veronica. Many errors have occurred but no one would take responsibility for them. So what if my insurance needs another special Authorization, but is it my job to follow up on my own Auth?? I have had more than one procedure and they act like this was the first time I've been through this. I decided to speak up and complain and instead the manager Veronica screamed at me and also threatened me by saying not to mess with her and that it was going to get very ugly. Wow! I really thought the next thing out of her mouth was going to say she was going to kick my butt! I stayed with my mouth opened for a sec! I was in shock! Im complaining about an employee thats rude and not doing her job properly. But She was already being biased and speaking over me. Who wouldn't try to raise their voice if someone is not letting them speak? I hate complaining, this manager is the prime example of the spit in your food. I had been crying for a couple days after this occurred. How can you put somebody through something so horrible, who suffers from daily pain, who hasn't said a word about the many mistakes until now and you have the audacity to scream the way you did? Veronica you should be ashamed to call yourself a manager. Your job is to look out for your Doctor, the patients, employees etc.. Your job is to make sure that things are done correctly in the office. Not to threaten a patient just because she spoke up against your rude friend/ secretary. Pleasure and business are two different things and I understand that people get along great, but who's paying you?? Your secretary?? I was so upset that I used foul language without even realizing it but only after the fact she threatened me. In all my years of working in the medical field not once have I ever encountered such a horrible manager.. No class whatsoever.. I did authorizations through many years and not once did my patients go through any of this. If this ever happens to anyone, you have a right to speak up. You have a right to fight for your health and that includes calling your insurance. No one should have to have suffered or feel the way she made me feel. Update: After I filed for grievance I got the reply back from my insurance and it was clear that they did not speak to the doctor like they were suppose to. They spoke to the manager. Because she lied to the person and made up other stuff, when I had witnesses, proof, for their actions.. I arrived there once late and the manager told my insurance trying to say that I made a big deal to the point the Dr. Told me something.. The only I said is that I got traffic but I come from far away. I arrived about 10 minutes late, but He never ever spoke to me in that manner. He still saw me even though he didn't have to. I find it to be rather frightening because these are people that are handling your medical file. I have these issues because I had cancer in my lung. A part had to be removed. My surgery was huge and painful. I don't want to be on meds but I have to be because if not I have horrible daily pain even 3 years later. This Doctor deserves a better staff. Has nothing to do with the medical experience or the meetings I had with the MD... The office is different in an uneducated and professionally personnel. His office staff is extremely nice, however the doctor himself is extremely rude, overbearing, doesn't listen to anything the patient has to say regarding their health. I got to my first appointment 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. This is after waiting OVER a month for an appointment (Remember...this is for PAIN management). It rained heavily last night and all of us with appointments left in plenty of time to get here early or on time, even though there was flooding and accidents. It is now 10 and we're being told by Veronica that the doctor and his staff are running over an hour behind due to traffic. Unfortunately, I am not able to wait due to other appointments I have today. I request to see the doctor in the next few days. I'm told that that is not possible and that I can "choose" to not wait for an extra hour or two for my appointment. I remind her that the new Affordable Care Act protocol would require a physician/specialist to see people earlier than a month. She reminds me that I can "choose" not to stay for a couple of hours to see the doctor, and that I can call my insurance company to request a different specialist. I remind her to please not be so snippy, and ask where her customer service is. She just reiterates the same message, and I leave. Dr. Kattih may be a great pain management doctor but it looks like I will never know since I can't seem to meet with him. I do not recommend making an appointment with this office of you are indeed in chronic pain and need medical attention sooner than a month or two. read more

I agree with Denise (previous review) completely. He's a very hard Dr. to 'read'. But I had also been on a high dose of opiates prior to seeing Dr. Kattih. My previous physician was prescribing WAY too many opiates (in my opinion). I did not want to live that way-THAT, I was sure of. However, I am also dealing with an extreme chronic pain issue. Coupled with that, I have very bottom barrel medical insurance these days. My point of saying that is, the doctors don't get paid a lot for my visits and procedures. And having worked for orthopedists for many years, I know the ins-and-outs of how medical practices/insurance works. Like a lot of us these days, I had fallen upon hard times and in turn lost the great medical insurance I once had. This was not an issue with this doctor. Instead of over prescribing opiates (putting a band-aid on the problem,and saving himself $$), he has scheduled and performed procedures for my back that actually get to the ROOT of my pain issues. So for this alone, I am very VERY grateful to this man. My main concern is that I feel HEARD and properly treated by my physicians, REGARDLESS of my cruddy insurance. And this is all I can ever ask for. I do think that the staff could be a little more helpful when explaining procedures to the patients, but honestly, that's my only side comment. So, thank you Dr. Kattih so much, for keeping me in the solution, rather than the problem. I am forever grateful to you and your staff! read more

I have been a patient of Dr Kattih for over 2 years in the beginning I thought he just didn't care but as time went by I got to know him he's a very responsible doctor and I thought he just had to be that way because there a lot of people out there that really don't need all the pain medicine so I always thought that's why he was so hard and just seemed like he didn't care but he really did you see times like now you have to be untrustworthy and to me it seemed that he was that way but I'm going to tell you he's the first and only doctor that I can honestly say that he dose care because you see I got COVID in January and I was hospitalized for 5 days and when I got out I had my appointment with him so my husband took me and when I got there my husband left me in the car and your not going to believe me this doctor left his office and walk side by side my husband and crossed the street to my car to see me and to ask how I was doing and to give me advice on how to keep taking care of myself his face his action showed me what a caring person this man is going out of his way for his patients you just can't say more about him so you see now I pay attention to him and I see things different because he really dose care I can always count on him and he always has a good plan for me thank you Dr kattih for everything you do and always helping me with my pain may god bless you and keep you safe always. I brought medical records on my secind visit upon request and even with documents diagnosing my pain issues he has the nerve to TELL me "I'm not in real pain." Very unsympathetic. Dr. Kattih may seem rude or may seem like he does not listen to the patient BUT, honestly it is usually the patient that is not listening and hearing his opinion. I have been seeing him for almost a year now and yes, at first, I did not understand why he seemed to be mad at me or be in a bad mood, but then I understood while listening to other patients in the waiting room. Trust me, he cares and does everything so that YOUR pain is managed. Unfortunately, some patients, such as myself just wanted what I had been taking but in the big picture I am SO glad he cannot be talked into doing what will eventually hurt me. I thank him and trust him totally. I highly urge you to so the same. As far as his staff, they have ALL treated me kindly. Unfortunately they get blamed for things they have no control. The Glendora office usually runs on or near time but when they do run behind, it is because Dr. Kattih is not rushing patients through. If we, the patients will just stop wasteing time trying to convince him to give us what we want, instead of letting him do his job, the wait times will be FAR less. read more
