There were many vendors to get samples from everywhere you turned and it was organized well! I'm glad I was able to get introduced to some new restaurants and many tables offered company merch and coupons which was a plus! It wasn't overcrowded and I didn't have to wait in any long lines for samples. My only complaint is that I wish they included some type of tray to hold your samples. It was very hard carrying around those little trays of food. Other than that I had a good time and will be better prepared next year!

Parking can get a little tricky but I found some street parking a couple of blocks down. This year, they had ten or so food trucks when I visited. There are different ones there each year but this time around, I rolled with (pun intended) Pho-jita and Minga's Latin Kitchen. They have some seating (though it's not covered) which isn't ideal when the weather is hot but it's better than nothing. They also had a DJ playing some jams while I was there. You definitely need to eat your money's worth considering tickets were on the pricey side depending on which tickets you get and when. Early bird tickets are best and there are discount codes you can use. You are given a box-like plate and cup at the door. This can be used to sample the food. Most lines move fast so you can get a bit of everything in the 3 hour span. I enjoy the food from majority of the places, some I have already tried while others I haven't heard of. My favorite of the night was the fresh oysters that were gigantic. The best part was that they had plenty to spare to everyone because some places ran out of their food fairly quickly. I wish there were tables you can sit at because being up on your feet and waiting in lines after a long day of work was tiring. Overall, this was a great event for a first-timer but I'm not too sure if I would come back a second time.

I got a little hungry around 8 and the only vendor I saw still cooking fresh samples was Frenchys. I gave them my token for best food because honestly it was and they earned my respect. You are still eating standing up, no seating. Some folks got a whole foods bag. That's it Probably 70% of the vendors had closed up shop by time I left at 845. Lots of planes on ground to roam around (and sometimes through) as well as great aerial performances. It may be obvious, but it certainly did not cross our minds before our first visit - there is no shade as the show takes place on an airfield...pretty hard to have trees where planes take off and land! Pack sunscreen. Bring water. Wear a hat. Take hearing protection. If you are committed to staying a while, bring folding chairs.

Can't imagine ever missing this show. All the volunteers are great, commentary spot on, and everything on the show itinerary is entertaining. Tips- bring earplugs! Long sleeves and pants (both thin though) to shield you from the sun but not get too hot. I've seen way too many walk out with bodyparts looking completely pink(please bring your sunscreen). Cash is better when buying food. Also if you live a bit further away I suggest bringing a change of clothes for after- depending on how the wind blows that day you might not like smelling like a firework the entire drive back home. We drive to the show each year (vs taking the bus from one of the lots) and it's almost an hour drive back, so I prefer to change when I get back to my car. Though this year the wind had the smoke moving away from the crowd.

The high wind and freezing cold temperature didn't stop them from performing. There was no rain on both days. I came here mainly to watch the performance by Teo Chew Temple Unicorn Lion & Dragon Dance team. I gave my out-of-town friend a treat with the live lion dance performance. We got there right after noon. Reading the schedule of events, it seemed to be more logical to catch some snacks before the dance performances started. I really appreciated that the shows were on schedule and announcements were consistent. I wished the weather was less cold wind because the emcee was complaining about he couldn't wear the Vietnamese traditional clothes.

It is not the biggest festival but can get pretty crowded. They blocked off most the parking lot for the festival so your best bet is to park in neighboring plazas. Plenty of activity and entertainment going on at this two day festival, Saturday and Sunday. There are lion dancing, martial arts, firecrackers, food vendors, sponsor venders, and a kid's bounce house. There are some interesting food such a chocolate covered bacon. That was interesting. However, doubt I can finish it. Majority of the food is Asian with a couple choices of desserts. The stage is where most of the crowds are. There is usually a performance on stage every 30min or so. Overall, a fun festival for celebrating Lunar New Years.

What a crock, lesson learned be very careful at these home shows across the Nation going on they will tell you anything to get into your home. The show itself was not too bad. Many exhibits and things being sold. Nice way to spend the day. Just did not like being misled about cost of product just to get into my home.
