I wasn't healing correctly after my first session and emailed my concerns with pictures but was given a generic response. I eventually ended up going to urgent care to be treated for inflammation. Even with pictures they never admitted it had been overworked. I was contemplating whether to find another artist to complete the initial work, which presented some challenges. However, I returned to the original artist some time later and wrote the reaction off as a consequence of new ink going over the old ink, or maybe a reaction to the short lived sani skin application. NO ONE IN THIS SHOP EVEN BREATHED A WORD THAT MY SKIN HAD BEEN OVERWORKED. Since the last session, every artist I've gone to for a consult told me that the area was definitely overworked and not my fault. The quality of the work is just ok, but as of right now the look is not cohesive. I hope to find a skilled artist who is even willing try to fix this. I did question whether or not he was taking longer to charge more. If I had returned, I would have paid over 5k total. I also spoke with the manager, Jo in person. I was in tears, explaining how unhappy I was so far, especially since I had already put so much time and money into it. She said she understood my concerns with stone face, condescension and passive aggressiveness. No apology, no offer to refund a portion or pay to have someone else finish it. Just silence and the hope I would disappear. Jo then proceeds to give me unsolicited "advice" regarding how she makes her own life decisions in a very childlike way. This is what happens when people are comfortable making assumptions about you. Thankfully, I don't take the opinions of someone who was excited about a 3 day stay in hotel by herself seriously (a story time I didnt ask her for). I realized she wasn't really listening to hear me. Jo said that Grimm has won awards etc.. none of that matters if you destroy someones skin. She was just countering me in an effort to dismiss my concerns. I urge people to seek artist that know how to work skin of different tones and textures. Brown skin doesnt mean go harder with the needle to do a cover. This establishment took my money and but did not deliver. They are unethical and Grimm appears to be MAGA. SUPER UMCOMFORTABLE for me. I told him I don't respect his lord and savior. If I had known beforehand, I would would never have let him tattoo me. Full stop. Overall, I gather that if you're happy with your experience all is well. I expressed dissatisfaction with legitimate, serious concerns and they made it my problem. As if I tatooed myself. I'm sure other factors were involved but they'll never admit it. Not publicly anyway. * warning graphic photos Update: I've had several consults to fix this mess and they all could not believe I paid $3600 and wasted 16 hours. All of my consults pretty much had the same opinion that my skin had been overworked and definitely overpaid for what was completed. Jo also told me that she would find out the brand of ink that was used and send me the template of the art that Grim used. To date I have not received either. I find that very petty and unprofessional of adults that run a business. But, how you do one thing is how you do everything. My skin is permanently scarred and I PAID for it. I could have gone to a master artist and had half my body done for that amount. If you are melanated please be careful...find an artist who actually works on clients of various skin colors and displays it. If you have soft, supple skin, be cautious... If you have the skin of a leather back turtle or genuinely just a slimeball this might be your place.

That should have been my first clue to leave. My right brow was done very high and light in color and round shaped and my left brow was was low and dark in color and square shaped. Right away I knew my brows were messed up. But Angel insisted I needed to wait for 4 weeks to heal and my brows would be more symmetrical. I did and nothing changed. I got a follow up appointment because she said she could correct my brows. I went back July 7th for my appointment and she's not there. I texted her and received a call with her apology and that she would be there in 30 minutes. I decided to leave and texted her I was leaving and going elsewhere for help. She continued to insist she could fix my brows. So I went back and thought my brows had been corrected. After a few days the scaling came off. I still had major issues. I have very noticeable Unevenness and color shading in my brows, especially more in the left. I'm so unhappy after giving her a second chance. I will be seeking another professional to help fix my brows.

My friend got a dip manicure and pedicure, I got my dip set soaked off and a new one put on. Hygiene standards were not followed. After soaking my dip off, they did the standard dip application but at no point did they have me wash my hands before sticking my fingers into the communal SNS powder. This is an easy way to spread bacteria and germs! The same thing happened with my friend- they did not have her wash her hands after prepping for the manicure.

I had to stop utilizing their services once I moved to the Southern Pines area, so I allowed my eyelashes to rest for a few months while I found a new esthetician. I booked a full volume set with Lexi. She was pleasant and friendly, which made me feel comfortable-- unfortunately that is the only positive thing that I can say about this experience. After discussing how I wanted to achieve a cat eye look with medium volume, Lexi began to work on my eyelashes. Two hours later, I notice that my left eye continues to water and tear up. It hurt so bad. Lexi had placed the glue too close to my lash line on an eyelash that she admitted was far too small to hold the weight of an extension. She then said that the watering of my eye may compromise the longevity of that set. I said "no, biggie, I understand", paid, and walked out. My left eye still hurt so bad. It wasn't until I got in my car and took a good look at the eyelashes that I realized that that lash was going to have to come out. Moreover, the lashes on my left eye were completely falling apart and drooping under their own weight. I went back inside and told Lexi about the problem. She was already with her next client, told me to rebook for the next day so she could fix it and removed the troubling eyelash. At this point, I'm in too much pain to ask for any other compensation and I just wanted to leave. Once I got back in my car, I realized that the lashes were drooping so far down that it was making it difficult for me to see. Unless I wanted to walk home, there was no way for me to leave since I drove myself. I knock on the door once more, Lexi lets me in and reluctantly removes my entire set. She put the remover on my eyelashes, left me with a fan to cope with the burning sensation and continued to service her next client in the other room. I felt terrible. She comes back, removes the lash extensions but neglects to remove the clumps of glue that were left on my natural eyelashes. I drove home, took a long hot shower, and my eyes began to burn again. I rubbed them and rubbed them because they felt like they were stuck together until the eyelashes began to fall out. My left eye is missing so many eyelashes now and it will take weeks for them to grow back. I honestly sobbed because I knew I was gonna get engaged over Christmas and my left eye was pretty bald now. There was snot and tears everywhere. It was not pretty. It was hurtful and I took a big hit to my confidence because of it. I decided to email the salon and let them know what happened to ask for a refund. I provided the pictures below as proof that something had gone really wrong during my experience and received a call from the owner about a half hour later. Up until this point, I would never have thought to write a poor review on a small business. I prioritize supporting local. However, the owner's response left me absolutely gutted. I did my best to put my big girl pants on and calmly explain what happened. She responded with saying that my story was not possible. She also stated that "she's been doing this for 30 years and has never seen anything like it". I didn't appreciate being gaslit into doubting whether my awful experience at the salon was real or not. Again, it was so hurtful. She said she would call me back after she talked to Lexi, but she never did. She also said she would reimburse me for the services, but she never did. It took me going to my bank and disputing the charges for me to get my money back. If I could give this business -10/10 stars, I would. People come to beauty salons to have their confidence boosted and leave feeling powerful. Instead, I left with a patchy left eye and a heart full of hurt. Save yourself the trouble and go someplace that won't make you look or feel this way. For the salon, if you feel like finally giving me that call back you promised, you have my phone number. Maria

Somewhere along the way, between covid, my cosmetologist changing professions and financial hardship, I had been plucking them at home. I had pretty sculpted eyebrows for years and years but my plucking got out of hand. I needed help! I did my research on the latest services available for eyebrows nowadays, which were not offered locally in Clinton or Roseboro, that I could find. I started doing my research online for places in Fayetteville. After viewing many different locations and reading review after review, I decided on Donia at Eye Envy. I wasn't going to let just any Tom, Dick or Harry work on my eyebrows. Donia had great reviews!! She was the person I needed! I just knew it. On her website, I made an appointment and paid the necessary fee to schedule with her. $10.00. Cool. She promptly responded. She emailed me several pages of policies to read,sign, and email back. I was so excited! I made it clear I was a newby and hoped I had chosen the appropriate service for me. It was for Henna tinting. She had also sent a few texts. She seemed so nice. Couldn't wait. Everything was set. The address was her home address. A nice gated community. She had left my name with the guard to let me in. I arrive at her house, we quickly said our "Heys and How are yous". Two requirements in her paperwork were to wear a mask and remove your shoes upon entering. I had my mask on. She didn't. I didn't hesitate a second further before I started the motion to remove my shoes. She hastily says "You know, this henna isn't going to help you at all and I don't want to waste your money". I had just driven over an hour to get there. Prior to my arrival, I had gotten a full body massage. I think that is what saved me that day from losing my cool. I told her that I wish I had of known and that I had just drove over an hour to get there. On the inside, I was thinking, Is she really serious right now!!?? She did seem like a nice lady and she apologized. I was so disappointed. Did she This happened about 4 weeks ago. I knew I was definitely going to give her a review, which I rarely do. I respectfully did everything she required and asked of me but she left me feeling disrespected that day. She sent me an email after I left stating the $10.00 was refunded to my debit card and she hoped I would use her services in the future. This is a long review to say, I felt my experience was great until I actually arrived for the appointment and any existing professionalism went out the window. It was shitty (for the lack of a better term). I hadn't even been there long enough for her to look at my eyebrows. Not even 10 seconds. I informed her what shape and condition my eyebrows were in from the beginning. I suggest, to Donia, that she should actually read and pay attention to what a new client is communicating to her and be more respectful of other's time. She had strict cancellation policies. Practice what you preach! I appreciate her not wanting to waste my money and I do not doubt her talent and abilities but she did waste my time with all those forms and my time and gas traveling there and back unnecessarily. Since gas is so cheap anyways!! Why did she let it go that far? May yo she continue to do good work and please your clientele in the future. I'm not a mean person but I don't like people to make me feel the way she did that day. It just wasn't meant for me to get that henna tinting done. Any effort made to aid in my eyebrow intervention would've gone a long way!!

Like a nervous chatter one does when they can't come up to par. I had Microblading done 10 years go in Sanford - it had all but faded out and my brows are now sparse from that fiasco and I needed a new set done - what I got was a joke. Literally. I was pressured into doing some sort of recorded review immediately after the procedure - so it was Johnny on the spot - of course you're not going to be ugly about your disappointment or the service bc you don't really realize or know how bad it is until a few days after. This place was convenient which is the reason I went to this one and the reviews seemed promising... years ago I put off going here and now I know why. My intuition knew better but now that I lived closer - I tried them anyway. Ughh ... Waste of money and very VERY unprofessional results. They should put more money into their training and results than their stores aesthetics. Just saying bc that pretty little bag with the joke of an oil to apply to my brows I had to pay for was overkill and a waste of money. I can't recommend this place.
