This is the best baby gear rental service on Kauai! My husband and I recently spent a week in Hanalei Bay with our 14 month old twins. I can't thank Kauai Baby Gear enough for making our trip such a success. There a couple other rental places on the island but I chose Kauai Baby Gear because they had stellar reviews, they had the most inventory, and there prices were extremely affordable. I loved that I could easily order all of the items online. There was also an option to purchase diapers and wipes which was awesome so I didn't have to pack that in the already stuffed suitcase or stop at the store! Everything was in immaculate condition and looked brand new. The owner, Veronica, contacted me a few days prior to the trip to confirm everything and asked where we wanted the pac n plays set up. Her and her husband Carlos arrived at our place right when we got there and set everything up! We rented to pac n plays, 2 mattresses, a diaper genie, 2 high chairs, a double stroller, baby gates, umbrellas, a cooler, sand toys, beach chairs, and a tonka truck. The Tonka truck was a hit! We will definitely have to buy one now! Veronica and her husband are incredibly kind, polite, and professional locals! She gave me her cell # before they left and told me to call if I had any questions about anything. She is a great resource for baby sitting services and kid friendly activities on the island. They came and picked everything up after we left. It was also helpful that they marked all of their items with a black sharpie because were were staying in a condo that also had sand toys and beach gear which we could have easily mixed up. We rented a full crib, high chair and bucket of toys from Kauai Baby Gear during our two week stay in Kauai in May 2017. Communication was excellent (they reply quickly by text) and the rental gear was excellent condition/quality. Our daughter slept great in the crib and especially loved the Pooh Bear sheet that they had included. The bucket of toys (which is big and comes with about 8 toys) was a huge hit on the beach and we ended up using it almost every day. Dropping off/picking up the gear was easy and Kauai Baby Gear even communicated with our rental condo managers for the details on this so it was no work for us. We switched condos half way through our vacation (Poipu to Hanalei) and they transported the gear for us and set up the items in the new place. Traveling with 2 under 2 is no simple feat. However with companies like these, they make it MUCH easier! We rented 2 pack n plays to use as beds, 2 mattresses (I HIGHLY recommend springing for the mattresses for your babies. It's like you sleeping on the floor or on the box springs for your vacation - would you???), 2 highchairs, an exersaucer, a tent, and toys for about $167 for 3 days. Everything was there before we arrived, and the process was so easy. We communicated by text message and the owner was even on vacation while we had made all the arrangements only a couple of days before we arrived. This place is great. I was happy with all the equipment we rented - it was clean, high quality, just what we had asked for, and available at our front door right at the start of our vacation. The prices were reasonable, too - we mainly rented it because we wanted a high chair for our 17 mo son, but also rented the hiker, beach umbrella/chair, some sand toys, and a dump truck. I think the dump truck was the highlight of my son's vacation! We changed the pickup location in the middle of our trip with a quick email, no hassle at all. On top of it, Amber is the nicest person in the world. We hadn't realized that we lost a pad that went with the hiking backpack. When Amber let us know at the end of our trip she was completely sympathetic and felt bad that she had to share the news with us. She even went to the rental car place to see if they had it! What a fantastic experience! We just got back from a 6 day stay in Princeville where we pre-ordered 2 cribs, a bouncer, swing, and baby bath tub. Veronica the owner was so accommodating. Yep, 5 stars from me too! I didn't read the reviews but here's my story.. we had a 5 night stay in Hawaii coming up when I all the sudden realized what hotels are providing for "cribs" these days. We are used to bringing our pack and play or staying in a VRBO who provides a pack n play. So a couple days before our checkin I'm panicking. I call the hotel and the first person tells me it's the standard white metal "crib" that is thinner in width than a pack n play. So I immediately start looking for a crib rental (didn't know this was a thing!) Kauai baby gear got back to me and said they were sold out. So I frantically call the hotel again, they second lady tells me it's a normal size crib, you'll be fine. I start to calm down, but message Kauai baby gear one last time just in case they had a cancellation.. THEY DID! I wasnt sure if I needed them now since the hotel said it's "a normal crib". I booked it just in case since it was only 12$ a day! Other locations were charging close to double. I told them I was hesitant since the hotel one might be fine but once I opened the door to my hotel room and saw both the hotel crib and the rental crib I almost fainted. It's was flimsy, small, and a mattress no more than 1.5 inches thick. My 2 year old would NOT have been able to sleep in the hotel one for a minute let alone through 5 naps and 5 nights!! Kauai baby gear SAVED my vacation. On top of that, I realized they were picking up at 10am the last day of vacation and my son needed to nap at 11. I emailed them asking for a 3 hour extension and they said no problem! Incredibly thankful and 100% recommend them for all your baby needs! read more

We spent 9 days on Kauai with our two infants and didn't want to fly our portable cribs there, as the airlines have damaged them in the past.
