We were craving pasta and Kauai pasta Lihue hit the spot! We especially loved the Mac nut pesto that was 10000/10 for me. I would pass on the Alfredo. We will definitely be coming back!

This was our first time coming to this establishment and we really enjoyed it. Service was great, food was delicious and overall ambience was great. Our food came out pretty fast and was very tasty. We will be returning for sure !

Ugh I was really bummed about this place. We decided to switch it up and go for some pasta since we had been having a bunch of seafood everyday, and I was disappointed. I'm hoping it was a one off thing but can't be sure unless I was to try it again. I found this place on Yelp and it had good reviews so we gave it a try. We order pesto pasta, chicken alfredo, and a kids spaghetti and pizza. The pesto pasta was so oily and lacked flavor. We had placed it as a to go order and the oil leaked as soon as we left and it dripped out the paper bag onto the seat. When we stopped to eat our food, there was so much oil in the pasta is was definitely not good. The chicken Alfredo was decent, had a different taste to it but somewhat good. Now the spaghetti and pizza (kids meals) were good. Although the spaghetti barely had any meat sauce on it, it still was decent and the pizza was on a type of bread (maybe sourdough) with sauce and toasted with cheese so I was happy that it wasn't a frozen one. Now the place itself was nice and modern looking and the person who helped us was nice but it definitely wasn't even worth the piece we paid. We paid about $115 and left a $15 tip. Now I don't care about the tip because it was a to go order and we wanted to just leave a tip to the server but the price we paid for the food we didn't even enjoy was outrageous. I don't think we'll be back, for a while at least. I do believe in second chances so maybe one day.

Fettuccine Alfredo with house salad lunch

Excellent service! Told us about the lunch plate special which was the perfect balance of pasta and salad. Fettuccine Alfredo was smooth and mellow, as it should be! Meat sauce needed a bit more flavor substance. Ham panini was perfect. Highly recommend. Convenient location with off street parking. Handled a big group and half a dozen small tables easily.

We finally had the chance to eat here recently. Met a friend and was greeted when entered. Got sat. Beautiful inside, but very simple. Our waitress was very friendly, cheerful and welcoming. Got the mango cream soda, non alcoholic. Interesting. It was nice. I ordered the pear spinach salad with grilled chicken added on. Presentation was beautiful and the salad was delicious. I had it with feta cheese. It's a fairly large salad. It was perfect. My companion had the combination Linguine with cream sauce and Caesar Salad. It looked delicious and she enjoyed it. We definitely will be back!

Excellent service, comfortable seating at tables, no booths. Good for kids too, pasta was tasty. We come here every time we visit Kauai. Never disappoints. Portions could be a little bigger for the price , but we were not hungry after dinner.

The best service I have had on Kauai. The decor is new and modern in a very open place. Usually I am not an Italian restaurant fan since I am often underwhelmed but this restaurant was different. The food was excellent and fresh perfectly seasoned. I had the eggplant parmigiana and it could. Not get any better. Crispy and full of flavor. Portions were perfect and I left full. The wine list was great several Italian wines to choose from. Definitely I will be a regular here.

For starters...Evan was our server and a great one! We were seated promptly with Evan popping up at our table in no time. We had 2 different starters and shared a salad which Evan asked if we wanted split before serving. All was delicious and presented well. Large spacious dining area so one does not feel the table next to you is part of your group.

The new location is amazing and the food matches. We had the best pesto pasta we have had in a long time and the fettuccine with shrimp!!!! Yum. Don't forget to start with a Ceasar salad!

Last day in Kauai so had to get a great meal and KP Lihue didn't disappoint. Cute little local restaurant and packed with locals so you know it's good. Had the homemade pesto pasta which was full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. Not overly priced and great ambience. Highly recommend if your in the area and looking for great Italian food

Unless FIFA introduces a salary cap for Brie consumption, I'll be back hopefully before the next tournament. One clutch tip before you try your own championship run: reserve a table. This place stays packed harder than a World Cup final because it sits in the middle of a gorgeous Lihue plantation where you can ride trains, sample rum, and wander around pretending you're the captain of your own national squad. If your afternoon turns into a highlight reel after a couple rum tastings, sub in your phone and lock down that reservation before you're left watching from the sidelines. The Macadamia Nut Crusted Brie and grape salad deserves its own Golden Boot. The warm, crispy bread delivers perfect assists while the sweet grapes and creamy cheese play tiki-taka so beautifully they'd make defenders dizzy. Then comes the creamy portabella mushroom pasta, which doesn't need chicken, shrimp, or any superstar signing--it carries the entire squad by itself and wins the game in extra time. The staff treats every guest like they just scored the winning penalty, and if you really want the championship experience, request the patio garden. We paired the burger with the Island Lager. It had a very crisp, clean taste that complemented the meal perfectly. Highly recommended! On our second night, we tried the pizza. Being from California, we're spoiled with some amazing wood-fired pizza places, but hands down--this pizza was absolutely delicious. The dough was soft and clearly handmade rather than ready-made, and the cheese and pepperoni were fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend BV's for both the fantastic food and the stellar service!

This place has an extensive Italian menu, and a huge drink menu showcasing a vast collection of bourbon. All of which is wildly overpriced, which is to be expected in this context. No complaints there. It's the Italian menu. Well, not really the menu...the cooking is horrific. We ordered a Hawaiian BBQ chicken pizza. A 16" thin crust which should have been a nice treat on an island with no shortage of fresh chickens and pineapple, and with a solid love of BBQ. The waitress was friendly and I was very optimistic. We also ordered some salad. The food came out quickly. First the salad. The lettuce was flimsy. The salad dressing was tasteless. It was basically some limp green lettuce and coarse chopped bell peppers. The salad was disappointing, to say the least - you have to seriously not give a rip to make a salad that boring. Then the main event! The pizza arrived. Complete with that nifty metal rack thing they bring out so that your pizza seems to hover over your table. The table did not have red pepper flakes, extra cheese or even salt and pepper - which I figured was a good sign. It looked OK: small chunks of chicken spread thinly across a 16" pizza, with small pineapple chunks (all of which were strangely uniform in size) and a pretty generous splattering of BBQ sauce mixed into the melted mozzarella. I sliced myself a slab of that pie and got ready to eat! One bite told me everything I needed to know. The uniformly shaped pineapple chunks had that telltale slightly metallic flavor because...IT CAME FROM A CAN! Hawaiian sacrilege! Then the BBQ sauce hit. I couldn't tell if it was from unsold McRib sandwiches, KC Masterpiece, or a jug of plain wrap BBQ SAUCE from the Big Save Market. It wasn't good. Then I reached the crust, which seemed like it came out of one of those Pillsbury tubes you get at the store and smack on your kitchen counter to get it to pop open. Nice for wrapping hot dogs for 7 year olds, not so great for pizza dough. The Hawaiian criminal code should include a felony for serving canned pineapple to unsuspecting pizza eaters. Bobby V's doesn't even have a beautiful Hawaiian vibe going for them. The ambiance is the disastrous hell hole called the Coconut Marketplace - a pointless commercial development where they ripped out real Hawaii and built simulated Hawaii. There are several other restaurants walking distance from this place, and even a McDonald's that's not so that far away; even the egg salad from a dispenser in the men's room at a nearby gas station is probably better than the pizza we ate (and it might make you a genius!) While attempting to eat a piece of their awful pizza - I watched as several plates of very overcooked pasta were served at nearby tables. The pasta was clearly very mushy and it didn't smell very good either. Perhaps they serve good desserts, depending on what's on sale at Costco. The beer was good...but someone else made that. Don't just skip Bobby V's, run! Run! And warn the others. I'm an absolutely hard pass on this place and you should be too. UPDATE: We got home from our trip and put together a Costco pizza kit for a late dinner. It was 10X better than Bobby V's pie, and cost about $3.

They are definitely on the expensive side, but they were beautifully made, well-balanced, and worth the splurge. The atmosphere is what really makes this place special. Between the oceanfront setting, live music, and friendly, attentive service, it's a wonderful place to spend an evening. The food, however, was a bit of a mixed experience. I ordered the coconut shrimp, and unfortunately they were overfried--quite dark and a little too crispy for my taste. My husband enjoyed his teriyaki steak with rice, so that was a much better choice. We also tried the calamari, which was just okay. The pieces were small, heavily breaded, and fried. I've definitely had better calamari elsewhere. Overall, I think you're paying as much for the incredible location, atmosphere, and service as you are for the food. I'm glad we went, and I would recommend visiting at least once for the beautiful setting, tropical cocktails, and live music. Just know that, in our experience, there are other restaurants on Kauai where the food is the real star. Would I return? Yes--for the view, the cocktails, and the atmosphere. For the food alone, I'd probably explore some of Kauai's other excellent local restaurants first.
