This spot is eye-catching. Colorful building that we kept passing by we had to try it. From the exterior walls you already knew it sold local food. There is a small parking lot but we found parking. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We tried the loco moco. It was delicious! So much flavor. Great portions. The staff is very nice. Loved the interior decor and the vibes.

This place is a bit pricey but offers a wide range foods and drinks. The donuts are pretty good. Vibrant and lively environment inside the store because of the bright colors (has seating inside as well). The staff were very kind as well. The breakfast burrito I had was small and good.

    The shop!

Great service great donuts we come back multiple times every time we visit Kauai. It is a must!

A definite must stop for doughnuts and breakfast! You could tell everything was made fresh and to order. Limited seating inside so consider a to-go order.

Stopped in for national donut day and wasn't disappointed! So many good and fun options and some very unique flavors too. It's a super fun restaurant that has way more than just donuts. The service was great- we had so many questions and were indecisive, but she was so patient and helpful.

Regular, vanilla Bavarian custard, and strawberry malasada's aka Portuguese donuts. Hubby loved.

The ambiance is cool. So much to look at, inside and out. We were welcomed by a gentleman that explained what a malasada is, which is what we came here for. Lots of food and drink options! Just sold out of the 2 we went there for (coconut and chocolate), but we set a date for July to return and have them, hahaha. Thank you to the gentleman helping us and letting us joke with him!

Food is good. Loco moco's gravy was little pepper spicy. Ask to put gravy on the side if it's for your child. Donuts are fluffy and delicious. I wanna try Malasada next time !

What a cute place. This place has one the best malasadas. It was my first time trying one and it did not disappoint. Light and not to sugary. My type of pastry without filling guilty. I will definitely be back again.

My other half goes here very often and I've got a burrito this time around and it tasted different. I cut the burrito in half and ate one bite and there was no eggs or sauce in it after that bite. Burrito consistency not the same I don't know if it's the cooks or rushing to make the burritos. Very disappointed again. Tasted the coffee from my other half and the girl didn't know what she was doing while the other girl was just stand there.

We passed this place a few times during the week and finally stopped in to grab malasadas. They were delicious! They also have so many yummy looking pastries. I wanted to try them all. I'd love to come back and try the food too. The staff were helpful and welcoming. Love the vibe here. Just fyi they usually sell out of malasadas by 1 so don't wait!

I am so sad to take my last bite of this maple donut, sprinkled with perfectly cooked bacon crumbles, until next Nov.

I have driven by this place since it opened it's doors years ago and never explored it until last week. When u want to splurge, this is the place to do it! Buy a 6 pack, u will be so happy u did! They have the most selection of donuts I have ever seen and the staff is awesome! The loco moco looked yummy! Best Maple Bacon donut ever and I am a senior so that is saying allot!!!!

My husband loves donuts so and so we had to stop and try some here in Hawaii. We were pleasantly surprised with the coconut malasada. It was fresh and not too heavy. The cream cheese one did not have the same effect. The server recommended the coconut one and for good reason! Thank you for that! It was delicious. The twist was also good for those not interested in the malasadas. There is easy parking, and the interior has a few self seating tables.

Went the first time for some malasadas but they were sold out so we opted for a few drinks and a cinnamon bun! Hubby devoured it! So we decided we will come back earlier the next morning. We got there in time to grab several different kinds of malasadas and breakfast. Wish they had Portuguese sausage since their regular sausage patties were not very good. The malasadas were delicious and breakfast was decent; açaí bowls were fresh and tasty! Would definitely recommend giving them a try if you are in the area

Both times we visited, the waitstaff was incredibly courteous, attentive, and greeted us with warm, beautiful smiles. Food & Drinks: The Cheeseburger: Extremely juicy, perfectly cooked, and topped with fresh condiments on a beautifully toasted bun. The fries were extra crispy, delicious, and perfectly salted. We paired the burger with the Island Lager. It had a very crisp, clean taste that complemented the meal perfectly. Highly recommended! On our second night, we tried the pizza. Being from California, we're spoiled with some amazing wood-fired pizza places, but hands down--this pizza was absolutely delicious. The dough was soft and clearly handmade rather than ready-made, and the cheese and pepperoni were fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend BV's for both the fantastic food and the stellar service!

This place has an extensive Italian menu, and a huge drink menu showcasing a vast collection of bourbon. All of which is wildly overpriced, which is to be expected in this context. No complaints there. It's the Italian menu. Well, not really the menu...the cooking is horrific. We ordered a Hawaiian BBQ chicken pizza. A 16" thin crust which should have been a nice treat on an island with no shortage of fresh chickens and pineapple, and with a solid love of BBQ. The waitress was friendly and I was very optimistic. We also ordered some salad. The food came out quickly. First the salad. The lettuce was flimsy. The salad dressing was tasteless. It was basically some limp green lettuce and coarse chopped bell peppers. The salad was disappointing, to say the least - you have to seriously not give a rip to make a salad that boring. Then the main event! The pizza arrived. Complete with that nifty metal rack thing they bring out so that your pizza seems to hover over your table. The table did not have red pepper flakes, extra cheese or even salt and pepper - which I figured was a good sign. It looked OK: small chunks of chicken spread thinly across a 16" pizza, with small pineapple chunks (all of which were strangely uniform in size) and a pretty generous splattering of BBQ sauce mixed into the melted mozzarella. I sliced myself a slab of that pie and got ready to eat! One bite told me everything I needed to know. The uniformly shaped pineapple chunks had that telltale slightly metallic flavor because...IT CAME FROM A CAN! Hawaiian sacrilege! Then the BBQ sauce hit. I couldn't tell if it was from unsold McRib sandwiches, KC Masterpiece, or a jug of plain wrap BBQ SAUCE from the Big Save Market. It wasn't good. Then I reached the crust, which seemed like it came out of one of those Pillsbury tubes you get at the store and smack on your kitchen counter to get it to pop open. Nice for wrapping hot dogs for 7 year olds, not so great for pizza dough. The Hawaiian criminal code should include a felony for serving canned pineapple to unsuspecting pizza eaters. Bobby V's doesn't even have a beautiful Hawaiian vibe going for them. The ambiance is the disastrous hell hole called the Coconut Marketplace - a pointless commercial development where they ripped out real Hawaii and built simulated Hawaii. There are several other restaurants walking distance from this place, and even a McDonald's that's not so that far away; even the egg salad from a dispenser in the men's room at a nearby gas station is probably better than the pizza we ate (and it might make you a genius!) While attempting to eat a piece of their awful pizza - I watched as several plates of very overcooked pasta were served at nearby tables. The pasta was clearly very mushy and it didn't smell very good either. Perhaps they serve good desserts, depending on what's on sale at Costco. The beer was good...but someone else made that. Don't just skip Bobby V's, run! Run! And warn the others. I'm an absolutely hard pass on this place and you should be too. UPDATE: We got home from our trip and put together a Costco pizza kit for a late dinner. It was 10X better than Bobby V's pie, and cost about $3.

I've been dying to try their Big Island location on past trips but never made it happen. Since they don't take reservations, I was fully expecting a long wait arriving around 12:30 PM on a Friday, but we were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. While most people sat in the covered patio area, we opted to sit right outside with our feet in the sand, because why not?! The beach view is unbelievable, and the breeze kept us perfectly comfortable without feeling too hot. Hubs and I were both craving fish, so I ordered the fish tacos and he got the fish and chips. Everything was so good! Honestly some of the best battered fish I've had in a really long time. Add in a cocktail to kick off the vacation, and it made for the ultimate welcome lunch to Kauaʻi. Between the food and the incredible vibes, this place set the perfect tone for our weekend trip. Will definitely be back!

The virgin lava lava flow was sweet and creamy. Perfect way to end the night! The restaurant and bar definitely get crowded, but there's plenty of space inside and outside. You can get a nice view of the beach. The weather is always good, so we sat outside. The bartender was also super kind and checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything else.
