June 2026 I ordered from Island Craves via DoorDash. Long story short, the DD driver stole one of our orders. I called Island Craves and spoke to the owner. We both deduced the driver was a thief! The owner was super cool and chill and no one was to blame but DD. Regardless, we ordered the loco moco and it was DELICIOUS! Because of the DD mishap, the owner gave us 6 donuts. Donuts were dry, like they were sitting there for a while, the malsada also must've been old. :/ and very very disappointed with the Loco Moco :( had no seasoning or flavor in the meat nor gravy. Overpriced for what is was. Not everyone should make loco moco. Go to Waipouli Deli & Restaurant up the road if you're craving a flavorful loco moco. read more

This spot is eye-catching. Colorful building that we kept passing by we had to try it. From the exterior walls you already knew it sold local food. There is a small parking lot but we found parking. Great location -- walked there from our resort down the street. We only tried the malasadas -- a first for us, but we were seeing them all over the place and had to satisfy our curiosity. The place can fairly be described as a little funky, in a good way. The menu is mainly pastries (fresh, homemade and sooooo yummy!), burgers, pizzas and the like. The malasadas were fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly and fast. They do have unquie types of donuts that were good, but there breakfast sandwich claimed to come with scrambled eggs came with over medium. Went the first time for some malasadas but they were sold out so we opted for a few drinks and a cinnamon bun! Hubby devoured it! So we decided we will come back earlier the next morning. We got there in time to grab several different kinds of malasadas and breakfast. Wish they had Portuguese sausage since their regular sausage patties were not very good. Excellent gluten free pizza, the crust was so good I was nervous it was too good to be true until I double checked with the staff! My husband also really enjoyed their donuts and burger options. Reasonably priced and a great spot for a takeout lunch or dinner to the beach. read more

I really wanted to like this place after reading so many positive reviews. We went for breakfast one day not long after they opened and they were out of sausage breakfast sandwiches. Doughnuts were ok but not wow. The tater tot's had a unique flavor for sure. Almost like old oil or something. This was breakfast. Lunch another day we ordered a pizza and a burger. The burger was great. The pizza took around 35-40 minutes and was so greasy and soggy. I'm not sure if they are microwaved or what, but I was disappointed for sure. I guess this is Kauai version of the voodoo donuts on the mainland, so we decided to try some. They had different flavor combinations so we ordered the Oreo & Mint, Strawberry Sprinkles, Chocolate sprinkles and Macadamia nut and the Oreo & Mint donut was very good.
