I had their vegetarian pizza which tasted just delicious! The marinara sauce was amazing and was probably hand made. The pizza was already customised to have some of my favourite toppings so it was an easy choice :) Also the people are so friendly as they are located within a laid back plantation cottage. The views are also very decent as you can catch a glimpse of the ocean and coconut trees while munching on your pizza. Pretty good vegetarian pizza and Garlic Cheese Bread that I had when ordering take-out from their location. The staff are good and friendly overall. A bit pricey as to be expected and there are not a lot of food options around this particular area, but the restaurant is located right off the main highway in a plantation cottage at the west end of Waimea Town and there is plenty of parking. read more

Not sure why other reviewers have "panned" the supreme pizza at this place. We ordered a large today (14") and proceeded to devour the entire thing - so good. Just the right balance of pepperoni, sausage, olives, bell pepper and cheese. The crust was outstanding. Service was very good. Our server was kind enough to dispense a beer from the Beer Wall for me. The only negative was watching the Denver Broncos get tased by the San Diego Chargers. I love thinner pizza with good sauce and cheese that pulled. This place totally delivered! No photos because we were hungry but we ordered the pepperoni and it came out piping hot and perfect. Also ordered loaded fries, which were great. If you're coming from the mainland and expecting some Italian miracle slice, calm down. It's Kauai. They did a great job with the food and service! Conveniently located where we where staying (Waimea Cottages) so it was a place we had to try with the kids. FOOD: We only tried their cheese pizza and it was fantastic. The pizza has a somewhat thin crust and it has a rustic feel to it. Absolutely delicious. Kids and adults both loved it. We loved it so much in fact that we ended up ordering it again during the same stay. SERVICE: A bit slow and the staff was quite whatever. Not necessarily rude, but they did not make you feel welcomed. LOCATION: This pizza place is at the same location as Chicken in a Barrel. Same restaurant actually. Plenty of parking up front and plenty of seating all around. NOTEWORTHY: Conveniently located inside the Waimea Cottage. They also had a big assortment of draft beers available. It's been awhile since we've been back. We came when you guys first started doing pizza and it was good... But the food quality has gone down hill since then the pizza was too thin you couldn't even pick it up. The onions and bell peppers on the supreme were too thick and came out raw on the pizza. We also ordered the loaded fries the french fries were barely fried the pork on the fries was cold. Disappointing. The ambiance of this place is really nice. If they hired a chef to really focus on food quality this place could do a booming business being the only bar that far west. Service was good very friendly staff. Liked that there was qr codes so we could just order and not have to wait. Dining here donates to a good cause. Thats worth coming back. Maybe just for a few drinks not the food. read more

Our 4th time here. Really loved the food and Everything else the first three times! This time the staff insisted we use the QR and app to order, not one person checked on us, no one offered water or asked if we wanted the Beer Wall (had to get our own water), had to go ask for utensils even after they brought our food. The hubs and I were looking to have dinner without the long drive from where we were staying. Luckily, da pizza place was not too far. It's actually located in the same place of Chicken in the barrel. There is not much to distinguish a pizza eatery to a bbq place upon entering. It will only be the signage from when you drive through and the menus that are placed inside a wooden stand. The hubs is a pizza fan and there's not much that would turn him away from even the worst pizza. He ordered the supreme at the counter, paid and was given a number to take to the table. The seating outside is gorgeous during the day and at the night. You can walk out onto the grounds pass the cabins to the beach. Within 20 minutes the pizza arrives and it looked great. The da supreme came with onions, peppers, onions, Italian sausage, pepperoni, and mushrooms. They say they make the pizza in house. My first bite was ok. The crust was spongy and slightly crunchy. The cheese was not bad, but didn't have the stretch and minimal saltiness. It filled the hubby's stomach and everyone was very sweet and accommodating. Tables were wiped down and clean. Recently went to this place in Waimea town. Fairly new establishment conveniently close to home. Craved for pizza and wanted to try this place out. Ordered a 10inch cheese pizza with extra cheese and also another 10 inch meat lover pizza. Their cheese pizza was good, especially with extra cheese. Cheese pull for sure. Love it because it wasn't salty, it was basically just right for me. The only downfall is that the crust wasn't as crispy as I wanted it to be, but a little chewy. Lucky thing I had ranch on-hand to finish it off. Overall, good taste, but need a crispier crust. The Meat Lover was for my hubby. He and I enjoyed it, good balance in flavors and plentiful toppings. Nice size pizza for a hungry person for 1, but shareable for 2. Again, crust was little chewy, but can be a little crispier. Overall all, location of this pizza place is at the Waimea Plantation cottages, same building as the Chicken in a Barrel. Plentiful parking our front. We were there a few days ago and we were definitely not impressed with the service. You basically have to do everything, but no one tells you that when you come in. They just told us to sit where we want so after a while we saw a scratched up sentence to look at the menu then on the menu we figured out we need to order ourselves. What was annoying is every time we asked a question about where to fill our sodas or where we're supposed to go to get a to go box they looked annoyed with us. I was already annoyed I had to ask where I get everything and I have to do everything myself and then they asked on the check if we want to leave an 18% tip or great! Honestly I'm cool with a new way of doing things but I wanted it to be explained when I walk in so I'm not constantly trying to flag someone down for ketchup (which I had to get myself!). Food was very mediocre and expensive. Beautiful view I'll give it that. The only polite and very helpful person was a young man named Jayden I believe he was the only one helping everyone and with a nice personality. Anyways won't be back. read more

This place just opened as an add on to Chicken in a Barrel at Plantation Cottages. I deliver Neapolitan pizzas to friends in Waimea as there are no edible pizzas nearby. Finally we have a contender. The crust is handmade and rustic. They make the mistake of cooking their tomato sauce, but their mozzarella is good. Their Margharita pizza is decent, but you have to order it without the fresh tomatoes and balsamic reduction if you want a true Margharita. A little extra olive oil wouldn't hurt either. But this place blows away Dominos and Pizza Hut. Until Pietro's serves Neapolitan pizza during the day, we disabled folks will choose this place!! read more

The last 3 times we ordered take out there it was wrong, missing items, tonight we ordered the $30 14" pizza and received maybe a 10" size. It has a beautiful atmosphere, so it is just sad. They seem to get the orders right if you eat there, but there are flies everywhere, to the point you have to cover your food as you eat. No more for us locals even at 5 minutes away! read more

We loved Da Pizza Place! Waimea is our favorite spot on Kauai, we've come here every single year for the past 15 years. It was a welcome surprise to find a new restaurant on this side of the island, and a pizza joint at that! We ordered several different pizzas and they were all a hit with the whole family.
