The restaurant was pretty empty. Many folks were picking up orders. Seating was comfortable in chairs. There was only one booth type seating available The pizza was good, the crust got a little soggy after it was served, but I think that was due to the good amount of toppings, so no issue there. . Prices are a bit steep, but we are in Kauai in a tourist area so it's to be expected. read more

This pizza parlor is pretty good! Local ingredients means fresh and delicious. Although it's thin crust, there's still chewiness and airiness of a pan pizza without the grease. It gets pretty busy with dining-in and takeout customers around 6 pm, so take that into account if you're pressed for time. It's by no means a fancy place--casual parlor that caters to mostly tourists is what you get here. Good pizza, I disagree with some of the not so good reviews. The pizza crust was delicious and they gave good quantities of toppings. We had the all meat pizza and it was a generous size for $35... not bad at all. We added a side Cesar salad and it was plenty for two. Very good pizza. More than enough for the two of us. Reasonably fast service given how busy they are. However, $34 for a pizza is pricey.

The pizza oven is shared between this restaurant and the one next to it, so our single pizza took about an hour to come out. The pizza itself I would give a 3/10 and I feel like the price is way too overpriced for the size and quality of the pizza itself. The place is very small and cramped, but the service was great and our server was very nice. I am looking forward to trying this place again soon hopefully with some improvements read more

Well I hate hate hate writing poor reviews but here goes. Last night my wife and I decided to have pizza for dinner so we ordered take out from Poipu Pizza. The service was wonderful but the pizza was terrible. We ordered a margarita pizza because we love the combination of the cheese, fresh basil, olive oil, etc. Over the years of ordering margarita pizza we've never had one that we didn't love. Well, until now! The margarita pizza was absolutely flavorless. A regular cheese pizza would have been better than what we ordered! The sauce was flat, there were a couple of basil leaves scattered on top, the cheese was bland, and the pizza dough tasted like it was a premade frozen dough. My wife and I are celebrating our 50th anniversary on this beautiful island and the food we've eaten has been unique, tasty and memorable. Our pizza from Poipu was also memorable but memorable because it just didn't measure up, it was the worse pizza we've ever had. read more

Their pizza is good, so that's why they get 3 stars. Our experience was bad for a Saturday dinner: it was slow, only one person as hostess/waitress/busser/line server (she did an amazing job taking care of everything but the restaurant still needs more people). Tried Poipu Pizza with the family tonight. I'm not one to take my time to write reviews, but the poor service here constitutes my time to either warn others or warn this restaurant that they should get it together with more staff and better training so they don't end up having to close their doors. When we were seated we waited 20 minutes to put in our order of one pizza and two salads. We had a couple small questions before deciding on our order and the waitress was unable to answer any of them. She kept having to "go back and ask". It's okay to be new and not familiar, but basic training would help the customer and also help the staff not feel inadequate. The food was actually very tasty. We enjoyed it. However, here was the problem aside from what I've already mentioned. - We waited 45 minutes for one pizza of half cheese/half pepperoni. - My father asked for a refill of his drink and the waitress brought him half a glass with no ice. We asked if there was ice and she made an "oops" face along with a response of "oh, I forgot about that." - The manager kept coming in and helping out. We waited 20 minutes for two garden salads, and 45 minutes for the pizza. After waiting so long, we asked her about it when she made a pass by our table and of course told us she was going to check on it "right now" and then guess what? Miraculously she returned within one minute with our food. If you're hungry and hoping to "grab a pizza," I wouldn't recommend this place. To celebrate our anniversary we decided to try Poipu Pizza. Our server, Alan was friendly and greeted us as soon as we arrived at the Lounge. We ordered a sausage/mushroom pizza and it was delicious!
