    Glazed pork chop

A lovely restaurant with delicious inspired food, unfortunately we were there at the height of spring break so one large group with 6 unruly kids put a bit of a damper on the evening for the vast majority of adult diners. Food wise, we enjoyed the truffle croquettes a lot and the whiskey pork chop was tender and luscious. There's an ok wine list and a variety of specialty cocktails. Our server, whose name I don't get (on the short side with long pony tail) did a wonderful job despite having a lot of tables .

    Mai tai - very good!

We went for happy hour, and it was half off drinks! I got the Mai tai which was probably the best I had on the island, and my boyfriend got a beer that was about $3.50 with the discount. Great deals!!

Delicious drinks! Scrumptious appetizers! Highly recommend the goat cheese risotto croquettes and the prawn polenta appetizers. Braised beef with mashed potatoes was outstanding. The chocolate soufflé to finish was the perfect end.

Everything was lovely. Food was delicious. Service was great. I don't understand why but the restaurant was fairly empty. I've been visiting the island for 20 years and was nice to visit a new restaurant other than the older places that never update their menu and are very loud.

Pineapple whisky pork chop. Ate all the taters and gravy and took 1/2 the pork chop home for ramen.

First-class service from our server and bartender. The food was top-notch (see photos). We arrived before our reservation for the 5:00 first seating and sat at the bar where Elissa made us awesome happy hour Mai Tais. (Thursday is all day happy hour in the bar!) The hostess found us at 5 and seated us at a comfy booth. Our wonderful server Jenny took over from there. She was friendly, attentive and gave us all the time needed to enjoy a birthday celebration. I loved the French Onion Soup, my partner had the classic Caesar salad. We both relished the pork chop and chicken marsala. We finished with the Mint chocolate pie. Highly recommended!

I recently visited the Table at Poipu with my parents for dinner on our last night of being on Kauai. We have eating challenges ( gluten free (celiac), dairy allergy and egg allergy). Upon dining, we looked at their menu and it was labeled very well. When we went in, it was not what i was expecting from what i assumed was a high end restaurant. I just do not think booths screams fancy. I took a star off for that. Our waiter was so nice, but seemed nervous and not knowledgeable about the menu and how things are prepared but grateful he went and checked with the chef. However, we thought it was weird to be out of Parmesan cheese that night which was fine but strange. My mom who has milk, egg and gluten ( celiac) allergy ordered the house salad with no egg and the seafood risotto without cheese (which didnt matter because they were out of it). She said their goat cheese tasted like feta and got nervous and pulled it off her plate. My dad who is gluten intolerant ordered the beet salad and pork chops. He said it was okay not the best and a tad bit overcooked. I ordered a caesar salad ( that was untossed for some reason, but maybe because I ordered it gluten free as i am celiac) and the fish of the day that has the macademia sauce and lilikoi burreu blanc sauce. I believe it was a swordfish that night and i could not make any of the flavors from the sauces on it and the fish was fishy that it was hard to eat. Green beans were so overcooked but mashed potatoes were good. We looked at the dessert menu and the one thing i wanted, i thought was label gluten free was not and not interested in the other. I took 2 stars off for the food. The food was okay but i do not think we will be back on any future trips to kauai.

I had a wonderful experience dining here about a month ago! It was the most reasonably priced fancy-ish restaurant in the neighborhood (except for maybe La Spezia). I believe I saw somewhere that it's a popup? I never would have known--the interior was classy and felt very permanent. I tried the goat cheese truffle croquettes, and they were pretty good (but not amazing). The Asian wings were the best I have ever had though, and the chicken Marsala with polenta was incredible! Our server was kind and attentive, and I have nothing bad to say about my experience.

Get the pork chops. So good. Tender and flavorful and something unique. French onion soup was ok. I thought it was a little bland but it wasn't horrible. Little haupia tart dessert was a perfect ending. 4 of them in an order. Very refreshing and tasty. Service at the bar tables was great. Very friendly and helpful. Dining room looked a little more formal. But still everyone looked like resort casual. It's located upstairs by the upstairs bathrooms. Had a nice table by the window in the bar area. Reservations on OpenTable. Just check what days they are closed before you go out Only thing I found odd was they have a credit card fee but the way they characterize it is odd to me. But I think their point is that they don't profit from it.

We had reservations for 6:15 on a Saturday via OpenTable and it was our first time dining here. We highly recommend you consider dining here for your next special occasion or date night. Table at Poipu is a very nice restaurant, definitely on the fine dining spectrum for Kauai. The server, Bailee was very nice she immediately recognized and acknowledged that my wife and I were local guests. She took the time to make small talk and made it feel personal. When taking our appetizer plates she jokingly said "wow someone must be in the industry because you stacked the plates and silverware" which is something my wife and do but that was the first time someone acknowledged it, and yes my wife used to work in a restaurant. The food was amazing we started off with the bacon wrapped scallops and the mushroom risotto goat cheese croquettes. Which were very delicious and decently portioned for the two of us. For our entrees my wife had the blackened fresh catch and I had the ribeye, which had more than enough meat that I couldn't finish it. For dessert we shared the Lilikoi Crème Brûlée which was delicious, we wish we could have more but we were full. We give the Table at Poipu 5/5 stars for the service, food, ambiance and overall experience!

The braised beef- the sauce is delicious

We went to The Table twice on our family vacation in Poipu. The first time four of us went for dinner and the very friendly Jenny was our server. My son in law liked it so much that we decided to go again on the night before our departure for happy hour. Jessa was the happy hour server/bartender. She was very efficient and welcoming. The restaurant is large, clean and has an upscale bar area. Dinner: The pork chops had a delicious glaze on top, the braised beef also came in a delicious sauce. Happy hour: we got the artichoke dip and the asian chicken wings - definitely recommend. Cocktails: Unique choices and great tasting!

Wonderful dinner and great service! What a find! The menu is original, good food and fresh local ingredients. The drinks were perfect!

Chicken wings in a siracha glaze. Very good and not too spicy.

We sat on the patio by the pool and luckily the umbrella was large enough to block the sun! The food all tasted great. The crab dip with 6 or 8 pieces of toasted focaccia was high quality with real crab not surimi. We ordered the flatbread with chicken instead of pork and it was also very good with a nice crispy crust and moist chicken chunks. The wedge salad was a large piece with crisp bacon, candied pecans, grape tomato halves and a tasty dressing. It only needed some red onion to make it perfect. The calamari were crispy but the portion size was too small and the pieces of calamari were too small so the ratio of crust to fish was too high.

The front desk staff guided me to the elevator. This trip was for my birthday. In every reservation when asked about a special occasion, I put birthday. This was the first restaurant to acknowledge my special day. The check-in staff wished me well as did the server. We had been to several restaurants prior to Eating House that didn't say a word. Kudos to the staff for its kindness. The restaurant is open air and very comfortable. It has a rustic feel. We were seated by the window on a cool, rainy night but were perfectly dry the whole evening. On top of that, our server was very helpful in guiding us to order the right amount of food. He brought us a serving of edamame which is always on the house. The shrimp & pork potstickers were very good. I had the ramen which was tasty, filling and a great choice. Our server was terrific to put the spicy oil on the side which made it easier for me to eat. My husband had the butterfish which is the best I have ever tasted. It is a signature dish and always a pleaser. The only real downside is the limited menu. We were told that because of a staff shortage, it wasn't the typical menu. This was disappointing. But they did have the best of the Roy's dishes. So far, it has been the best experience that we have had in Poipu.

PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance) I had no vehicle, so I simply walked from my room. However, there was a nightly $40.00 fee for guests if they parked on the property, and there might've been some free parking along the many nearby roads and streets. Make sure to carefully read any posted signs. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A clean modern spacious layout with plenty of dining tables that offered awesome views of the ocean, while the central rotund bar https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=yLPvmJMAy-YvONhej6PxaA was where I found myself. Plenty of natural lighting everywhere while numerous electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were several muted TVs all around the bar area while a wedding musician played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=EVqFna4AX9T2fX-ik3qTVw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL From start to finish, everything was superb at RumFire Poipu Beach and would definitely return. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $154.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). I used a different credit card for points purposes, but they accepted mine of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

We chose Rumfire, since it was our last evening in Kauai and our anniversary. What a…read moredisappointment! My partner ordered a ribeye steak that was so extremely fatty, he could not cut into it. After deciding to return it, we told the waiter (Greg) and he looked perplexed as-to what he should do. We finally got a different cut of steak, which was brought by a different waiter who sarcastically said "hope this is to your liking". Separately, there was a screaming toddler across from us, who (another) waiter didn't do anything about. Really? We finally asked to be moved, and had to bring our plate of food with us, with no offer to assist (which must have looked odd to the other patrons). This was the most expensive dinner we've ever had, and it was so very disappointing. Try to do better, Rumfire. We leave good ratings when due, however not this time! BTW, we ate here on 5/7/26, Table 45/1, Check 1892. The ambience overlooking the ocean was nice, though.
