We booked this trip randomly from google and were not disappointed. Our captain Gregg was awesome (along with the rest of the staff) and was very knowledgeable about the coastline and Hawaiian history. Snorkeling was great, views were immaculate, and Mai tais were tasty. The boat also looked nicer than other vessels we passed by, but maybe I'm biased due to our great experience. They did an excellent job to make sure we were safe even when waters got really rough at the end of our trip, it was fun to be jumping up and down with the waves and racing another boat. Went on a Zodiak tour of Na'Pali Coast with Kauai Sea Tours. Although the sea was rough, especially as we got closer to Na'Pali, we had a great time. The captain and crew, Ian and Jake, were awesome and very knowledgeable of the area, the culture, and the geography. This made the adventure more than just a ride in a boat, but an overall awesome experience. If I get the chance to go back to Kauai, I will go again in hopes of calmer waters and a little more sunshine. read more

We did the Na Pali Coast Tour and stopped for snorkeling with this tour company yesterday. The staff was absolutely incredible. In a world where most of the service industry has taken a hit after Covid, their team were fabulous. Captain Kauai, Dawn, Ricky and another female (I can't remember her name...I feel bad) we're all not just helpful but extremely attentive and gave amazing service. The day was beautiful (I like to think their positivity and attitude helped, although the weather made it great on its own). We stopped a few times to watch pods of dolphins and even saw some sea turtles. The snorkeling spot was fun although we didn't see many fish but no one could help that. The captain took us close to the coast which we thought was impossible to get that close on this catamaran...but he knew exactly what he was doing and we all felt safe. A few people were a little Sea sick and each one of their team was overly attentive and super caring with the people not feeling well. Even with all of that, they were still walking around bringing drinks and did a great job. For someone that works in the hospitality industry at one point, I really have to give them a shout out. They made our trip that much more memorable. This company is in great hands with this team of people. Our group would recommend this tour highly! read more

Wow! Today could not have been more perfect. We had an anomaly of a sunny day in mid February, Valentine's Day 2020. The crew was informative, skilled, warm and welcoming. We saw whales, dolphins, and snorkeled with some sea turtles! I booked this tour 3 months ago. They initially called and said they were cancelling my reservations. Then they rebook me on the same day at a later time. Then they called me four times to confirm my reservation. Then two hours before my trip that they had rescheduled told me that because of whether they are canceling. So I called other tours and they are still taking people out. No weather related issues. They were just giving me a BS excuse for canceling. I feel like they were trying to cancel my reservation for the past 4 days. They probably over booked. Very bad customer service. Ruined our vacation. My kids were looking forward to it. Went out yesterday for a dinner cruise and couldn't have asked for a better captain and crew! Captain Kauai is such a talented man, manuvered the boat into places that put us all in awe! We saw Ray's, Turtles, dolphins and whales and the sea was in epic form. Captain Kauai narrated most of the trip so people knew what they were viewing. We have been on tours before and still picked up new information from him! The crew was on point! Always there to get you a drink a snack, take your picture, share stories or help you navigate walking on the boat. I was feeling a bit queezy at dinner time and they were sweet enough to box up my dinner so I could eat it once on land. I didn't expect that at all. The dinner was good, teriyaki chicken, green salad, fruit salad, mixed veggies, rolls, rice and cookies for dessert. Drinks were offered all through the ride. Pop, juice, wine and Mai Tia's that we're actually pretty darn good for on a boat! We also got to see a movie being filmed above us. Two helicopters were super close over head. It was cool for a minute, but then got irritating since they were purposely going close to rock cliffs and pushing dust and little rocks on to our boat. And they got so load it was hard to hear the captain talk over his microphone. Also I am sure it made everyone a bit nervous, if the helicopter crashed it would have been over our heads. They could have waited until the captain was done in the area doing the tour since the boat was in position first. But the Captain did an amazing job working around it. He was probably the best we had ever sailed with! Long story short epic day and everything perfect from reservation staff, boat, crew and Captain Kauai!! One of the main reasons for visiting Kauai was to see the Na Pali coast. Upon realizing we could not travel to the coast on foot or by car I sought other alternatives to still be able to view the Na Pali coast. After reading many positive reviews of Kauai Sea Tours, I chose to book their Na Pali Sightsee Sunset Dinner Cruise. No where on their website is there a disclaimer stating that they will not go to the Na Pali if the seas are too rough. My boyfriend and I were under the impression we were going to see the Na Pali, the whole reason we booked the cruise, until we heard our captain state determinedly that he was not going to the Na Pali he was taking his passengers whale watching. We heard him say all of this very unprofessionally in a local store before we checked into the cruise. The one positive I would like to make note of was the rest of the crew was very helpful in keeping beverages and refreshments in our hands the entire cruise and even delivered our dinner to us so it wouldn't fly away or spill. My wife and I did the dinner cruise along the Na Pali coast. The captain is a very personable and easy going guy. You can tell he loves being out on the water. The crew were not swashbucklers nor a motley bunch of renegades ready to send you off the plank. They made sure everyone's needs were met including those who were brave and still managed to chum the waters. The trip is a great way to see the side of the island that one cannot simply drive to. The views are spectacular. We stopped to watch the pomeranians of the ocean.... the spinner dolphin. The captain explained every nook and cranny of the mountainous coast of the Na Pali. We did the Na Pali beach landing tour in the raft and had the best time! CJ, our guide, was from Kauai and very knowledgeable about the history and culture. He was personable and had a great attitude. Our captain, Ian, was fun, skilled, and an excellent DJ. The water was a bit rough and he managed to get us into caves and navigate the swells skillfully. We had an amazing sunset sightseeing tour with Kauai Sea Tours! The staff was incredible and super attentive. They served us the entire time and made it really fun! Captain Sky and his crew on the Lucky Lady were absolutely phenomenal! They took such great care of us while taking us up and down the Na Pali coast, it was truly a bucket list experience. The snorkeling was not the best I've experienced, but we did see a sea turtle and several fish. On the cruise itself we got to observe hundreds of spinner dolphins, and even a monk seal! We did the Napali coast boat tour with Captain Drake and CJ, and it was absolutely the best excursion that we have ever done. Captain Drake shared much interesting history and his own experiences on the Napali Coast. Seeing the coast from the sea was absolutely breathtaking. We were able to check out sea caves (which were incredible), and I could tell that our safety was an absolute priority the entire time. We saw tons of dolphins (while maintaining a respectful distance) and rainbows everywhere! I could not recommend this excursion more, and I encourage you to sign up with Captain Drake and CJ because they were wonderful. read more

Took us snorkeling. BJ played great music. He obviously loves what he does and it shows. Viewing the Na Pali coast by sea is a must and since we were joined by my niece and her husband this time, we decided to try the snorkel catamaran trip rather than our usual zodiac. This place is all bad and no good. We booked the tour a few days before and were excited about going. After a lot of debating we decided on the adventurous raft over the catamaran. We liked the idea of beaching on NaPali and snorkeling off the coast. We knew about their cancelation policy -- During high surf they are unable to beach the raft. So we knew the risk going into it. However,when I called to reserve, the lady over the phone never disclosed that the rafts have not been beaching for the past few days. I think this was very dishonest on their part. Had we known about this, we would have reserved our seats on the catamaran instead. When we got there, one of the crew members said that the raft trip was canceled due to high surf and that we can go back inside and get our the refund. However the lady in the office said that the trip was not canceled. She proceeded to get the phone with the captain. It was pretty obvious that there is major disconnect between the crew and office staff. Very unorganized!!! If you do decide to go with this company, please please please, ask them if the raft has been able to beach. Otherwise stick to the catamaran. read more

This was a beautiful day. I was disappointed with the snorkeling portion. Not much to sea where we were. The Nepali coast was stunning. The food was terrific and the crew were so friendly! There was lots of narration on the way out, but just music on the way back. The trip is long. I would have loved to maybe stop and snorkel again on the way home to break up the long boat ride. Best day ever! Our family of 7 booked this and it was a rainy day but we hoped for the best. We were placed on a raft (zodiac type inflatable boat) with another family and 2 couples. It rained hard as we made our way around the points toward Na Pali. It is something like 72 miles round trip and there can be some wave pounding as you sit on the inflated tube. so keep that in mind if you have physical discomforts. We had a father/son captain and crew and they were amazing showing us many attractions that someone else could have just zipped by. The crew, natural beauty, caves and waterfalls made this a truly memorable nature trip. read more

We did the sunset cruise on the catamaran! Great crew, beautiful view! We unfortunately had to turn around early because irresponsible parents brought a 2 1/2 little girl on the boat. Kept her below deck, and she obviously got sea sick and threw up everywhere. Then started freaking out that her child needed medical attention and called 911. Poor little girl was just sea sick, but otherwise totally fine. Not to mention the whole time this was happening, the family completely forgot about their other little daughter who was maybe 6-7 years old? She was just sitting by herself on the boat with no supervision. Long story short, Keep the little ones home. Do something more age appropriate for them. The crew has zero control over the seas. We hit rough waters but the captain gave us all plenty of heads up to move to back of the boat if you didn't want to get wet and handled the boat well in the swells! The deck hand crew were THE BEST! Between cleaning up the vomit and trying to calm the crazy mom down, they made sure everyone was taken care of. We would 100% book again! read more

We did the 5 1/2 Nā Pali coast tour with snorkeling on Apr. 16th. The weather was definitely not ideal as the Captain warned us repeatedly. I was unfortunately the one who got really sick during the tour. Yes I did take dramamine before the tour. Rest of my family still had fun and was able to enjoy the breakfast and lunch. The crew was incredible! They were so helpful, knowledgeable and extremely kind. They went out of their way to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves and did their best to comfort those who became sick. While I was not feeling, the crew kept providing me fresh bucket and water. They also offered me to lay down on covered bench to sleep and put cold/wet towel on my forehead to make me feel better. I really appreciate that! I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Kauai. Just make sure you know the ride will be rough so take dramamine. read more

This review is for the day raft tour along the Na Pali Coast Freaking Good Times. This was by far the best boat trip I've ever taken and most definitely the highlight of our time in Kauai. Captain Manu was funny, informative, and an expert captain. Manu consciously went near caves under rough conditions and part of me thought I was never going to make it back to land but Manu steered the boat with no problems at all. Apart from the beautiful Na Pali coast, we were able to ride along dolphins and even got to stop a few times and see 3 whales at a distance of no more than 50 yards away and even had one swimming about 20 yards across from us. The lunch was decent and the snorkeling spot was pretty sweet. The trip didn't feel too long and it didn't feel too short. I must send out this warning though, DO NOT go on this trip if you have any sort of back problems; even as a 22 year old, my back was getting pretty sore from holding on to the raft especially when the water got choppy. Overall it was an excellent trip and this definitely is a must do if you're visiting Kauai. read more

Went on one of the rigid hull rafts to the Na Pali coast with Kevin and Jamie. We were expecting a nice smooth ride, boy we were surprised!! We started of by surfing huge waves in the raft, seeing hundreds of dolphins and turtles. We went inside caves and a giant blow hole ( I forgot it's name) that you would not be able to get inside if you were on a catamaran. Kevin and Jamie were full of information telling us the Hawaiian tales. We stopped for an hour or so to snorkel and have lunch. On the way back we had our insides re arranged due to choppy seas, it was quiet an adrenalin rush.. Not for the faint of heart!!!! Best thing we did on the island. Would recommend it strongly.. Definitely a MUST if you get the opportunity! We did this in our trip 2 weeks ago and did the catamaran. It's a 5 hour tour, and for some reason the night before, the song of Gilligan's Island was stuck in my head. "... passengers set sail that day for a three hour tour..." My brother helped arrange so we had no idea what to expect. We got there at 7am for check in. It's a barefoot cruise, so leave your shoes on land. Continental Breakfast, can't complain about that. They had coffee and Juice along with some pastries. Snorkeling was awesome, even overcast, the water was still nice. Saw some great fish, great reef and even a honu from a distance. Then off to tour the Island. Great views of Na'pali coast, which can only be viewed by sea or by air. Whale's and dolphins were being extremely playful and showing off their skills. Dolphin's were right along the catamaran. Captain and crew were amazing! Always willing to take our pictures, and I even saw the Captain let some folks take the wheel for a great picture opportunity. Bathrooms are available on the ship and easy to change after snorkeling. We got the two for one deal, It can be a bit pricey, about $200 per without it. But honestly, it was worth it. The spectacular views you can't see on foot, being out on the ocean, swimming with the fish and seeing the wild of the sea have fun was priceless. Only bad thing, weather, a bit overcast and strong waves so we couldn't get too close to many of the caves. Apparently Mother Nature has it's own plan. At least no rain and the sun came out. read more

Reality: 60+ people cramped on pretty worn, certainly uncomfortable boat. The food was really gross, so come full or play to eat soon after. The good: great views and plenty of dolphins! read more

You will not regret it, except for some scraped up knuckles and sore bum. Sea turtles, spinner dolphins, sea caves, old fishing village, tropical fish...THIS was the Hawaii experience I was wanting. There are two options for visiting the Napali Coast through this company: 1. Catamaran 2. Ocean raft. We are the adventurous type and chose the ocean raft because of the ability to go into the sea caves and the beach landing. Talk about an exhilarating adventure! Zooming along the Napali Coast in a zodiak-type boat was quite fun. The Napali Coast provided beautiful scenery and good weather for us on the trip. The trip left from Port Allen and went to within a couple of miles of Kee Beach on the north side of the island. We were able to get into the caves with the boat on this trip (can't do that on the catamaran). We saw several sea turtles along the way as well as some spinner dolphins on the way back. The snorkeling was just okay because of the weather. Our guides were knowledgeable and provided a lot of history and stories about the Napali Coast. They made an effort to connect with all on the boat and create a family-like atmosphere. They were responsive to the group's needs and wants. What is included: mask & snorkel/fins, picnic lunch, dry-bags to keep your items from getting wet, fun, history lessons, beautiful scenery What to bring: water shoes, sunblock(remember to re-apply), water-proof camera, light jacket for the way back, sunglasses, an appetite for adventure When we return to Kauai, we will most likely come back and take the catamaran trip. TIP: if you are going to do things like Princeville Ranch Adventures, a helicopter tour, or tour the Napali Coast...as soon as you arrive in Lihue and leave the airport, head to COSTCO and look for the gift card kiosk over by the pharmacy.
