Coco made our trip enjoyable from booking to final drop off. She provided a variety of options and listened to what we wanted out of our tour. She sent great reminder texts prior to departure, and she even made a day of pivot when my mom decided to join our tour. I was thrilled when Coco surprised us as our tour guide! She brought us flowers for our hair when she arrived and spent time at each of the stops regaling us with a little bit of history and a little bit of whimsy. We did the 6 hour tour of south and east Kauai: history, legends, & waterfalls. I highly recommend doing this on the beginning of your trip to get your bearings of the island. Kauai is pretty small, so once you've gone on this tour, you'll get a good idea of what there is to explore. The tour is quite comprehensive, & you get to see a lot of the cool sites. Plus, Coco is super knowledgeable & will tell you all the cool beaches, good eats, where to see turtles, etc. Coco is super sweet & very funny. I took the Kauai Highlights tour as a solo traveler and thoroughly enjoyed it. Coco Maria is fun and attentive to all the guests on her tour. She is knowledgeable and gives details along the way about everything you see that I found interesting and informative. She points out things that I would have not seen myself. She offers to take pictures of you with your smartphone and makes sure everyone gets a chance to see the amazing views at each stop. She knows the island very well - back ins, foods, and all that stuff. If you have no idea what to do or want to plan your own days and not be on the events schedule, their schedule--I would recommend this as your first day so you can get an idea of what to do. And be on your schedule. You will enjoy this tour! I would do this again. But I will book in advance and do a private tour so I can see the waterfalls. Unfortunately, I didn't see the waterfalls. On our first trip to Kauai, we thought it would be a good idea to do a van tour early during our 2 weeks, to get a lay of the land early. I chose Kauai Soul Travel based on some feedback from our AAA travel agent. Turned out to be the right choice. Our guide, Coco Marie (also the owner) was awesome. She is very knowledgeable of the island, and entertaining in the way she shares it. Our tour started off a little rocky, when one individual took offense to the seat she was given (even though the guy in the front seat offered repeatedly to switch with her), but Coco dealt with it in a very professional manner, and by the time we all loaded up and made it to our first stop, everything was pretty much smoothed over and everyone seemed to be enjoying the tour. My favorite stop was probably Lydgate Beach, but there were many others which were close seconds. The tour has a nice pace to it, the bathroom breaks are frequent enough, and the van seating seemed comfortable to me. I was also surprised how easily we got from the middle of the island, to the south side and then the east side. The length of the tour seems just about right. I'm sure there are many options for this kind of tour, but I highly recommend giving the business to an entrepreneur like Coco. She was great. read more

My. I wish I could package Coco Maria up and have her as my guide in the rest of my life. I would then become clever, informed, always armed with tidbits of interesting facts at dinner parties, and in the know of the best off-the-beaten trail hangouts and restaurants. We just finished the most WONDERFUL tour of the island of Kauai. We met our tour guide in Kapaa town and from that point on our day was relaxing and very interesting. This is our fourth time on the island and have seen quite a lot but Coco brought us to places that we wouldn't have stopped, and each stop she gave us history, legend, Hawaiian tales that made those places memorable and fun. Breathtaking tour of Da Westside! Coco is one of a kind and we feel so blessed to have met her! Her knowledge of the island, rich history and everything in between was incredible.
