I went to Mavis to have my tires rotated. They did not rotate them but both the mechanic and the person at the desk swore that they did the work. The left front tire was still in the same place as before. I know because that rim looks different than the others. Guess they thought that because I'm old and female that I must also be stupid. When this place was Kauffman Tire, I received A+ Service. I recently bought two rear tires and had all four balanced. I also got an alignment. Well, the alignment wasn't right, so I returned the next day to have it corrected. I came back the day after because the wheels were bouncing on the interstate. I explained that the wheels were not that bad before they balanced them, but the lady insisted the problem was my shocks because I had over 92500 miles and no suspension work. I was not convinced that the problem was my suspension, so I went to the dealer. They concluded the balance was not done correctly, so they removed the weights and balanced the tires. It's a smooth ride once again, but I had to pay twice for my wheels to get balanced correctly. I'll have to find another wheel place from now on and it won't be Mavis read more

Had a reservation for 10:00am to get 4 tires installed. My truck didn't get pulled into the garage until 12:30. About an hour later I was notified that 1 of my 4 tires wasn't there and wouldn't arrive until the next day. I asked to leave with my truck and my old tires and they said they were already installing the new tires they had on hand. I was then told that I would receive a discount for my troubles. My original quote was for 546.92 for 4 tires priced at 112.50 each with balancing and installation fees. I paid a 25 dollar deposit to make the reservation that obviously held nothing because my time wasn't saved by doing it and my tires were not there either. My final cost was 451.58 for the 3 tires with installation and balancing fees. Try to find somewhere else. read more

Charge for services that did not get done. came in for alignment and oil change truck riding fine. 2700$ dollars later had to have it towed to another mechanic. Took cv axle apart and could not put it back together and was not honest about what went wrong and asked me to pay over the phone because I have no vehicle now to go up there . when I got my receipt, they put on that the CV axle was hanging prior to me coming in, which was a lie. I took a picture of it before they worked on it. And they were putting new CV axles on old inner shaft pins, which it's recommended to replace the inner shaft pins with new CV axles so that it will last. funny thing is they're not allowed to touch an inner shaft pins per policy or work on it so therefore they should not even be able allowed to work on a CV axle that is connected to the transmission four-wheel-drive. If they cant replaced the inner pen, how could they change the CV axles the right way And do the job the right way. definitely negligence here. read more

Customers beware: Customers of Mavis Tire and brake in Pooler ga on the Pooler Parkway take note: I could not leave feedback because I did not let them perform the work but here is what I experienced this past week. On tuesday my car decided to throw the serpentine belt off while going to the St joes offices down the road from Mavis. I called and they were most helpful at first knowing I was in a spot and needed it fixed asap. I left the car with them overnight and called the next day after lunch because they still had not called me with a status on what it would cost to repair my car. I spoke with the young man that evaluated my car. I was told it would cost $721 to repair the pulleys and the replace the belt. I accused them of price gouging, which they promptly denied. But take note... I googled what it should cost me and found out that, at most, 250-300 dollars is average, including parts. I decided to pick up my car and perfom the work myself, which I was hoping to avoid. The Parts cost me $89 for the kit with all the pulleys, tensioner and the belt included. It took me just over an hour to complete the repairs myself. With that said, Mavis was going to charge me OVER $600 AN HOUR to repair my car. I consider that price gouging at its finest. They may be good for tires but their mechanic prices are way out of line. I will not go back to another Mavis tires for anything in the future. No matter how big of a hurry or how i lazy I may be. Just for the record since I am sending this to them also, I own the blue dodge journey they tried to screw me with. read more

The waiting time is ridiculous, their employees are rude and treat you as if they were doing you a favor, they forget that customers pay for this, and we deserve excellent service. Needed tires for our new truck. We could have looked around but we didn't need to. They had the right tire and their prices were affordable. Most of all their receptionist were very friendly. I also spoke with a person from the store the day before confirming the services to be performed. When I arrived today at 12:45, the store employee did not have record of my appointment and could not perform services until 5:00 that day. I took my business to another place. read more

We heard Great things from google about this establishment but when we got in it's a whole different experience. To start off no one's wearing a mask and customer service was not good. We just had a simple nail in our tire and they denied us. It would be a five minute service but they said that there was no room. He sent us to another establishment but they also denied us and the next one that we went to. For something that he could've fixed in one or two minutes. He said it was really leaking a lot and that we had to get help, but he still denied us. We're also out of state travelers and still had 2 1/2 hours to go and he left us stranded. This place SUCKS. When you call it goes to a call center, not the specific location. They told us we'd be "in and out" without even knowing what the actual wait was at the specific location. When we got to the location, they said 30-45 mins. It's been an hour and 45 mins and still not done. The call center needs to get their act together. They SUCK. Other customers in lobby are complaining of same thing. Do not use them. If I could give them negative stars, I would. Horrible experience. read more

This service shop did a great job with my car. I went in after hearing a noise with my tire and they were able to diagnose the issue right away. Even the guy at the front, Ashton was she to explain what was going on with my car to help me understand the necessary repairs. I ended up having new shocks and struts installed, and the price was reasonable. They were able to give me a nice coupon/discount when I talked to them. I will never allow these people to work on any of my vehicles. I'll go 200 miles out of the way to take them elsewhere. Driving down I-95, my trailer (dual axle) blew a tire, about 6 miles away from I-16. Took I-16 to Pooler, Savannah Tire. They didn't have the correct tire, but were nice enough to call Kauffman Tire in Pooler. I was told they have the correct tire. I then drove over.......hoping one tire would be enough to hold the old truck and not cause another blow out. After arriving, at Kauffman, I waited for literally 12 minutes......while the girl behind the counter flirted with the young service man. After 12 minutes, she stated "oh, let me get your receipt." Once the military man left, she blamed the amount of time on her counterpart going to lunch. Finally, I explained that Savannah Tire called about a trailer tire, that they stocked. She stated that she only looked in the system but never put eyes on the tires. She went on to explain, the system is usually wrong. Finally she went to the back and found the tire. She asked where the tire was. I explained the blow out issue and that the tire was on the trailer.....15 feet outside the garage door. She explained that I had to take the tire off the trailer, before they could change it. I again informed her, it was just outside the back door. Still nothing. Spoke with the manager.......service manager (Guess he was manager when the real one isn't there). He reiterated, the tire has to be off the trailer. Again, I explained, I had a blow out and didn't have any tools.....and it was just out the back door. Finally, I said great, just let me borough a jack and wrench. I was told they would not even do that. After several more minutes of discussion, I finally said the hell with it and left. These people are in serious need of customer service training. read more

AVOID. This shop is a place where you talk to someone who knows nothing about cars, and who cannot explain what was done to your car. They charge full price for parts that may not have been required for an effective repair. And there are openly dishonest. My daughter brought her car tot his shop. It was a bad decision i was unaware of ahead of time. She called after spending almost $900 for two front tires, front brakes, and an alignment. If you think this could be a reasonable price for the listed work, consider the tires they sold her were only $60 each. New calipers, rotors and pads. Car pulled hard right after initial pickup and after one return visit for the issue. Excuses for car pulling hard right after alignment: May need struts; Road excessively slanted; All roads crowned; Temperature was cold when first done; Law mandates cars pull right for safety, and; Steering wheel sensor requires replacement by dealer. Whew, every BS reason telling the customer to buzz off. I felt it likely one of the cheap tires they sold her, so switched fronts to rear and issue solved. My advice don't waist your money and go somewhere! I am only giving a one star because the employees that I spoke to are polite and the manager is willing to issue a refund, but as far as the service goes I wouldn't send my wort enemy there. I took my car in for four brand new tires and a four wheel alignment. I dropped my car off at 9 am and asked if they thought it would be done by the time I got off work, I was told it would most likely be done. I get there and my car was not done, I waited for another hour for it to be done. When I left my front end alignment was worse than when I took it in and my rear end had a bounce to it. I took it back the next day and spend another 4 hours for them fix what they had done. After being told my front end alignment was fixed and my tires were re balanced there is still a bounce and my front end is still out of alignment. I am taking it to somewhere else which I do have to say when I spoke to the manager at mavis and told him what was going on and that we weren't bringing it back to them he said he will give us part of our money back. I don't expect all of it back because the tires are good. I will say this though listen to the person at the sales desk when you go to leave he will say I'll see you again, which was true. read more

I am giving a 0 for the rating because I dropped my car off at 10 am this morning for a oil change. I was told it would be about 3 hours. I called after 4 hours because i had not heard anything back and they said I was third in line. I then called back 2 hours after that and I was 2nd in line. Went and pick up my car after 6 and a half hours and my car had not been moved a single bit. They did not complete my oil change, just wasted my time. These guys are really friendly and they took care of me without charging me an arm and a leg. One of their guys overheard me saying that my cell phone was almost dead and went to his locker and brought me a charger to use while he put tires on my van. I mistakenly took my Lexus suv to have a quick oil change done while my husband was out of town. Unfortunately after driving the car for two weeks I ended up at a competitors shop stating that the oil may NOT have completely drained due to dark color and was causing higher gas usage than normal. So very disappointed in the lack of integrity of this company. Buyer beware! They hurried my through after telling me that I needed new struts and the price was well over 1500.00. I had to call my husband out of town at work to talk to Kauffman rep. And tell them we just wanted an oil change. Poor customer service. read more

I went to Mavis Tires at this location on 4/2/23 to get a price quote for Bridgestone tires for my 4Runner. I specifically asked for Bridgestone tires and gave the paperwork from the Toyota Dealership with the exact numbers of the tires I needed. I was quoted a price of $996+tax for the tires. Since this was going to be about $200 cheaper than the dealership's price, I decided to go with Mavis. I called back and made the appointment for Bridgestone tires. Took my car for the appointment at 10:00 am on Friday, April 7th expecting to get the Bridgestone tires I made the appointment for. My car was there ALL day, and I did not get my car until around 6:00 pm when they were closing, which I did not receive a phone call that it was finished, I just happened to catch an Uber back to check. When I left, I noticed I had Mavis tires. That was not what I dropped off my car expecting to get. I went back the next morning at opening and explained the situation. Both workers at the front desk were very nonchalant and said they didn't know what happened. I was then told to get the Bridgestone tires, I would have to pay the difference of $374. That would make the tires end up being more than the dealership! Also, the tires would have to be ordered since they are not in stock. Now, I'm having to take off work to take my car back to get the correct tires put on AND I'm having to pay more than what was originally quoted for my Bridgestone tires AND more than the dealership. What I am suspecting happened is my tires were not ordered when I made the appointment, and since they had my car all day, they just put on the Mavis tires. I further suspect this because when I called for a status update at 3:00 pm, the worker told me there was a 2 hour delay waiting on parts. What I suspect is they were waiting on my tires, which did not come, so they just threw on the Mavis tires. I'm highly dissatisfied! The entire experience was, and continues to be an inconvenience! I would not recommend! They seem to be deceptive and then not willing to fix their mistakes. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! read more

I have been there several times since it opened due to it being next to my office. When it first opened, it was fantastic. They definitely were cheaper and better service than Savannah Tire. The last time I had service done, it was more expensive than Savannah Tire, I was told the car was ready and I waited 2 hours in the lobby before it was actually ready. I then took my car in this morning to simply have the oil changed. I stood at the desk for 15 minutes. The guy in the garage area looked at me 3 times and never had anyone come check me in. No peaking his head in the door saying "someone will be with you momentarily." Nothing. I walked out and will never darken their doorstep again. read more

They said corporate was strict on their hours. However, the team in Kauffman went above and beyond. They help me and I bought two new tires and alignment and rotation. Sam's Club tried to balance my tires five times and it never worked. I took it here and it didn't work. My truck kept bouncing, so I took it back a second time. They discovered that the tires were warped, and it wasn't the fault of either Sam's Club or them. They are very courteous and thoughtful. I do wish that one of them would've caught it the first time, but at least I didn't have to go back five times like I did Sam's Club and they never figured out what was wrong. read more

The WORST experience I have ever had with a tire shop in my life so far. I asked for a quote on a coil over / new wheel install on my vehicle and the manager said "well let us give the vehicle a inspection and we will let you know". I gave them my keys and did not hear from them for the next 5 hours. I went to the shop to find out that they decided to put the coils on the car without giving me a quote and without having me agree to a price, when I confronted the manager about this his words were " You told me to put them on" and then tried to charge me over $800 for the labor that i did not ask them to do. Thank god i got there when i did because they were about to put my new wheels on my old tires when i had bought new tires at another shop and was awaiting them to be shipped. ( All of this was told to him before the installation). By the time i confronted him about the situation the shop was closing and they wouldn't let me take my car home without paying but i refused none the less. I come back the next day and they give me my car back charge free but when they gave me my wheels back one of them had a dent on them and when i confronted the mechanic about this his response was " it came in like that" ,even though the all the wheels that were given were still in the boxes , and proceeded to kick me out the shop telling me never to come back. so after all this i tried to have them pay for my damaged wheel only for them to dodge calls and refer me to the regional manager who was so conveniently on "vacation". Basically these people will try to take advantage of you, damage any aftermarket part you bring to them and add labor that you didn't ask for, STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR!!!! read more
