I prefer to order off the iPad rather than pulling from the belt unless I'm too hungry to wait.. their rice ratio was pretty good so not too much rice. The cucumber salad was pretty good. And I always ordered the mochhi ice cream for dessert. Things I didn't like: They would always try and squeeze me at the counter so close to next person- like no personal space. We have been waiting a long time for them to open, and we are excited to try them for lunch on a Saturday Afternoon. They use the waitlist app to help manage wait times, and I really appreciate that! Our overall wait was about 15 minutes for a party of 6. Right off the bat, there is a console for you to order special items, no other menu. So hopefully your party sitting on the outside has good eyes, and the poor person sitting by the console and conveyor are basically on call. Just something to think about if you have kids (so don't sit the toddler inside like we normally would). They charge flat rate per plate off the conveyor, the items circle continuously. My only concern is really not knowing what is in some of the fancier rolls (which is important because we have shellfish allergy - epipen level). They were sadly out of karaage and chicken miso, so my husband who cannot eat pork was very limited. The teriyaki chicken we ordered was moist and cooked pretty well. The miso soup? We had never been so the waitress explained you can pick up anything you like off the conveyor belts that constantly run beside your table. Then you can order additional speciality items that are brought to you by train that's on a track above the conveyor belt. Drinks are delivered by a robot. It was such a cool experience. I was super excited to come try this place out! My hubby and I came around 11:30am on a Tuesday and were greeted and seated immediately. There were about 8-9 other tables already and many people came over the course of our stay. I could tell they are popular and busy. Our attendant came and asked if we've been there before, when we told him no he kindly explained how everything works. He showed us how to use the tablet to order items and explained the conveyer belt. Each plate from the conveyer belt is $3.35. As the belt went around, items were on covered plates and the tagged showed what was on the plates that followed. The sushi items had 3 pieces on each plate. We ordered our drinks from the tablet and it was delivered by a robot!! Other items ordered from the tablet were delivered by a train that was above the conveyer belt. It was such a fun and cool dining experience! The ONLY reason they got 4 stars and not 5 from me is because the tuna tasted awful. I got tuna nigiri and the pieces were rubbery and the flavor was not of tuna. I was really disappointed. Also, I'm a wasabi fanatic--the wasabi was paste and it was prepackaged like ketchup or soy sauce packets. YUCK. It came out looking like a green goo and when I ate it, it gave a different stronger burn to the inside of my mouth. I'll bring my own wasabi in the future. BE WARNED: The crème brûlée is NOT what you think it is. It is definitely more like the Asian egg desert and they just added the flambé sugar on top. It's more of an egg pudding. Went in to try out their ramen and sushi since I'm a fan of both and I will say I was not disappointed. I initially ordered the tonkotsu ramen, and it was really good. The plates of sushi from the conveyor, which are $3.35 apiece, range from one to three pieces per plate, depending on the type of roll. If you crave something off menu that does not come around on the conveyor, like taiyaki, it will be delivered via the monorail tram above the conveyor. This was fun as you get to see what all is offered! It was well lit and simply decorated, which was nice as it didn't pull away from the experience. Service was great; the waitress was knowledgeable and efficiently explained how to order from the touch screen at your seat.
