    Thai Chili Roll (on left)

My wife and I recently were in the mood for some sushi and decided to stop into Akashi. We started with two sushi rolls--a Tropical Roll and a Thai Chili Roll--that were delicious. Each bite was perfectly balanced with fresh ingredients and bold flavors that left us impressed To complement the sushi, we had the Gyoza (pork dumplings), which were crisp on the outside and tender, flavorful on the inside--a great way to kick off the meal For the main event, we went with the Chicken Dolsot Bibimbap and the Beef Dolsot Bibimbap, and both were outstanding. The sizzling stone bowls added a delightful crispy texture to the rice, and the flavors of the perfectly seasoned meats, fresh vegetables, and savory sauces were spot-on From start to finish, Akashi delivered a memorable dining experience with excellent food and great attention to detail. It's a place we'll gladly return to again!

I honestly almost did not go in because there were no cars in the parking lot...after finishing this meal....I am very shocked that this place isn't hyped up. This place is so underrated definitely coming back and then the customer service was 100 out of 10. Everything was fresh! It feels intimate and cozy inside.

Wanted sushi after 9pm and most spots were closed but Akashi came thru being open til 10! It's been years since I've been here but they're fantastic. We had: Green tea Gyoza delish as always White Dragon roll love this; white tuna and shrimp tempura with cream cheese Butterfly roll half Rainbow which was so fresh and half regular dragon which was nice and crispy Finished with some mochi red bean, green tea, and the best flavor was mango! Total was only $50... not bad at all for the amazing quality!

This is my number 1 go to place for sushi! They have great food and the service is wonderful too!

We had lunch here today after touring the AF Museum. It's good sushi. We started with the spring roll which is a vegetable roll. It came with a yummy sauce and we both liked it. I had the lunch spicy rolls. They included a miso soup and small salad with a very light citrus dressing. The 3 spicy rolls tasted very good - but - spicy tuna was processed mushy and the shrimp roll was tempera. My daughter had chirashi bowl and she really liked it. We will be back, I'd really like to try other things!

So much improvement in the past year or two. I went into do dine-in recently and got the shokado bento box. I had a huge variety of food to eat and it was all great. The sashimi was fresh tasting and high quality, with it being on the fattier side. And the sushi was good too. I really liked the tempura pieces with the shrimp and the vegetables. I also liked the teriyaki chicken a lot, with it being cut into small pieces. The pickles were also really good to taste with the bento box. This also came with the miso and the ginger dressing salad as appetizers, which was nice during the wait. The wait was very quick, and the service was attentive. The other people in my group were also very happy with their food. The potato fritter thing was great, and had a nice flavor inside. I thought the pork katsu was nice and crispy and the curry tasted good too. I do remember some times I took takeout and their rolls, though expensive, are worth it with the types of toppings. Strong recommend - best Japanese food I've had in Dayton. (not sure about the korean dishes, those may be more suspect, though I haven't tried them.)

    Tonkatsu Ramen

Great little find. Sushi was super good and fresh. The gentlemen behind the counter were friendly and nice. The older guy looked like he had 200-years experience and the young guy he was training is learning a lot as the Akashi roll was top-notch! Ramen was good. Perfect noodle texture and delicious broth. Only complaint was that I would have liked more than a postage-stamp sized piece of Nori and more than two thin slices of pork. Pork was cut expertly thin and super fatty! Great mouthfeel and umami.

Service was perfect, greeted right away, friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The sushi presentation was beautiful with a lot of attention to the details. Minimal rice, just enough to surround the filling and hold together, not too much to overpower the texture. All three rolls were different with unique flavors and textures. The ones with multiple fish selections on them were done perfectly balanced with enough of each to taste them all. We also got the crab rangoon which were the sweetest little pillows filled with a creamy crab flavored goodness. For our return dinner visit we again got sushi and crab rangoon but also got two entrees so we'd have leftovers the next day for traveling. The fried rice isn't quite what we expected but the shrimp and beef were cooked perfectly and the flavors were spot on. I highly recommend Ozu852, especially for sushi, and will definitely return when in the area.

We love sushi - travel all the way to columbus just to have some from the unofficial "japantown" at kenny center Upon arrival at 2 pm, not super busy but the store appeared bright and well decorated. We were directed to pick our preferred seating. Menus were brough quickly, drink orders we taken and brought out quickly. Sprites, came with a cup of ice. This was were it went downhill. My husband is allergic to shellfish, and we eat out understanding there is a chance of cross contamination based on what we order. He had a mild reaction - we determined his reaction was from the glass with ice, which indicates it was not washed well. Not a good sign... We ordered house lo mein, king salmon nigiri, tuna nigiri, tuna roll, and one chicken and vegetable hibachi. Sushi? The rice was long grain and unseasoned... it fell apart as my husband picked it up. The fish was.. ok.. not wowed. Even the king salmon was...just salmon and not anything amazing. My tuna roll never made it. My husband said this was the first time he had bitter ginger... he spat that back out - ginger is suppose to be a palate cleanser... Lo mein? Was ok. It was not greasy, which is what I usually encounter. Noodles were soft, but ok. Flavor.. lacking.. and there was a notcieable amount of sauce at the bottom.. so it was too runny. The hiabachi? The fried rice, saddest fries rice ever. It was hard middle and .. flavor was offputting.. this is coming from a girl that was raised to eat rice everyday in many forms. I love durian, and this rice manage to offput me.... the flavor was just weird. The hibachi chicken and veggies were the best part..sauce flavor was great and the veggies were cooked very well and chicken was juicy. So overall... would not recommend due to cleanliness (based on contact contamination from a cup) and... food was just meh

One member of our group prefers their steak well done and remarked that it was perfect while still being tender! We ordered house sake served cold; one bottle provides about eight shot glasses worth. The service was excellent--our waitress was attentive and friendly. The chef was entertaining, although a bit quiet. The ambiance was nice, with the lights slightly dimmed and several hibachi grills in the dining area. However, none of the other parties disturbed us, as each group seemed contained at their table without causing any noise disruption. They also offer birthday celebrations with a flaming candle and a slice of cheesecake! Overall, it was a good experience, and we plan to return
