We had not been to Atlanta in over three years. We decided to make a full vacation out of the Labor Day weekend. As is our custom, we competed breakfast at our hotel and decided to walk Lenox. While much of what we saw was familiar, some things stood in stark relief. The unmistakable green and gold of the ROLEX marquis immediately drew us in. We were dressed very casually as vacation is our time to unwind. Life in the nation's capitol, while thrilling, carries a formality from which one is well served to escape from time to time. That said, we were warmly greeted when we entered the Rolex pavilion of Mayors. George Avilas approached my wife and I as we clearly exhibited some disorientation at the beautifully appointed showroom. We were not looking to make a purchase this day but we gently asked if we might get our watches cleaned. With a generous extension of his hand, George accepted my 126600 50th anniversary Seadweller and my wife's diamond marker two tone Datejust. While George was bringing renewed luster to our watches, Willis Callwood Jr. helped us look at some of the more interesting pieces in the display case. I tried on a diamond marker Day Date and found the watch surprisingly well-proportioned on my 8" wrist; the piece felt very natural on my wrist. It sat discreetly close without seeming puny. My wife also identified the Platinum Day Date and it was everything one would expect an apex expression of Rolex's tirelessly elegant design philosophy to be. We felt completely at ease with both George and Willis. They even helped us secure a Rolex magazine that would perfectly compliment my wife's Datejust (which would one day be given to our niece who is currently three). Additionally, a Rolex catalog was found that would perfectly compliment my Seadweller (which would one day be given to my seven year old nephew). No - we did not buy a watch that day but I would certainly consider a visit back to Atlanta to work with George or Willis were I consider adding to our two watches. I would also highly recommend both gentlemen anyone considering acquiring a new Rolex. Their expertise and knowledge of the product was exemplary (they gave us several tips to best care for and maintain time on our watches - my wife was particularly pleased to learn some tips to keeping her watch accurate). In this highly transaction and impersonal world, to encounter genuine experts with such gentle and accommodating client service styles was a profound pleasure. I cannot recommend the Mayors Rolex pavilion highly enough. To the leadership team that brought Willis and George into your team - bravo. Saleman responded that price was $5 thousand and if son wanted $500 ring, then we should go to Zales. So rude. Salesman never asked pricepoint son wished to spend. I have dyslexia and constantly make errors with zeros when I speak. We went across street to Tiffany at Phipps. Our son was treated like a king even though salesman knew budget was $5K and nothing at Tiffany was priced that low. Tiffany treated us with respect and encouraged us to visit in future. read more

Extremely disappointed with Mayors. We ordered a ring over the weekend and were told they didn't have it in store and so they ordered it. We were supposed to receive it earlier in the week and when it arrived to the store they said they had the wrong ring. Then today, we got the call saying the right ring was finally there so drove back there only to find out that they had the completely wrong size and they didn't even know that they did until I asked the guy to size it since he couldn't tell me the size because it "didn't have a sticker on it". This is really deterring as a customer because you'd think that they would size it and make sure they have the correct product before they tell you to come back to the store. The worst thing you can do to a customer is waste their time. This experience is 100% the reason I won't go back to get an engagement ring there because if they are this clueless about a $2k ring, I can't imagine investing in a ring worth substantially more there. This place receives 2 stars purely because I enjoyed the sales agent (Karina) that helped us initially. She was very knowledgeable and nice. If only the rest of the company was like her, you'd have a 5 star establishment. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Karina at this location. Just over a year ago, I asked her if I could be placed on a wait list for the Submariner No Date. She promised then that it would take some time and please be patient, but she would make sure that I get one. As we all know, it is almost impossible to get these Watches now....... Today was the day. I finally secured my brand new Rolex! It was meant to be. This watch is important to me as I am replacing a Submariner that was stolen over 10 years ago that my Mom's Uncle had left me. Run away, and don't look back. Mayor's has horrible customer service and policies. I made the mistake of ordering a Christmas gift from their website. I tried to return to the store and was told that you can't return online merchandise to the store, even though it was the store that the watch shipped from. When I called customer service, I was told that I should have known returns couldn't be made after January 5th. That date was nowhere on the website or on my paperwork. The watch is brand new, exactly as I received it. Customer service said that they would call me back, and never did. I'm now on my third call now... read more

HUGE shout out to Nora Turchak at this location. You would be hard pressed to find a more wonderful person!! Not only does this lady know her stuff, she has the most amazing customer service my wife and I have experienced in some time. Not currently in the market for a Rolex but creeping closer. Had to go to Atlanta to renew my passport in an expedited fashion and stumbled upon Mayors while killing some time. Looked through their inventory and stated early on that Im not in the market at present but was doing some research. Nora spent nearly an hour w/ me and my wife. You could tell she has a heart for people and a passion for watches and jewelry. Nora offered to clean my wife's wedding ring and gave us waters while we waited. She realized Im a watch nerd and she loaded me up w/ a ton of Rolex material. Also, my wife has a smaller diamond (costume jewelry) pendant that used to be my mothers. It has a very delicate chain that had become tangled. Nora untangled the chain (no small feat), cleaned the pendant and then informed us the 7 small diamonds inset were actually real diamonds. We were thrilled for many reasons. One being my mother has since passed. Finally, she shared w/ us some of her story and history in immigrating from the Ukraine and some of the adversities she has over come. Mayors, you have an amazing employee and resource in Nora. This review is for the Mayors store at Lenox. Head to the Mayors store at Phipps instead of Lenox. The Lenox store does not carry Breitling, and I had to stand there for 30 seconds in front of 2 salespeople joking with each other before either noticed I existed, and then they acted as if I was interrupting their fun. So, I left. Now to be fair, they have a lot more traffic in the Lenox store - some people may become actual customers, but most are probably just browsing or are just trying to pass the time. But still... I was shopping for a Breitling, so I stopped into Tourneau in Lenox. Tourneau had a small selection, so I reluctantly decided to try out the other Mayors at Phipps, hoping I would have a better experience and knowing that they carry Breitling. Wow, what a difference! I had a FANTASTIC experience shopping for a Breitling watch for my husband's birthday at the Phipps store. I worked with Nash as my salesperson and 2 managers, and all of them made the experience very pleasant, no pressure, and honestly fun. I also got a great price - and believe me, no one has ever done more research on watch pricing than I did for this gift. Note to the Lenox managers - call the Phipps store and ask what they are doing right. read more

My wife and I were in Atlanta for vacation. She had always wanted a Tennis Bracelet and since I had been going to Lenox Square since 1963 I decided to look there. I can not complement Mayors staff more highly. I hadn't made up my mind when we walked in the store to buy my wife a Tennis Bracelet. Especially when I discovered it was going to cost $16,000.00 dollars. We took several hours looking and talking and going back and forth deciding if we really wanted to spend this much money. The sales staff was very nice and indulged our indecision for hours with no real guarantee we would actually make the purchase. In the end I did buy my wife the bracelet. The reason I bought it was the sales staffs patience in giving me the time necessary to get used to the idea of spending this much money. I could not recommend them more highly. read more

I'm very surprised by the other review of Mayors - I went in last weekend with my boyfriend to just browse and had a great experience. They were aware from the very beginning that we were just looking, which I thought would make the staff ignore us. But on the contrary, the woman helping us (Neenah) was incredibly nice, attentive, and helpful (granted, the store was practically empty, but still). She had me try on practically every ring in the case, helped me figure out what style of ring I liked, and told us about an upcoming design show. My experience with the Phipps Plaza Mayors was great. I was interested in some limited edition Mikimoto pearls, which they did not have in store because the set is quite unique. I was a little hesitant to put down the (refundable) deposit to have them ordered in and wanted to get my mother's opinion on a set they had in stock before I got the credit card out. Cheryl, a manager, surprised my mother and me by getting the set in free of charge! I fell in love, and we purchased the pearls and a ring. Unfortunately, I later noticed a flaw in the stringing of my set. They overnighted my pearls to Mikimoto and had them restrung. Cheryl just hand delivered them to my home (like a forty min drive from the store) because she lives nearby and knew I needed my pearls before I left this weekend school! We had wonderful service from Cheryl--she even left a box of pralines in the Mayors bag as a surprise!--and Johnny, who kept me well informed throughout! I'd definitely recommend the Mayors at Phipps Plaza because of the timely and courteous service I got there. read more

I have always respected this jewelry store as one of the best of its kind in Atlanta. I have wanted Aaron Basha baby-shoes since I had my son and daughter. Once, years ago, I purchased my first baby-shoe on sale and just recently decided to purchase another with a spacer. Mayors is the only jewelry store in Atlanta I could find that sold this particular product. I was assisted by a knowledgeable sales associate and we exchanged information for my future purchase. On September 6,2012, I purchased the baby shoe and a spacer. The sales associate who had assisted me was not there but I was helped by another associate. She let me know that the spacer was on sale for which I was grateful. It was not in that store, but she would be able to get it from another.I paid for both items with a debit card and waited for the monogrammed items and spacer to be available for pick up. The original sales associate called me over a week later to tell me that the shoes had been monogrammed but she could not honor the sale price of the spacer( $604.80) because the price of gold had gone up and they would have to charge me an additional $420.00 if I still wanted it. Keep in mind that I had already purchased it at the sale price but that didn't matter to Mayors. Subsequently, I went to the store the next day, picked up the monogrammed baby-shoes and expressed my dissatisfaction with the store manager, Of course, she knew about it and offered nothing to compensate or make it any better for me. Mind you, other customers came in and were offered orange juice( mimosas? in flutes) and bottled water.I was offered nothing. I kept my cool and asked to be removed from all mailings and data bases and stated I would never trade at that store again. Take note,people, this would not have been a significant loss for Mayors. But, it is a good example of the type of customer service you can expect. By the way, my account has not been credited with $604.80 and it is the second business day. If you have to buy jewelry, don't buy it here unless you want to be asked to pay more after you complete the transaction. read more

Any time I visit Lenox Square Mall, I stop by Mayor's to see what pre-owned Rolex they have in stock. I'm not a fan of the post 2010 line, as the case sizes have been increased (no longer suitable for my small wrist). The store clerk remembered me, I remembered her. I asked if they had an Explorer II in stock (black dial). She told me no, but she did have a GMT Master II. I decided to take a look, as I like that watch as well. She told me it was a good price ($5,900). I explained that while the watch was nice, Ermitage Jewelers had one for $5,000. She became somewhat upset and explained that theirs comes with a 2 year warranty. She also explained that the other guys aren't a certified Rolex dealer, so 'who knows what you'll get inside the watch". I asked if theirs comes with box and papers, to which she replied no. She questioned why I would even want papers. I explained it's part of collecting watches...having the original documentation for the watch. "Why would you even want the papers? They wouldn't have your name! The Warranty from the papers wouldn't even be valid to you!" She was getting really upset. She didn't seem to care that it was something I wanted when purchasing a Rolex. I almost walked away, until she asked again why I would ever want papers with my watch. I simply said, "Um...how about COSC Certification..." Her reply was, "Oh...well yea." I tapped the display glass, snapped my fingers and did the whole point your finger at her thing, and walked out. Sorry Mayor's, but if your staff are too stupid to understand the importance of original documentation, box, and accessories that originally come with Rolex's, ESPECIALLY the warranty/COSC certificate, you'll never EVER get my business.
