I went in early right when they opened. Three ladies just sitting down and one rude woman said "CAN I HELP YOU"? I asked if I can clean my ring very nicely she said "The machine isn't on yet. Can you come back layer" in the rudest tone. Maybe I was too early, but they were opened so I assumed they were ready to work like most businesses would. Sales associates are good IF the store manager Valerie, would allow them to do their job. Valerie is on a power trip and micromanages not only the employees but attempts to do so with customers. If you have any issue with her and ask for regional managers information, she refuses and states, "I'm not going there" . If you ask to work with the employee that was helping you originally she refuses. Unprofessional and extremely poor customer service. Valerie talks down to the customer and is not solution oriented. On December 14th I went to finish my Christmas shopping. I went in to Kay's looking for my daughters 2nd piece of real jewelry as she is 20 and found the perfect ring with Kimmy and the store manager. They ring wasn't available in white gold so she said she was going to order it and it would be here on the 19th and then it wasn't available once she put all my info but she found them at another store, and they would be here by the 19th still. The 19th comes and nothing, so I called the store. The girl that answered said hello? I had to ask if it was Kay's she said yes but had no idea about my order and I was told to call back the next day. I asked for a manager, and she got on the phone and promised one was one of the rings was on the way. The next day Kimmy calls me and says they can refund me as the ring would not be there before Christmas. No regards about putting me over a week behind. Not try to find me something else that might work. She would even look at me once I went in for my refund. So beyond unprofessional. I understand things happen, but this was unacceptable. My current experience with Kays is not favorable. I have had no issues with the employees at the store. My issue is repair turn around time. Unbelievable! I received my engagement ring in December, by May I was missing a center stone. No biggie, I have insurance Ill just bring it in, it will take a week or so....done. Nope. I brought my ring in on May 31 for repairs. Here 6 weeks later they are telling me 30 more days. 10 weeks?? I am trying to plan pictures and a wedding, no ring. This must be remedied. I have shopped here numerous times and always been satisfied with every purchase. They sell diamond jewelry that is affordable as well as some decent prices on gold and silver chains for necklaces. I recommend getting paying a little extra for the extended warranties, especially on chains because they tend to get caught on things and break easily. I have brought back a few of them for repair and it was covered under that warranty. Well worth the investment. Customer service has more than meet my expectations. read more

Went in to Kay Jewelers at the Tucson Mall on May, 11th for their "supposed" 35 percent off deal to buy our wedding bands. I chose mine, and he chose his. After all was said and done, Meghan became disinterested after she made her sale, and felt she no longer needed to help us. We had to ask numerous questions, regarding sizing, ESP plan, date of arrival, etc as she felt it was our job to ask and figure it out. After we left, we noticed that my fiances ring did not get the 35 percent off, only the online price of 30 percent off. He should have paid 363.53, instead he was charged 391.30, which was the internet price of 30 percent off, not 35 percent. We called and asked for Meghan, told her that we were not given the 35 percent off of his ring, and her response was, Nothing i can do about it. When you come to get the rings we will have to see if we can do anything. Went in on May 26th to pick up rings, and my ring was a CHEAP PIECE OF SHIT TIN MADE IN INDIA. They didnt think I saw the tag on it and it was removed quickly. I did not get to see this ring in person and with most rings we were interested in, they did NOT have in the store, so we were forced to order online without seeing the rings in person. My fiances ring was perfect, however, mine was a piece of shit that was DROPPED by the sales people Meghan and Cheryl on the counter and the floor 3 different times. Then the issue of the 35 percent came up. They started to say oh, that was a in store deal only, and u were misinformed. We said not our problem, we were never told and we want the additional 5 percent given back to our account. They himed and haued around, we dont know if we can do that, blah, blah, blah. Needless to say after not accepting the bullshit, they were able to credit the 5 percent difference to our account. However, they became heavily confused, papers and receipts all over and neither seemed to know a damn thing about what to do. I will NEVER shop at this store ever again. I could have sent my ring back and told them i didnt want it, but they would have wanted to do a huge rigamaroe, so on, so forth. The other thing is I ordered a size 9, they sent me a size 8 and 3 quarters ring. Then you watch both the manager and the salesperson argue about who is right and who is wrong about the size. They did not order what i asked for, they took it upon themselves to order whatever in the hell they wanted to. If my wedding wasnt coming soon, i would have gave the ring back. Lesson learned not to shop at Kay Jewelers at Tucson Mall. I also want to say it is very misleading to the customer when u see something online you cant see it in the store and so when the customer gets what they ordered like I did, then you get royally screwed like I did. Customer service is NOT number 1 priority at this store as both Meghan and Cherl as soon as they got the sale, they wanted nothing else to do with us, unless we wanted spend another 300.00 to get their bullshit 100.00 reward certificate. We have already WASTED 1400.00 on this bullshit. Horrible service, misleading, and junk this store sells. Never again, and i will have to buy a different ring later on down the road definitely somewhere else. This store should close down like the rest of the stores in Tucson Mall. Went to Kay for our wedding bands. They are limited on the selection and told us they can order anything they have in catalogs they have on hand. They also told us if we come back on May 11th that the store will have a 35% discount sale on ANYHING we want even if it needed to be ordered. We looked at the mens wedding bands and they have very few to choose from. Well we went home and looked at rings online for both myself and my fiance. Even what they have online is limited and some just plain ugly and expensive. The first time we came in we talked to a sales person named "Megan" and she was very helpful. We returned on May 11th and showed the sales lady "Megan" what we wanted. We asked questions about other rings we were interested in and constantly were told they were not available. She finally just ordered the ones we decided to buy . Surprisingly, once she ordered the rings we wanted, it seemed like she was no longer interested in having anything else to do with us. We had to ask a mirage of questions in order to get any information. She was distant the whole time and seemed like she didn't want to help further. No information offered about the Extended Service Plan we purchased and paid extra. Also, after leaving we noticed on my men's ring she only gave a 30% discount of the 35% promised. I called her when I noticed and she seemed not too happy to discuss it. She said, "I couldn't give the additional discount, because I had to order it online. When you come back in I will see if there is anything I can do". Wow, I was shocked that she pulled this and didn't even mention it when we were in the store. Then to tell me she would "see if there is anything that can be done" when we come to pick up the rings. When we returned on May 26th we talked with the manager and told her what happened. We said we want the discount promised on May 11th they failed to give us. We have to haggle with her to get it. After some push back and excuses that it was for "instore" purchases only, she finally gave it to us. This was not told to us when we first came in. Also, they dropped my fiance's ring 3 different times. Once on the counter and twice on the floor. A different salesperson named "Megan" and the manager were in a big hurry to get us out of there. We were trying to ask questions relevant to my fiance getting her ring sized and asking for details on the extended service plan. The manager left us and went off to help someone else an the other "Megan" wouldn't even stay put to answer our questions. She was wandering all over the area talking and not listening. Really showed she was not interested. They only care about a sale and after that, they want nothing to do with the customer. Finally, my fiances $700 ring looked like it came out of a bubble gum machine. However, we had to go with it because we cant wait for another order. It is thin and dull looking for a 10K diamond wedding band, and we both seen the sales person yank a tag off of its saying "Made in India". They didn't think we seen that but we did. We Will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH KAY JEWELERS AGAIN, and hope we don't have to come back for anything on these rings in the future. This store is shady and so are the staff. We spent over $1,200.00 at this store and the customer service went down the toilet, once the purchase was made. Shop elsewhere. Cheryl is thee best! She is a manager who has been there a while and has always gone out of her way to help my nana and I. They have layaway plans, accept credit cards, and have one of their own. This is my favorite Kay store, I have been to the one at Park Place and they are just not as pleasant to work with. Worst service ever. I walked in to pay a Bill and spoke to Jasmine. She was awful. I asked how much the amount due was. She said well how do I know? I can tell you the entire balance. I explained I didn't want to pay the entire balance. Jasmine said well pick a amount. Well if I pick an amount and it's not enough I need to come back. I don't want to do that. She said well what do you want me to do. I told her to ask for a manager. She I guess was the manager. So I asked if she could call to find out. Thinking this is your job. She told me they were a 3rd party not corporate and they don't do that their. So I told her to give me my card back I'll go somewhere else. She gave it back a laughed at me. Can you believe that laughed. WOW. As I walked out she said that was a waste of time. While shopping at the mall I thought I'd have my ring cleaned and Kay was the closest shop and I knew they did free cleanings. They did an inspection on my ring before hand to make sure everything was good before cleaning it, I though this was to make sure that they could tell you before hand Incase something was lose or not right so that if something was to be wrong after worse they knew it would or wouldn't be their fault. They didn't tell me anything was wrong and I knew my ring's stone was set properly. When they were done cleaning I went about my day later that evening I noticed that the stone moved in it's setting which it didn't do before. Unhappy I called the store and they told me that they could fix it but they would charge me. Now why would I pay the people who broke my ring to fix it... extremely disappointed I later that week called the customer service to report the issue (still unable to wear my ring for the fact it was so lose) my piece was not purchased at a Kay and the lady told me that they would still not fix the issue they caused because it wasn't their piece. This company should tell customers that want their piece cleaned that if it's not one of theirs they won't cover damages that they cause, yet no such information was disclosed. I found this to be unthoughtful and inconsiderate of such a large company to treat their customers in such a way; my mothers wedding ring and band is from Kay yet I won't ever take my service to them again because of the care and unwillingness to fix the damages they caused on my ring. read more

My husband and I had a terrible experience here designing a custom wedding ring - please find another jeweler! We received horrible/extremely unprofessional service, and were almost never called when promised with updates. My engagement ring took 6 months to be completed, for an extremely simple and straightforward design, and we ended up paying wayy more than we should have for both the quality and service. At the end of the process to create the engagement ring, we were assured that if we came back for the matching wedding band it would be a quick and seamless process (since they already had our images and exact ring designed saved in their system - right?) Wrong. Come to find out we had been lied to, and they had no way of locating our original record in the system, so we had to start all over trying to design a wedding band to now fit with my engagement ring, or starting another custom design completely from scratch and this time them trying to match it with my wedding band. This process took even longer (7 months) and was to the point where we received the ring 1 week before our wedding - for a plain, simple wedding band! We had to go back and forth with Kay multiple times (5+) correcting the design as the band and stone settings looked nothing like the original engagement ring, and ended up having our order transferred to another store location to finally get it finished. In the end the ring was still not correct, but close enough considering it was 1 week before our wedding and at that point we just needed the band finished. Please, please stay away for any custom ring orders - they CANNOT handle it, and you will not be happy with the finished product. read more

To start off, I love my ring, and think it's beautiful. However, there were some serious issues that later made us wish we had returned it and purchased elsewhere. 1. My fiancee paid extra for a flawless diamond, and the diamond has a large visible flaw in the center 2. The center diamond fell out a week after we got the ring. I luckily found the diamond on the floor and took it to be replaced, and unfortunately it took over a month to be returned despite missed promise dates, and when it was returned the additions added to the setting to hold in the diamond were sloppy looking (little uneven blobs of metal) 3. a few months later, one of the small diamonds fell out, and now I will need to take it back to be replaced. The store employees (we actually were not at the oracle location listed above) were apologetic and helpful when the diamond initially fell out, our main concern was with the quality of the ring and the poor timeframe/work from repairs. Not sure if we were just unlucky, but if we could do it over again we would have considered an independent jeweler or another company.
