5 STARS ACROSS THE BOARD. I went to Kay's Uniform today to pick up some black scrubs, and received the best customer service. Not only did the associate notice I rolled the bottom and suggested a petite (at checkout!!) she allowed me to comfortably look through a sea of similar, yet very different choices at my own pace. This meant so much to me. I knew she was there if I needed her, but since I needed to concentrate I didn't have the anxiety of an overzealous sales person. I know they close at 7PM and I walked in exactly at 6:57PM but I came in knowing exactly what item/pants I wanted already. And as soon as I walked in, the worker was already so rude to me and yelled out "We close at 7!" And I kindly said back, "Oh yes I know, I already know what I want. Let me go grab it real quick!" I had got off work late and rushed here, hoping I'd make it in time (which I technically did). So I actually came in yesterday already and bought 1 bottom which was $20 but wanted to exchange it today for a different bottom which was $30 (also more expensive than the initial bottoms I bought). So I went to go grab those $30 bottoms. Yesterday, I had bought 5 items (obviously including the $20 bottom I bought). And when I checked out, the girl said "sales were final sale." No where on any of the items I bought said any items were on sale, nor were there any signs saying "on sale" where I got the items from. So I thought, "yeah sure that's ok." Didn't think I bought any items on sale anyways nor did she specify any of my items were on sale. When I walked over to the rack (where the $30 pants were), the elderly Korean female and male stopped me and repeatedly told me that their closed. They were making such a big deal about it when it barely hit 7PM. Anyway, I said "Oh, I wanted to exchange my pants I bought yesterday for these" and pointed at the $30 pants I wanted on the rack. And all the lady kept saying was "No, all sale! No exchange!" And I kindly told her, "I just bought these pants (the $20 one) yesterday and just want to exchange it for the $30 one. Is that ok?" I had pulled out my receipt to just show proof that I purchased them yesterday. I obviously never wore them. I bought it yesterday and it's been in the same bag ever since. And I wanted the more expensive pants anyways, so I really didn't see why an exchange wasn't possible. The lady further took a look at the pants I bought yesterday, was inspecting it and then looked at my receipt and just said "No! No exchange!" She then waved her hand back and forth saying no again, turned her back on me and walked away. I really don't think she even understood what I was saying to be honest when I tried to explain. I understand there may have been a language barrier but if you can't understand, please go get someone to translate. I'm not biased at all and not once was I rude in any way. I was very kind the whole time. I thought that encounter was so rude and not a way to treat a customer that I just walked out, without asking for further assistance (to possibly translate) from someone else. The owner of this place is the worse, you would swear she didn't want business. Long story short everything was fine with this place until we got to the register. Two of the pairs of scrubs we had were marked 12.99 each; however, when she rung them she said they were priced wrong and charged us 15.99 each. When we asked why she was charging more than the tag, she explained they were marked wrong. We then asked why she would not honor her own tags prices. She said it was a tag mistake and she was not giving a discount. I am sorry but this is the first place I have ever been to that didn't give us the price on the tag. We were buying over $150 worth of scrubs and left everything right there on the counter. This place seems like a con to me. We will not be back. While they have a huge selection, the prices are nothing worth dealing with the employees/owners. They are not helpful and downright rude. I was trying some scrubs on and one of the tags came off of a pair of pants so I thought I would have my mom give them to the person at the desk (to be helpful) and instead of thanking my mom the guy accused her for "getting the pants dirty". Are you freaking kidding me? Your piece of crap "fitting room" is what got it "dirty". Seriously- learn how to serve your customers. We left and bought 3 pairs from a scurb shop down the block ( The Scrub's Place) and got excellent service and comparable prices. Your lack of customer service lost you $100 in sales from me. Prison with glass doors and windows, that's the feeling you get at this place. Big place for a mom and pop operation, but from the stares if the workers here you can tell everyone is a suspect. The cashier's counter is long and setup on a stage as so they look down on you instead of facing you and communication is very dry and crackly, if the clothes they sell were soup they'd be the crackers haha. Lighting is dimmer than it should be and the selection is ok but some clothing looks like fit for an outlet with lower pricing, you know rejects for different shades of same color or stiching that isn't straight. I shop here a lot to get my uniforms. They have a wide variety and a pretty big selection compared to many scrub shops nowadays. I just wish they had hemming in-house. The other store I shop at has that and sometimes I opt to go there even though this place is 20+ minutes closer just because of the hemming in-house. Great selection and friendly people. Came here a couple times and one thing I realized was that there are times where there is a language barrier with some workers that can lead to miscommunication once in a while. If you get confused, they'll usually have another person who can explain it more clearly. They have a strict policy they follow with the store! Make sure you listen or read carefully to the policy! There were a few different things pointed out for certain scrubs we were purchasing. Make sure you ask about the policy and keep it in mind if you don't want to run into trouble! I'm not sure if this place is an outlet for factory rejects, but the pair of scrub pants I bought have two shades of navy on them (one leg looks faded purple-navy, the other normal navy). Huge selection of varying styles, colors, patterns. They even carry quite a few options in petite & tall sizes. They seem to get new stock on a fairly frequent basis, too. The "designer" brands (Grey's Anatomy, Koi) are going to cost you - but the fabric is softer & the styles are more flattering. There are less expensive scrub tops & pants but the quality isn't as high...if that's important to you. There are 3 fitting rooms but 1 is halfway full with broken clothing racks. read more

DO NOT give the store owners your money. Walked in today to pick out some new scrubs my boss wanted me to get. I picked out a set of scrubs, tried them on, then walked out with them in my hand, since they were the right size and I liked them. I took the scrubs with me back to the racks so that I could make sure to get the same style but in a few different colors. The man who was at the cash register followed me demanding that I give him the scrubs if I wanted to keep shopping. He was extremely rude and treated me like I was stealing or something. I do not reward bad behavior so I gave him back the scrubs and told him I would not be shopping here. I should have read the other yelp reviews first. I'm a male nurse and found their selection to be poor. If your a man who wears an extra small or triple XL they may have your scrubs in stock. I did use this store for which fabric I liked and the amount/location of pockets, then I went home and ordered them on Amazon. Positive: They have a huge selection of uniforms so it's impossible to not find what you're looking for as far as uniforms. Negative: They follow any person of color around, they will not let you carry around the uniforms that you take off the rack even if you haven't tried them on. You have to set them up on the front counter so you don't try to steal them. There is also a camera in the front of the store that could possibly have front fitting room mirrors in its view (it's angled to the front but the fitting room are right next to the register and go figure the mirrors are tall but the doors are short so if you can see the lens of the camera, it can prob see you). They can also be very rude as far as customer service. read more

I called to see if they carried Littman stethoscope's and I was greeted by an older Asian man. Who quickly began to rant about the quality of the item...which I am well aware of. Super offensive and condescending! I cut him off and told him "This is not what I asked you, I want to know how much they cost". He replied they don't give that information over the phone. Are you kidding me?!?! I hung up! It's raining and I would have to drive down there to find out that he's probably over charging for the stethoscope and is therefore defensive about my perfectly normal question. They have Carhard professional industrial work clothing such as their fire retardant shirts. They keep a decent selection as well. WORST customer service!!!! I went in to try to buy some scrubs because I needed them the next day! I tried on different bottoms and some were too loose. My mom was with me and she was bringing me more bottoms to try on because they were either way to baggy or way to small. When i got out to go pay, there was only one that fit me great and the lady took all the other ones. She started counting them as a joke in front of me that I tried on so many. When she rang me up she said no exchanges or returns because of all the bottoms I tried on. My mom then told her if she wanted to sell because I tried them all on to see which one fit the best she made me feel bad and told me to go back to the dressing room and try them on again and I said no...I almost didn't want to buy anything but I needed them for the next day! I was not impressed with this store. My boyfriend and I went here to purchase his chef uniforms, and I was shocked at the prices! I felt that the prices were astronomical for the quality of products that they sell. We were forced to purchase a uniform from them as they were the only place nearby that was open that day. Yeah, this place has a wide selection of scrubs but the main lady (who I believe is the owner) doesn't know anything about customer service! I was trying on some shoes and I felt pressured to find what I was looking for. She would even tell me that the shoes I was trying on were too big (in a very rude manner). I had also tried on a pair that were UK sized and they fit well and was looking for the same size but different color, when that lady repeatedly said "No, too big!" I had to just walk out of there because she wouldn't leave me alone to try on shoes in peace. It's too bad, I don't live far from there and would have shopped regularly.
