I bought my wife about 5 pairs of scrubs here about 6 weeks ago. An Asian woman, who I believe owns the store, was very excited to see me there and kept coming over to try and help me. She answered my questions and directed me to what I was looking for and helped me find the right sizes. They take up two very large retail spaces that have been combined into one. I've been to all the uniform stores around and they have the best selection with TONS of scrubs. Unfortunately, they're not at much of a discount. They're not over-priced or anything, they're just about normal. For the 4 or 5 pairs I bought there, it cost $140. If you can buy online, it would be cheaper, especially in bulk, but if you want selection and to try them on, this is the place to come. read more

I have been a loyal customer to the shop for almost 7 to 8 years as a nurse, I have exchanged a few items that did not fit or did not work out with no problem, today I went to return some socks that were not even worn at all and they would not honor me bringing them back in unused and unworn, the socks did not fit me as I am tall and you cannot see this from just looking at the package and not trying them on, the manager and the staff member was very rude and said she could not exchange them even though I was going to buy a whole set of scrubs and I would be paying double, now I have socks that do not fit because because they do not honor their exchange policy, in our day and age we look for stores and companies that honor their refund and exchange policy's, DO NOT SHOP HERE! read more

This store is a uniform shop and has a HUGE selection of scrubs and nursing uniforms (Seriously, like every color and pattern you can imagine). They also carry every style of Dickies pants and jeans known to man. You can also get very basic sweatshirts, thermals, and jackets here as well as boxers and socks for dirt cheap. I usually grab more than 1 size to the fitting room so that I don't make so many trips back and forth from the fitting room and so staff isn't going back and forth for me either. The one and only time I ask staff (male Asian guy) to get me a different size, he grunts and says "you don't need another size, this fits fine" I replied telling him how tight it was on me. And he shook his head in anger saying "ok you get it yourself!". The lady at the front reminded me that I already tried the size I asked him to get me. If I'm paying for something regardless of the price, I HAVE to like it and for me to like it, I want to try it on and be sure. Rude staff, if only they had different staff I'd rate this place 5 stars. Oh also, don't ask any questions. I asked if they had any side tie scrub tops. Lady said no. The only reason why i go there is because they have more variety of nurse shoes but their prices are crazy too high! Besides people watch out because there is a lady that tried to charge me double on taxes twice! 2 different times and when i tell her she only says to hold on and doesn't even apologize, their scrubs are too expensive i would recommend you to go to the buena park mall there is a place called scrub shoppe i believe close to Sears you won't believe her prices the lady there is a little annoying and would like you to try many things on but she is kind that I really don't mind because the prices are really good! She did not charged me twice on taxes you are right, but because I told her that the price went up too much! I even asker her are you sure? After she did the math again the price went down after taxes so if you know of a better way to do all this you should show her how to do it because believe it or not it happened to me twice that i was going to be overcharged. read more

They didn't have (wide) in the size shoes we were looking for...but we still kept looking at the other brands of shoes...but one of the Asian ladies came back to tell us "no wide ok" so it felt as though she was asking us to leave. This store is great compared to life uniforms or scrubs world. There's so much to choose from and they had every size available. I felt like their had a pretty good inventory, most of the scrubs were stocked up in sizes and colors. There is a lot of options for petite especially. XXS - S was always available in the scrubs that I wanted. I was able to roam around the store without being bombarded with questions like most retail stores. The employees let me do my thing and try on as many times as I wanted. I had a great time shopping here. I will definitely come back here for more scrubs. The location isn't so pretty. You have to enter a store that looks like it only sells gangster looking t shirts but on the left, it looks way better with all of the scrubs. They don't accept refunds, exchanges only. AWFUL! This place is horrendous. From the customer service to the literal stalking in the store, the owners/employees are simply disgusting. I was purchasing scrubs for the first time and wanted a large variety to choose from, so I came to this store. I tried on about 10 different styles while the owner followed me around and watched my every move (not exaggerating). Midway through trying scrubs on, I left the cheaper section and went to look at more expensive styles. I asked the lady owner to open the dressing room for me, and she asked, "You know that is a different style not Cherokee" (Cherokee is probably the least expensive style I tried on first). I felt as if she thought I was trying to steal by the way she asked me and looked at me as I reached for more expensive brands simply because I started looking at the cheaper brands first. At the end, I didn't find anything I liked and as I was leaving the store, the male owner scolded me for trying on too many scrubs. He said that I could not try on that many and I should go to a smaller store if I wanted to do that. I told him that is not acceptable, and customers should be able to try on however many they wish. He replied by saying I was a bad customer and "shame on me" as I was walking out the door. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! Would give zero stars if I could. read more

Came here to get a lab coat and get a name embroidered on the coat. There were so many selections to choose from. We had specific limitation on the lab coat like it has to be on the knee level and etc. When we asked the owners (lady and guy) and they were both very helpful at finding the exact lab coat we needed! They had special selection on what font type, color, and where it needs to be (left or right) on the coat so we can customize the lab coat exactly we wanted. The price was pretty reasonable too! I walked in and immediately loved Kay Uniforms :) Their selection is huge. They carry all the brands I love and some I had never heard of before (but in a good way). They also carry a variety of compression socks and the Dansko clogs we all know, love and have to have. I highly recommend this place for the variety and customer service. They have a wide variety of selection including the anti microbial scrub line which is a plus! One entire side is just for women, and the other for men. Service was helpful and friendly. Their prices for popular brand names are cheaper than a bunch of stores I have been to. I've been here before when it was just the one store, so i was wary. After checking the reviews I decided to give it another chance. It has expanded to the the store next to it, which I feel had greatly improved the store. I seems like the larger portion of the store has the basic stuff, while the smaller part has more specialty items, such as junior styles, scrubs with 4 way stretch, also more of the fun prints are in that area. Awful customer service and return policy. I came back the following day after my purchase to do an exchange, as Kay Uniform only gives STORE CREDIT for 14 days after purchase. I walked into a terrible fight between a customer and the man and woman in charge. The customer had just purchased the wrong size and wanted an exchange for size. He had his receipt but tags were removed. The man was calm and explaining how unfair this was. The woman and man were vicious and would not exchange for size without tags, stating that they could not resell the item without tags and they knew the customer had just made the purchase (I've been in retail 30 years, ridiculous). Then the saleswoman was hesitant to do my exchange. I was so disappointed in how they handled this. I will never go back. I'm not financially supporting a business like that! read more

I have come into this business a few times, never had a problem. Then 2 weeks ago I went in to buy 4 sets of uniforms, they had 3 and had to order 1 set for me. But when I got home I took all the tags off to wash them, and noticed one top was an XS, so I didn't wash it, and was going to take it back. Then after I washed all the other pieces, I put one of the pants on and realized it was a size latge. Oh no, now what, I checked the tags and there was a sticker that said small on the LG pants. So I called the store and spoke to Linda, I believe she is the owners daughter, she said come in and they will see what happened. To my relief she exchanged both pieces with no problem. This is the second time I have bought scrubs from this store and both have been pleasant experiences. They have any color, any brand, any collection; very large selection for petite! The customer service never fails. The shop attendant helped me find what I was looking for. The owner is very nice, always smiles. I bought the highest priced scrub bottoms in the store and the owner still checked the price against what she had listed (As she has personally mentioned, because of people that swap prices she wouldn't have wanted me to pay more than I had to). Honestly, you cannot expect to pay less than those prices for scrubs. Even well-known websites sell the same scrubs for a couple of bucks more. If you want cheap scrubs, you can go to fashion island and get no name scrubs! Review update: the daughter of the owner ( i believe) comes off as rude. I always end up buying 100- $200 worth of merchandise from there and yet she is caustic, and treated me as if I was going to steal the koi pants I was trying on: I was in the fitting room, trying on different colors of the same model, yet she was outside and wanted to take my merchandise in order to put it back on the rack. I bought all the merchandise I tried on, regardless of her behavior. It would be nice to treat loyal customers with a little bit of respect. I always find the cutest and latest scrubs here. I work at a hospital that only allows RN's to wear 3 shades of solid blue, so it's nice to find different cuts and designs. I can't tell you how many of my coworkers in Newport Beach whom I have given the address to Kay's, as I get compliments all the time on scrubs they have never before seen. Assholes! I came to return something I bought less than 24 hours ago and store owner says they will "LET ME" exchange it if I do it that day. I stayed in the store for 2 hours trying to find something else I like. I argued about this and then she give me store credit for it as she states that I better use it quickly because if I wait longer than 6 months, store will get to KEEP my money and that's just the policy. I told her that was ridiculous. Then she says, "that's just store policy." WTF! I found out later she was the owner of the store and yet she kept saying she was just an employee so she can't do anything for me. Then because I spent certain amount of money, I was suppose to get a tote bag and she claims she ran out and refused to give me one when I saw few hanging behind the 2nd counter. I normally don't like to write negative reviews but I have to mention this just in case people are purchasing. I purchased 5 black aprons and paid extra for them to get embroidered. The man behind the counter said it would take a few days and that he would be happy to email me samples and call me when it was ready. A week went by and I never heard from them. I called them to find out the status and they said, oh sorry it will be ready in 5 days and they would call me. I was getting irate but if they were ready I would get them and be done. It is now 3 weeks since I placed the order. I called to follow up and they are still not done. The woman said she would check. I stayed on the phone with her to find out that they were not done and that I should probably come in for a refund. OMG, if I hadn't called them, they would have taken my money and ran! That's terrible business practice. I will never never use them again. If you do purchase anything from them, be sure to double check. read more
