Dr. Kalani is excellent! I bring my mother to this office and Dr. Kalani is sensitive to patient's need. He explains exactly whats going on with the patient. She need customer service training. She makes you feel unwelcome. No patient friendly attitude. I took my mom for a test, we got there at 8:30 am and the appointment was at 9 am...there was another patient with an appointment schedule at 9:15. They call the 9:15 appointment before my 9:00 am. When i questioned what was the process in calling people in... i was told ...in the order they come in...which my next statement was...so if i sheduled my appointment at 2 pm and i come at 9 am, i will be seen at that time? Because the 9 15 was seen before me and i have been waiting to be seen since 8:30 in the waiting room...i got inn at 9:45 am. Finally! I truly recommend this doctor. I had been going to him since I was diagnosed with cirrhosis and now my mother sees him also he recommended me for liver transplant. Dr. Kayali and his team are great! I came here in 2019 with stage 4 cirrhosis. He did not sugar coat anything and was real with me on what I needed to survive. He pushed me to eat better and to take all my medications. He guided me as my disease was eating me up. Dr. Kayali instructed me to seek a liver transplant team and urged me to try and be accepted at UCLA where I received my transplant July 1st, 2020. If it weren't for God, my wonderful donor, my liver transplant team I wouldn't be alive right now. But it all started with Dr. Kayali. I've started to see Dr. Kayali once again post-transplant and it's nice to see him and share my story. Shout out to Francis, she's the first person you see when you come to their office, she always goes above and beyond to help me. PLEASE READ - Dr. Kayali refused to give my brother a referral to a transplant center for evaluation with a MELD score of 41 and continuously hospitalized! He said, "DO NOT TALK TO ME ABOUT A TRANSPLANT UNTIL 6 MONTHS SOBRIETY!", knowing my brother would die before that point. With research and persistence, our family was able to educate and inform the ICU team that there are exceptions to the 6-month sobrierty rule. They finally called Loma Limda to confirm. Loma Linda confirmed they do take exceptions on a case by case basis, and they wanted my brother transferred to them ASAP! 3 weeks later, my brother has a new liver thanks to Loma Linda Transplant Ctr. They gave our family hope, compassion, and my brother a 2nd chance at life. I URGE FAMILIES TO FIGHT FOR THEIR LOVED ONE. Kayali's behavior was unethical, unprofessional (as he told my brother and our family he was going to die several times), and straight up inhumane. I wonder how many families have lost a loved one due to his unprofessional, uneducated, unethical, controlling, and inhumane behavior. As society, we are conditioned to trust doctors and trust their expertise, as we should be able to, but KAYALI CANNOT be trusted and should not be a doctor if he doesn't want to help people. Dr. Kayali is great. We brought my dad in, thinking there was not much that could be done for him, but Dr.Kayali proved us otherwise. My dad had gone to three appointments at his clinic in Rialto and on his third visit. The doctor noticed his blood work, which demonstrated how increasingly worse he got in a short amount of time, and referred us to the best liver transplant team that we could ask for, which we received after attending UCLA's emergency department, where he was further evaluated. He received his transplant not too long afterward. He is having a speedy recovery at UCLA and will be checking in with Dr. Kayali every year. The process of receiving the transplant would not have happened if it hadn't been for Dr. Kayali's staff and referral, specifically Francis, who had been calling to check in and help us square away the insurance information to continue receiving treatment. Horrible service. I had seen this doctors 5 times and it's just ok . There staff are horrible. Costumers service is very poor if I would do 0 star I will . They rarely answer the phone and when will leave a message they never returned my calls . Sad . I didn't look for this office my insurance send me to them . The doctor is just ok. I been coming here hopping a change but it's just getting worse. I wait one hour and twenty minutes and never call me I checked with the receptionist and I was told I'm going to check with the girls.but they never call me 4 patients before me got call first. Sad . I was told I was gonna die soon. End stage cirrhosis of the liver, HepC and growing cancers Maybe 6 months to live. This was 9 years ago. Didn't look like I was ever gonna get a transplant, I gave up on life. Thank God for Dr. Kayali. He stuck with me through it all, attended to every detail and made sure I got what I needed. It's been only 2 1/2 months since I got my liver transplant and I feel fantastic, like I'm 25 years younger. This is ridiculous! My mother received a phone call last night asking to come in an hour early due to a cancellation. Upon arriving, reception was rude and assertive. A simple good morning or hello was not exchanged. My mother and I have been sitting here for over an hour without being seen. The least the staff can do is to keep patients updated as to why the wait is so long. Especially, when patients are not allowed to eat or drink anything within a 12 hour window. This is probably the worst experience I've had with the doctor I went for him for help because I can't eat or keep anything down and I've lost 80 lbs he tried to tell me I have IBS when they took a test a week ago I had an ulcer and the other doctor said I had three ulcers. He came in had not even read my chart kept asking me what other doctors thought and when I got a little upset he kicked me out of the office we asked him for our records so we could go to the emergency room he refused to let us pick them up and would not change the address where it's getting delivered so now they are getting mailed 2 hours away sometime this week when they have time. Never in my life have I been treated so badly when I need so much help he doesn't care!!! We have been to Dr Kayali pre liver transplant and still see him for post transplant follow ups. He is so knowledgeable about meds, transplant, hep C. We were so lucky to have found him ref by Dr. Bala. Started with him at Loma Linda and followed him when he left. We have been seeing Dr Kayali for 7 years. I literally have called this doctor's office dozens of times over two months and left many, many voicemail messages. Bottom line, they don't answer the phone so I was never even able to schedule my mother to see Dr. Kayali. It's sad, because I read in the reviews that he is a good doctor. But ultimately a doctor is only as good as the help they employ and in this case, the reception department is a sore reflection on this doctor's services. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Kayali's since 2004. By the grace of GOD and Dr Kayali's abilities I am alive. I needed a liver transplant and all other doctors had given me up for dead. Dr Kayali was very aggressive with my treatments and medication. His staff was always helpful getting procedures setup as well as following up to make sure everything went well also working with the pharmacy to make sure I received all the correct medications. When I would go to the office for my appointments There was always a smile and a pleasant greeting. At the end of 2013 my kidneys failed and I was getting very very sick Dr Kayali stayed in touch with my wife almost daily making adjustment to my medication. In January 2014 I received a a liver and kidney transplant. I am doing great. I still see Dr Kayali for my post transplant care. Dr Zeid Kayali and his girls are very caring,professional and pleasant each time I come in to the office for an appointment. They are very confident in all they do. As for Dr Kayali,himself, he is one of the most wonderful doctor I have ever meet. And I have been working in the medical field for 30 yrs. He literally saved my life.
