They texted me today and wanted to call their office. They couldn't confirm if I will have a telephone appointment or in person visit and they didn't even know what office I will go to??? That is the answer I got today after waiting for two months. No appointment confirmation, all they said there were no instructions from Dr. Tieng? My appointment is on 05/04/2026. If they can't even confirm what office i am going to ??? WTF would I keep my appointment for??? The operator was so unprofessional. I want to give the best kudos to lovely Linda. she has always helped me out, going above and beyond every single time there is something that I need or insurance causing troubles. she is very knowledgeable and great at communicating between me and the doctor in a timely manner. Dr Tieng has listened to my concerns and was also working on getting all possible testing taken care of to make sure I am healthy. I was referred to Dr. Tieng and had a horrible interaction with two front office personnel. The first person acted like she didn't know what a referral was and questioned my reason for calling three different times. I asked to speak with someone else and the next person implemented more gatekeeping. She said, "The doctor told me she won't be able to see you for three weeks. Do you still want to come in?" I'm not sure how she was able to speak to the doctor in the few minutes since I had called but it felt like I was a big nuisance rather than a patient seeking assistance. I couldn't make the 3-week out appointment so they offered me one 4 weeks later as the only other alternative. She said there was nothing else open. I'm in pain so I had no other option than to meet with the doctor 7 weeks from now. I asked for the office address -- the provider's website states they have offices in four different cities - but no, they only have one office in Rancho Cucamonga. The staff person acted offended I didn't know they hadn't been operating in Redlands for over two years and wanted to know if I still wanted the appointment now that it was in Rancho Cucamonga. This office's lack of compassion, out-of-date website, unprofessional staff, and front desk gatekeeping practices are exactly what is wrong with medicine. Do providers not train their front desk to remember people are calling medical offices because they are scared, in pain, and need help? I was happy to cancel the 7 weeks out appointment I made with them after finding another GI specialist closer to home and to report to the doctor who referred me to Dr. Tieng how unprofessional this office operates. I really appreciate Dr Tieng. She takes time to listen. She seems very down to earth and is easy to talk to. For years I have had stomach issues. No doctor ever told me why I had constant pain and bloated. I was just repeatedly given heartburn medication and nothing helped. Dr Tieng tested me for SIBO immediately and it was positive. My insurance didn't cover the antibiotics but she kindly provided samples. My stomach immediately felt better! God know how long I had been dealing with that. I like that I can email her office and get a responseand that she follows up w a staff call to see how I'm doing. I have never had any issues w the office staff. They have all been kind and prompt. While I'm still having some stomach issues I am happy to have found this Dr. Update:. Another 5 stars. I left me meds when out of town and her staff Tabitha, met me near my work to provide me samples so I can finish my course of antibiotics. She did not need to do that and went above and beyond the call of duty. On another note I really appreciate that Dr Tieng has staff who look at emails and offer to email lab orders by email. Dr. Tieng and her staff are truly amazing. During this time of illness and frustrating symptoms, her office has been so caring and prompt. Tabitha in particular was so kind, encouraging, and helpful. When the hospital called to postpone my procedure because my Covid test tube had leaked, Tabitha stayed on the phone with me to help me find a different testing site, and I ended up not having to postpone my procedure thanks to her. She saved the day! Dr. Tieng was also amazing during the procedure, she answered all my questions and I had no discomfort at all during the procedure. Since my first visit didn't like the staff , but first visit I like the doctor - had my colonoscopy and seems that they forgot to give me meds the pain was terrible I had to scream 3 times before dr Tieng order to out something on me - she keeps telling me to breath - after the colonoscopy until today my bowels are painful - won't see this dr. Dr Tieng is doing and trying everything she can think of to get me into remission with my ulcerative colitis

Meet Dr Tieng for the first time today. The wait was quite long but once I got into a room I was seen within five minutes. She went over my history and I told her my concerns and she recommended a colonoscopy. In 2010 I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis but didn't get follow up check ups with a GI doctor. Dr Tieng was on top of things and I was very happy with today's visit. read more

I wouldn't even give her a 1.... But I want it to be seen. Never go to this dr! My husband had ulcer active colitis diagnosed by her a few years ago. She keep telling us she didn't want to put him on medicine for reasons I have no clue. She even stated how bad his colon was. She said eat blan food. Fast forward 3 years. When he has had a flare up we just try to control with diet. But this flare couldn't not be controlled. Took him into another dr and he is appalled why she didn't put him on medicine! The chances of colon cancer are higher and his colitis is so bad he may have to take out colon and live with bag. Be ware of this dr! Dr Tieng is the absolute BEST gastro that you could ever hope to get. She actually listens to what you have to say. I had lost her due to to IPA changes 4 years ago. Dr. Tieng is great at cutting through and getting to the heart of the matter. She's been very attentive in hearing my fiance's symptoms and ordering new tests. The problem is the abysmal communication of her front office - we have learned that emailing is the only way to communicate with the doctor directly. Calling the office leads to a "You'll get a call back later today." Surprise - we never get a call back same day. We're lucky if we get a call back at all, ever. We just found out the doctor ordered tests two weeks ago, but that was never communicated to us. Meanwhile, my fiance has been suffering. Now he is questioning if we should seek out another doctor, but the thought of starting this long process over from scratch is so frustrating. read more

I am a new patient of Dr. Tieng, referred by a friend. I saw the doctor for a routine colonoscopy. The office is incredibly well run. The staff is friendly and caring. I was taken for my appointment punctually, received excellent care, and was able to consult with Dr. Tieng before I went home. Since my first visit, she has made herself accessible to answer my questions and concerns. She has corrected mistakes other doctors have made with me, and is very proactive about trying to resolve any medical issues that I have. She never, ever, ever makes me feel like just a co-pay, and has called me herself to give me lab results and discuss follow-up care. She seemed to know what she was talking about and was very nice. However, was not willing to do any definitive tests to validate what she believed the diagnosis was. Even with a history of Crohn's disease in my family, she was not willing to rule out that I did not have the disease as I am 24 years old and otherwise healthy. This is not the way to accurately diagnose someone. I went somewhere else because ultimately, I felt as if she believed nothing was wrong with me. I would not recommend her to others. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Tieng for over a year. She was referred to me by my family doctor to help treat my Hepatitis. I had a very tough case and I have been to 3 other specialists in the past to try and manage this difficult condition. But Dr. Tieng gave me wonderful news last week as her treatment has completely cured me of this disease! I've also recommended my wife to go see her as there as she is one of the only female GI Doctors in the area and Dr. Tieng has made her feel very comfortable and secure during her very first Colonoscopy. Didn't get me my bill for a year, billed the wrong insurance, and the office staff was just nasty.

I was surprised by how young she seemed, and lost faith in her when she spent so little time with me. She made little inquiry about my history and was quick to prescribe medication. She does not seem to have much interest in using supplements before resorting to pharmaceuticals. Furthermore, she seemed very unfamiliar with my preexisting medical conditions. I would definitely not recommend this physician, although i hesitated to write such a negative review because she was so nice. read more

Dr. Andrea S Tieng is an outstanding doctor. I've had procedures performed by her. She's well studied, takes the time to listen to you, is thorough in her questioning and examination and her follow up is impeccable. I've seen some of the "best" GI specialists in the LA area and I'd rate Dr. Tieng higher because of her ability to carefully listen. She is also very professional and has a wonderful bedside manner. Was very responsive to my concerns, and was willing to provide alternative holistic solutions.

She misdiagnosed ulcerative colitis for IBS and over the next year and it got progressively worse. Went back on a Monday to see her and was rushed through the appointment, didn't do an exam, sent my daughter home with same diagnosis and pain meds. Two days later she was rushed to ER and has been in Loma Linda for two weeks now fighting the ulcerative colitis. LL said she was one day away dying because she had internal bleeding so badly. Never, ever trust one doctor's diagnosis especially this one. read more
