Wow this place really feeds you, and we loved the food! They have an interesting take on chow mein, and you don't want to stop eating it. The egg drop soup was really great too. But they do a fantastic job with their meat dishes. Everything was seasoned perfectly, and they will make any dish spicy if you ask them. My three big fellas and I got stuffed at lunch, with plenty left unfinished for a light dinner. For the prices it really was a great value. I highly recommend getting take out from them while dining-in is now not an option. read more

We used to eat here all the time when it was under the old management. Now every time we place an order it seems to taste worse and worse. Tonight was the worst yet, and we will not be coming back. First time there. I ordered sweet and sour chicken that came with teriyaki chicken, rice and an egg role. The only thing good was the teriyaki chicken and rice. My boyfriend and I stopped in here as we have heard great things. The inside of the space is like a step back in time. It was very dated, but who cares about that. Deserves 0 stars. Online order, arrived when told and half the food wasn't ready. 20 minutes later order was bagged and ready to go. Get to the office and unbag food, half the food is missing. Sesame chicken that was there was so bad it was inedible. So over fried it cut your mouth. Called restaurant, was told "I can't help" and then was put on hold for 10 minutes. Hung up and called back and they refused to answer my calls. Poor service, poor food. read more

I called ahead and my order was ready when I got there. The food was good and the serving size was ample. My only complaint is that the menu they have posted on the wall clearly lists one price but they charged me quite a bit more than that. When I asked about it the cashier said they were under new management and the prices have changed. I feel that if they are going to radically change prices they need to clearly post the new prices somewhere visible or cover up the old prices. Also the receipt she gave me does not give the prices for each item, it only gives the total, so it's hard for me to see what I was actually charged for each dish. read more

This review is so hard for me to write I have grown up in north Spokane and have frequented Kay's consistently amazing food clean and cozy I have been out of town for over a year and wanted some Kay's but I'm assuming it's under new ownership using the old name dirty tables took over an hour to get our food and we were the only ones there then he came over with half of it and asked if we could sub out the fried rice for white or it would be another 20 minutes I asked for water and the kids pointed at the pop machine and said water is over there but we don't put ice in the machine you have to buy a child bottle of water which is arrowhead cheapest water you could buy for$2 but the machine had a sign that says not working so I went back up and said the water machine isn't working and this is the same person that I just talked to said yeah if you want water you have to buy one then the food wasn't what we ordered and he tried to argue that we ordered what we didn't but after about 5 we got it food which is nowhere near what it used to be and for 3 of us it was $65.00 I was with my granddaughter so I asked for a straw so she could drink her water he laughed and said we don't have straws were cutting costs in not sure who bought this place but shame on you for ruining a landmark in my city then selling expensive crap under their name will never return and it is truly saddening to me was one of my favorite places to eat ​ read more

Yum! I saw their post on fb and I really needed to try. Unfortunately, Orange Chicken was sold out so I chose the Honey Chicken. Yes, indeed, the portion was great and it tasted so good! We have not been since new owners. was not happy with food. everything was very very dry. We had the teriyaki chicken with fried rice and the beef teriyaki with fried rice. The fried rice was steamed rice with eggs, peas and carrots, no flavor and very dry. beef and chicken were both dry as well. Teriyaki sauce was not the same as previous owners, this is what made Kay's. We will not be going back. read more

The yakisoba noodles have just the right amount of sauce and consistency; not soaked and not lacking, either. Always friendly staff. Food is always delicious. There are many choices and the owners will often offer dishes that are not necessarily on the menu. You never know if something is possible if you don't ask! Tell them what you'd like and they will be happy to help you make a decision. read more

This is hands down the best teriyaki in Spokane and maybe the whole state! They are always very friendly and accommodating and I love everything on the menu. Everything is fresh and not over-sauced like some places. My favorite is the chicken Katsu but this time I had the honey chicken. Service is fast and the place is clean. Egg rolls were good. Egg Drop soup had a strong sesame oil taste that was off-putting. Chow Mein & rice were very dry, almost inedible. Entrees we got were almond chicken, broccoli beef, and sweet & sour chicken. The sweet & sour was ok. The other two entrees had a very strange flavor that wasn't good. I came here on a whim bc I work close by and I'm not disappointed at all. Food is pretty good-I ordered the Yakisoba w/ Pork and the serving size is stupid fat which I am not complaining about. Incredibly nice staff the owner she gave me a free bowl of what I assume was egg drop soup was a tiny bit salty but regardless I still finished the whole thing. We were looking for good food without a wait and tried Kay's. Kay's was clean and fast with friendly service. We were surprised to even get egg drop soup before our meal. My wife had a #1 Combo (chow mein and veggies) and I had a Teriyaki chicken plate. Flavor on everything was great and portions excellent for the price. We had more than we could eat with a fountain drink and were out the door for $18. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars was the rice and chow mein were barely warm. I called in my order, and ran an errand so I was there 15 min later then the time they told me to be there. From then I proceeded to wait over an hour while they served everyone else. I had to actually ask why my food wasn't ready and there was no explanation. We ordered teriyaki chicken and it came with no sauce because I'm sure they were rushing due to me being upset.
