Everything was cooked as ordered, and came out hot and we really enjoyed it. The tuna was probably our favorite, seared perfectly and was fresh. Well.. this used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but after getting my typical to-go order tonight, I will no longer be eating there. I am not one to bash a restaurant as their food is good, but to find an actual maggot in my food is something else. As I was flipping through my veggies, I came across it. Thought it might be a piece of rice until I decapitated it, and realized there were also wings on it. If you are serving any type of meat, PLEASE keep up with food safety regulations. Great hibachi. We got the combination meals. A filet and chicken and a chicken and shrimp. It came with rice, vegetables, carrots and a side salad. We got two egg rolls which were really good. The dressing for the salad was authentic Japanese salad dressing and yummy (and think not runny like some). Meat cooked to order and perfect. Vegetables were yummy. The only reason I gave a four instead of 5 is because the carrots were over cooked and the lettuce in the salad had a lot of brown. My salad only had lettuce while my husband's also had carrots and purple cabbage. read more

I feel like for the price the food better be awesome or portions should be huge, but neither was the case. Service 10/10 - staff was friendly, welcoming, and food came quick! Came her to get dinner on my way home one night and was not disappointed. Some things were better than others. Their Habachi dinners are really good my only complaint was there was too much liquid in it. I did like that I was able to substitute extra veggies for the rice (something I can't do when I order online). I loved the dumplings the filling is delicious! just got done playing golf and I decided to go for a nice meal at kobes. As soon as me and my friends walked through the door we were not treated like the other guests. the waitress was rude and came to our table 1 time the entire meal. the manager then came up to us and gave us our food and was very rude and disrespectful. there was also hair in our food and salad. this was a terrible visit and i will not make the same mistake in coming here again. read more

Our waiters came up to our table 3 times the entire meal without being asked one was to seat us one was to bring our drinks and food and one was to give our checks. Their portioning is very inconsistent so don't bother ordering extra of something because they will charge you more but give you the same amount. If you pay with a card in the drive thru they will have you fill out your receipt even though there is no spot for a signature they just want you to give them a tip and as soon as they see you didn't tip they are very rude. Pleasantly surprised by this place, stopped by on a week night and it was hopping and never died down. They basically do stir fry and the portions are immense! I had the hibachi chicken and it was excellent, I love that Yum Yum sauce to add on too. This is a simple, no-Frills kinda place, they have a limited menu but they do it very well and quickly. It was a Sunday night and they were pretty busy but not crazy busy, yet we were glanced at then ignored by three different waitresses. I thought I had updated this months ago when we returned for Try #2, but apparently I did not. The Husband and I decided to return to Kobe and give them a second chance to try their teriyaki entrees. The teriyaki sauce was similar to what I found at Fuji or at Chef's Asian Cuisine (Hardin Valley) -- very thin and not exorbitantly sweet. I found it delicious and a wonderful change from the thick glaze found at other restaurants; the husband was not a fan. He also decided to try the soup instead of the salad (since he does not like the pink shrimp sauce) and was equally disappointed. After trying his soup, I agreed that there was a certain spice in the broth that was way too strong -- like if you get a taco that has too much cumin. The service was a lot better. My steak was cooked well this time, also. In conclusion, Kobe has been upgraded to a place that I sometimes crave because it's different than the other Asian places in that area of town. However, my husband has yet to find anything he likes and refuses to return. I recommend going and trying the teriyaki at least once, because you may find you like it. read more

My first time picking up an order from Kobe and I was VERY disappointed! I ordered 3 meals of filet and shrimp. I sent my grandson to pick it up. They gave him the wrong order which we didn't discover until he got home. He called and they said to keep the wrong order and return for our correct order.
