Hands down, the best hibachi around that I've tried. Ironically went to my local sushi place tonight that's my go-to and I have always raved about their hibachi... now that I have tried Kazu's, I didn't like it as much. Not sure if that's good or bad news for me lol because Kazu is about 40 minutes from my house. Service was polite and attentive as I expected. Restaurant was clean but is limited on seating, just fyi. Hibachi is cooked fresh to order and my fave thing is that the veggies aren't over cooked and mushy. They still have a crisp to them. Decided to try this place for a late lunch on a recent Thursday afternoon. There are booths and a low counter with stools. I was told to sit wherever I wanted, and since they weren't busy due to the off-time, I chose a booth. Ordered the chicken and scallops combo, plus green tea and water. Tea and water were served in styrofoam. Not a fave of mine. But when the delicious food appeared, I forgave them. Especially since it was on a real plate. I had to ask for ginger sauce, but the yum yum sauce had already been put on the table in a squeeze bottle. Everything was perfectly cooked, plentiful and yummy. I would probably not order the scallops again because the flavor and texture were more fish-like than scallop like. Loved the chicken and all the veggies. Fried rice was good as well. Didn't have anything added to it, but it didn't need to. Even though I ate a lot, I still took home enough for another delicious meal. Outdoor seating, decent customer service, great prices! Their lunch prices are only $9.99 you can't beat that. Located in a large shopping center so there is plenty of parking. Tried this place for friday night takeout dinner. I ordered the shrimp hibachi and my husband got steak hibachi. This is our first time trying this place and we'll definitely be back! It takes a lot for me to give a place five stars, but we stumbled upon this little gem last Saturday and were thrilled to find that the food was better than both Benihana and Ron in Japan, and even less expensive than either of those restaurants. Everything was exceptional! The appetizers were absolutely delicious. The shrimp I had was amazing, and my wife's sushi was also great. There's not a single bad thing I can say about this place; we will definitely be back when we're in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. My husband I decided to try Kazu restaurant today for lunch. My husband had the steak and rice dish, I had the teriyaki. Oh my gosh! I have not had such great food in a long time! It is hard to find quality and delicious food at the same time in Raleigh NC. The other good restaurant would be Alpaca. But honestly, you can't beat the price here and it's quality. This must be the favorite place for a lot of people because when we went to pick up an online order there were many people waiting and the kitchen must have had 30 plus meals lined up like an assembly line. Went to go to our regular hibachi place and it was closed so we tried Kazu for the first time. Great location - next to BottleMixx and it was busy. Inside there's a small dine-in area, but it seems this place has a great to-go routine. Walked in and ordered a bunch of hibachi options and a soba noodle meal. The pricing is very reasonable, and huge portions! Chicken is super tender, no chewy/tough pieces. The steak is a strange texture, it's super soft and almost mushy but tender and flavorful. They do have hot sauce if you are interested in spicy. The soup was delicious. The salad was FRESH - easily the highest quality salad I've had at any hibachi restaurant (even expensive sit-down restaurants).
