Sashimi Lunch

We have been to this particular location under many names, but we have really enjoyed Sushi Iwa! The bogo rolls are great but we often come here for lunch! The prices are reasonable and the proportions are sizable! I got the Sashimi Lunch special- what you don't see in the photo is the small mountain of seaweed salad under all that fish, YUM! My partner gets the green curry lunch, pleasantly spicy and is a total steal deal for like 14$. He often has a hard time finishing all that food! The staff here are super nice, there's typically K-pop playing in the background, and we generally can't complain! Solid restaurant!

We have tried sushi Iwa in Apex but this is our first time trying this Morrisville location and it is equally fantastic. The staff is super nice and welcoming, the food was delicious, and came super fast, and my little one loved her kid's chicken lomain

Bottom line: I enjoyed the sushi at Sushi Iwa with the "My Love" specialty roll definitely being my favorite of them. They do have BOGO sushi here. The broccoli with beef was adequate but not extraordinary, wishing the sauce packed more flavor. The starters of steamed gyoza and veggie spring rolls were both good. Service both visits was great and positive. The Deets: Seeing Sushi Iwa opening up in the Grace Park neighborhood of Morrisville, I've made a couple of visits here. It's located on the roundabout near Starbucks and Woody's in Grace Park. Going in, it appears to have the same layout and footprint that the previous occupants had at that location. Being solo each time, I was sat down at the booth next to the main doors/entrance upon each visit. There is a sushi bar in the back corner, regular bar on the other side and plenty of seating with booths and tables. With my visits, I had a good variety of menu selections. My first visit started with steamed pork gyoza and it was a good appetizer choice. For lunch, I went with the Chef's Selection of the broccoli dish with beef added for my protein choice. This entree was adequate, but not extraordinary, pretty much how you'd expect from any beef/broccoli dish dining out. I actually wished the brown sauce had more flavor to it. The house salad with ginger dressing was good, nice portion for a side salad. I wanted to see how the sushi was though, and even though they are known for their BOGO deal even with specialty rolls, I went with one roll of the "My Love" specialty roll with spicy tuna, salmon, cream cheese, spicy mayo, and topped with red roe (one roll is 8 pieces). I found this roll delicious! It had a lot more cream cheese than expected (not complaining) and I enjoyed all the flavors coming together in this roll. I made one more visit, this time to enjoy the BOGO deal they are known for, but first ordered a couple of vegetable spring rolls for starters. I had to use a fork as they were extremely hot just out of the fryer as well as still a bit oily, but they were not bland flavor-wise and I liked them. For my BOGO sushi, I ordered the "White River" specialty roll (yellowtail, avocado, tempura flakes, topped with white tuna, orange caviar, and spicy mayo) and the "Cherish U" specialty roll (spicy tuna, avocado, topped with salmon). I enjoyed both of these sushi rolls, as I went back and forth over which one I liked the most...finally the flavors within the "Cherish U" roll won out but again, both were good to me. Throughout both visits, my server Victor delivered great service with a smile and made sure I had everything I needed throughout the meals. I think I like Sushi Iwa for their sushi and appetizer selections, glad to see them in the neighborhood.

I visited Kinoko Ramen on Jan 12, 2026. It was noon, and I was the only dine-in customer. There was…read moreno wait time for a table. Water and menu were provided the moment I sat down. I had already looked at the menu online and knew what I wanted: shoyu ramen. The order was served with a spoon, a side plate and a paper towel. There was 1 soft-boiled cut into two halves and ample amounts of scallion, menma and braised pork belly. The latter had a rich flavor, helped in no small part by the pork and chicken broth. Not only that, the broth complimented the rest of the ingredients; the egg was enjoyable. My only (minor) complaint is the portion size of the ramen itself. It was smaller than I would like. The lady that served me was probably (best guess) the owner. Her service was impeccable. In addition, Kinoko has a pleasing amenity not found in most restaurants: an AC outlet at every table that was by the wall. This was very handy for a heavy user of laptops and phones like myself. Although there was music playing in the background, it wasn't loud. The server and I were able to hear each other, and I could also hear the voices of others at the bar. The restroom had an interesting decor of newspapers for wallpaper. That was something I didn't see elsewhere. If you love good ramen, come to Kinoko Ramen. If you like a quiet place to dine in, come to Kinoko Ramen. Perfect scores in food, service and atmosphere.

It wasn't crowded, but it was doing a lot of takeout for a ramen spot (generally a food best enjoyed fresh). The mala ramen (a mix of spicy and tingly sensations) that I sought delivered on the premise. It was a fascinating flavor mix, with some harsh notes that would be a discovery for those that haven't had mala before working well because of the balance of salty and savory flavors and some nice greens and sweet corn. It was unique and I enjoyed it. They had some appetizers and things that I wasn't hungry enough for, but I did wash it down with tea. It was a very reasonable price given how the hipster ramen market has gone. And they had enough menu options that returning would be worthwhile. I ended up going to the other local ramen place anyway the next day, and I would say that both were really good. You can't go wrong.

Best ramen in the area…read more We are from Southern California and we finally found a quality tonkatsu. This pork broth is one of the longer broths to make and you can tell they did it right. Great service, quick and happy to serve! They do not skimp on amount of food either. The price you pay here is great compared to west coast. Lots of thick pork, charred, and lots of noodles and toppings. High quality blended chili oil was also a surprise. We'll be back! I ordered Spicy #2 but I think a great order is to try the tonkatsu regular and the spicy #3, order the side of chili oil! Thanks team! Very good job

The flavors here are rich and comforting, especially when it's cold outside. My go-to orders are the Spicy Tan Tan and the Tonkotsu, both of which are packed with flavor and always hit the spot. The broth is satisfying, the noodles are well-cooked, and it's exactly the kind of meal you crave on a chilly day. This would have been a five-star review for me in the past, but I've knocked it down slightly because the prices have been creeping up. It's starting to feel a bit steep for what used to be an easy, go-to lunch spot, even though the quality is still there. That said, the food itself remains excellent, and I'll absolutely continue coming back, just a little less often for lunch than I used to. Food comes very quickly but very limited seating so keep that in mind if going during peak dining hours. Still a top-tier ramen option in Raleigh.

After a long flight and the usual airport chaos, I was heading back when I spotted Potbelly and…read moreimmediately knew I had to pull over. Something about being travel-hungry made one thing crystal clear: I needed a Wreck. And wow... this hit the spot perfectly. I ordered the A Wreck on multigrain, thin-cut, loaded with basically everything good in the house -- Genoa salami, roast beef, smoked ham, turkey breast, provolone, hot peppers, caramelized onions, pickles, cucumbers, artichoke hearts, roasted garlic aioli... the whole masterpiece. Every bite hit. The bread had that perfect warm toast, the meats were stacked generously, and the balance of tangy, savory, crunchy, and spicy was chef's kiss. The caramelized onions with the hot peppers especially took it over the top. Also grabbed a large Strawberry Dragonfruit refresher, which was ice-cold and ridiculously refreshing after airport chaos and North Carolina humidity. Exactly what I needed. If you're anywhere near RDU and debating a stop before heading home -- do it. This Potbelly absolutely delivered. The Wreck remains undefeated.

I received a confirmation email that my order had been received. When I called to see where my order was, I was given the Manager on the phone. He explained to me that the Credit Card didn't go through so they cancelled my order. No one ever called or sent an email saying the order was cancelled!! I could have easily provided another credit card! By now it was noon and I ended up running to Harris Teeter and picking up a dozen deli sandwiches, cookies, chips, and salad. It made for a hectic afternoon, but I saved nearly half what I would have spent at Potbelly and the food was just as good. What makes things even worst is that the manager didn't offer any sort of apology or offer a discount on my next catering order. I will NEVER order office catering from this location again!!
