The waiter said that was enough food after ordering 4 rolls. He also didn't place an order for the 4 rolls without us knowing and only brought 2 rolls and said it's a lot of food and we can order more when we are done. The sushi didn't have any taste, and the service was terrible.

We have tried sushi Iwa in Apex but this is our first time trying this Morrisville location and it is equally fantastic. The staff is super nice and welcoming, the food was delicious, and came super fast, and my little one loved her kid's chicken lomain

Bottom line: I enjoyed the sushi at Sushi Iwa with the "My Love" specialty roll definitely being my favorite of them. They do have BOGO sushi here. The broccoli with beef was adequate but not extraordinary, wishing the sauce packed more flavor. The starters of steamed gyoza and veggie spring rolls were both good. Service both visits was great and positive. The Deets: Seeing Sushi Iwa opening up in the Grace Park neighborhood of Morrisville, I've made a couple of visits here. It's located on the roundabout near Starbucks and Woody's in Grace Park. Going in, it appears to have the same layout and footprint that the previous occupants had at that location. Being solo each time, I was sat down at the booth next to the main doors/entrance upon each visit. There is a sushi bar in the back corner, regular bar on the other side and plenty of seating with booths and tables. With my visits, I had a good variety of menu selections. My first visit started with steamed pork gyoza and it was a good appetizer choice. For lunch, I went with the Chef's Selection of the broccoli dish with beef added for my protein choice. This entree was adequate, but not extraordinary, pretty much how you'd expect from any beef/broccoli dish dining out. I actually wished the brown sauce had more flavor to it. The house salad with ginger dressing was good, nice portion for a side salad. I wanted to see how the sushi was though, and even though they are known for their BOGO deal even with specialty rolls, I went with one roll of the "My Love" specialty roll with spicy tuna, salmon, cream cheese, spicy mayo, and topped with red roe (one roll is 8 pieces). I found this roll delicious! It had a lot more cream cheese than expected (not complaining) and I enjoyed all the flavors coming together in this roll. I made one more visit, this time to enjoy the BOGO deal they are known for, but first ordered a couple of vegetable spring rolls for starters. I had to use a fork as they were extremely hot just out of the fryer as well as still a bit oily, but they were not bland flavor-wise and I liked them. For my BOGO sushi, I ordered the "White River" specialty roll (yellowtail, avocado, tempura flakes, topped with white tuna, orange caviar, and spicy mayo) and the "Cherish U" specialty roll (spicy tuna, avocado, topped with salmon). I enjoyed both of these sushi rolls, as I went back and forth over which one I liked the most...finally the flavors within the "Cherish U" roll won out but again, both were good to me. Throughout both visits, my server Victor delivered great service with a smile and made sure I had everything I needed throughout the meals. I think I like Sushi Iwa for their sushi and appetizer selections, glad to see them in the neighborhood.

Sashimi Lunch

We have been to this particular location under many names, but we have really enjoyed Sushi Iwa! The bogo rolls are great but we often come here for lunch! The prices are reasonable and the proportions are sizable! I got the Sashimi Lunch special- what you don't see in the photo is the small mountain of seaweed salad under all that fish, YUM! My partner gets the green curry lunch, pleasantly spicy and is a total steal deal for like 14$. He often has a hard time finishing all that food! The staff here are super nice, there's typically K-pop playing in the background, and we generally can't complain! Solid restaurant!

Sushi

Was visiting for a wedding and decided to try this place. The food was very good and the service excellent. My husband and got the Julianne's moon, Loren's, special salmon and sweet dreams.

This week my teen reminded me that a new Ramen place has opened in the same facility so I decided to give it a try. The ambience is cozy, though I found that tables are very close to each other, so it is very hard to keep a conversation going without you either disturbing the other table or worrying about having someone else listen to your conversation menu is fine. I did not care for sushi because I was there for Ramen. Besides, they have a vegetarian Ramen is what I was looking for, my daughter ordered a teriyaki Ramen. My vegetarian Ramen had a lot of tempura in it, which defeated the purpose a little bit for me because it was a little oily. The taste was more or less like a red curry and there was very less vegetables mostly it was sweet corn and one or two bok choy on the other hand my teen, who is very hard to please loved the teriyaki Raman and is already planning to go back this weekend to try the other ones , all in all I gave this place a four star because the umami of the Ramen was very comforting, even though I did not like the taste much

So spirits were high right from the start. For the record, I've been here a handful of times before, usually for lunch, but this was my first dinner visit. Parking was easy and plentiful, and even though the restaurant was fairly busy, we were seated right away. Always a nice win. We kicked things off with a bowl of edamame that was perfectly salted. The boys went with miso soup, which was flavorful but came out lava hot. Like, ice-cube-required hot. Tasty, but proceed with caution if you have kids. For sushi, we kept it simple and solid with a mix of one classic and two specialty rolls: Spicy Tuna, Phoenix, and the Crunchy Roll. All were fresh, well-made, and hit the spot. Food came out quickly, service was friendly and attentive, and the overall value felt right. Since we live nearby, this will definitely stay in our regular rotation. A great, easy dinner spot for sushi with family.

My view on sushi as a whole has completely changed...in an absolutely amazing way…read more Omakase Style: basically translates over as "I leave it up to you." The chef curates a multi course and highly personalized tasting menu. My wife and I had the pleasure to partake in this unbelievable experience for our 21st anniversary, and it was hands down one of the best meals we've ever had. Not this month, not just sushi, not just in NC...but one of the top meals of all time anywhere. We had the Grand Omakase, which came out to 10 courses in total. I won't go into detail on each and every course, but let's just say that each and every course was of the highest quality fish, sushi or meat we've had anywhere. From the sushi flown out straight from Japan, to the beluga caviar and A5 Wagyu, and everything in between. We've had sushi across the nation and overseas, 100s of times. This has taken the top #1 spot out of all of them, especially with what we were served in the Grand Omakase package. Impeccable service, 8 sushi chefs all working efficiently at once in an open style sushi kitchen, all within a classy (but not pretentious by any means) establishment. The Grand Omakase package here is one of those bucket list items for anyone who loves sushi, top shelf meats and fish, and enjoys a high level foodie experience.

Hailing from Florida, I'm used to high quality raw fish and M Sushi does not deliver this. Claiming they source their fish from Japan may be true, but I question how they store and prepare the fish, as it did not taste fresh. I tried the chirashi bowl, which was not what I was expecting: served on vinegar rice and shaved tomago, the fish was cut into chunks, not the thin slices well trained sushi chefs deliver. The fish tasted bad. Their sushi rolls can make up for the fish flavor by adding over powering ingredients, but their mismatched flavors, like spicy tuna and some kind of fruit sauce, didn't work. The only good thing I had was the truffle white fish dumplings, they were spectacular. Which makes me think I might still enjoy the other M restaurants. Sorry guys, this place just isn't it. My server was excellent, very attentive and knowledgeable.

They all said it was the best sushi they've ever had. I was super impressed by the expansive drink menu. I ordered a nice red blend and plan to order a Sake flight next time. I loved the atmosphere and didn't realize it was so big inside. Our server was super nice and helpful when ordering. I ordered the teriyaki chicken without onions and our server was so awesome that she let me know that the ginger dressing on my salad contained onions. She wanted to make sure I didn't have an allergy. How amazing?! The chicken teriyaki and the veggies it was served with were absolutely AMAZING! Seriously, IDK what they did to those veggies but this may have been the best meal I've ever had! They gave my husband a scoop of mango icecream with a candle in it for his birthday. Love that! We are looking forward to our next visit to Waraji.
