Sauce has real flavor, meat is higher quality, and veggies are better like broccoli.

Let me start with this: I am absolutely biased because Aladdin's is my favorite restaurant ever!…read moreAnd I'm not ashamed to admit it. I've practically followed this place across states and cities. I discovered Aladdin's years ago when I lived in Northern Virginia. After that first visit, I was hooked and started going several times a year. When the Shirlington location closed, they reopened in Burke, and that became my new go‑to spot every time I visited the area. And then, heartbreak , they closed that location too. One day I randomly searched to see if they had opened anywhere else, and you won't believe it... they popped up right here in North Carolina, the same state I now live in! And while it's not in Charlotte, my brother lives in Raleigh, which means every trip to see him doubles as an excuse to visit Aladdin's. My usual order is the shawarma rolled, and trust me when I say it's the best! The savory, flavorful meat paired with those pickled veggies, plus all the heavenly spices and sauces, well t's just perfect! I've had shawarma at countless places over the years, and nothing even comes close to theirs. I typically grab an appetizer as well, dolmas or falafel. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Every dish I've tried has been spectacular. Introduced my brother and wife to this place, and they've already been back! To give you an idea of how deep my love for this place goes, the last time I visited I ordered 4 extra shawarma rolls to go, froze them, and rationed them out at home. They don't hold up perfectly after being frozen but I did still enjoy every single one. Aladdin's will always be one of those rare restaurants that I go out of my way to visit and I'll continue to stop by as often as I possibly can. If you love Mediterranean flavors (Lebanese) this spot is a must!!!

Despite it being less than a week from Christmas and the shopping center it is in is quite hectic due to the holidays, I was able to find a spot by scavenging. I appreciate that the lot is very large, and people are always coming and going, so if you wait just a tad or if you park by Walgreens, you'll get a spot sooner, than later. I ordered the: - Taza Chicken Salad - 10/10 - delicious, flavorful and so much variety - Flavor Savor Special - 8/10 - the beef and the falafel was a bit dry that I couldn't finish (and I usually always finish my food) but the chicken thigh and everything else was licked up clean - Mango Smoothie - 10/10 - so refreshing, and you can tell, its super fresh Our server Leena was absolutely wonderful, she was so sweet, polite, helpful - just so gracious. I'd come again to try out different dishes, since they offer soooo many different things, but I'd probably avoid the beef and likely the falafel next time.

We tried 8 different ones, and all were excellent! The pesto and salami one was my favorite. The inside of the restaurant is pretty dimly lit, but we didn't mind and it helped create a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor patio looked nice and could be a good option for daytime. Our waitress was very attentive and let us know about the seasonal specials. They have a board and wine deal on weekday nights that we're looking to try next. Would definitely recommend for a fun night out in the Village District with friends or a date!

I have been to Postino many times before, but this was my first time at the Raleigh location. While it's been 4 years since I've had Postino and the menu has changed a little, the bruschetta board is still a permanent fixture. We ordered a bruschetta board for an appetizer and I ordered the half panini & half salad for my entree. The bruschetta board is a must order because you can get 4 different kinds. The top tier choice is the salami pesto one. It's my absolute favorite. For my panini, I got the caprese one on ciabatta bread and the half of the mixed greens salad. The salad was delicious. This was a ton of food and felt very satisfying. I always love the vibe of Postino's, but this location was way too dark with only a small candle at the table. Service started off good and we were able to order our food without a problem. However, our server was done with his shift right after we ordered so we got a new server. Our new server had no idea we already ordered and was a little behind coming to our table for water refills. Despite that, we were in and out of the restaurant within 45 minutes. Postino is surrounded by other shops and restaurants, so they had a ton of parking available outside the restaurant. Highly recommend this place if you want good food!

I always get a grains and bowl and ir doesn't disappoint.... except that I was charged $2.35 for 2 tiny lamb meatballs. I'm sure that wasn't a portion size. But there were 2 big problems with this location. The young woman who works here has a bad attitude. She is not friendly, has a bad disposition and definitely should not be helping customers. And she did not change her gloves by the 3rd person she helped, even after touching door handles and changing items out. She was not concerned with proper sanitation, but it was just her because I watched the other male employee change his gloves after helping someone. And speaking of nasty, the other problem was that this place was not clean. The countertop and most of the tables had leftover food debris on them. I wanted to dine-in but could not find a clean table to sit at. Then went outside because they have outdoor dining, and the same deal with every table being dirty. Disgusting. It wasn't busy and it doesn't take long to wipe tables down and sweep up. I only got food from this location to satisfy my craving, but I wouldn't go back since cleanliness and sanitation doesn't seem to be a priority... at least not on the day I went

The location is easy to find with public parking. The restaurant is beautiful and with a great layout. The food is where the disappointment lies. The dumplings came out good - hot and flavorful! But that's where it stopped. I asked for my burger to be medium - it came out well done. The mayo wasn't on the side, it was on someone's plate at the table. The fries were cold. Like COLD, COLD. I had to add my own toppings to the fries that should have been hot as well - from what I gathered from the menu. My friend had to ask them a few times to make them over - with watching her - I just decided it wasn't worth the hassle and just wouldn't return. It's a shame - the concept is good overall - but the delivery isn't all there. To charge extra for air fryer fries is wild when they don't come out cooked well and hot for the customer.

I went for a half chicken with the rice, beans, and a side of corn. This also comes with your choice of flour or corn tortillas. I also got 3 tacos- chicken, steak, and shrimp. I had everything with flour tortillas. The total for all- which could've fed 2-3 people, was around $45. The quality of the food was AMAZING. The steak and chicken tacos were sooo juicy and good that I've been wanting to go back just to get it again. If you try any taco, get the steak. There is also a salsa bar, and the first greenish/white sauce (cilantro crema?) was so good on everything so don't forget to grab a cup or 2. I later had the chicken with rice, beans, and corn and was extremely satisfied. I probably won't eat at another chicken spot other than this now. In addition to great food and good service- the restaurant is so pretty and modern inside. It was surprisingly empty and had so much seating inside and outside.

I also order myself carnitas (delicious) and one chicken quesadilla for my Mom. My mom is such a picky eater but she really enjoyed the quesadilla and was talking about how meaty it was for days. I'm happy with my purchase and I look forward to returning. I do recommend dining at Little Rey if you're in the area.
