1 STAR COMPANY, DO NOT USE! Umm I was told by Ken that he was a "5 star company" and that 'he would take good care of us.' Literally this is what he said multiple times, in response to my call to him the day prior that we needed our carpets cleaned. But that couldn't have been further from the truth. KB Cleaners is a ONE STAR Company. And I almost wonder if the other 5 star reviews below are written by paid reviewers or even Ken himself, because my experience with KB Carpet Cleaners was so DIFFERENT from what I see being reported here. Our experience with Ken and his company was so AWFUL --one of the most unpleasant unprofessional 'service' experiences in my 45-year life and hands down the WORST carpet cleaners I have ever hired. When KEN showed up he proceeded to case the 'unit' and tell me how terrible the carpet was and that it needed to be ripped out. I said, 'ah no...we need it cleaned and that's what we were calling his 'services' for. ' I.e that's why we called CLEANERS to CLEAN the carpet. If the carpet was clean we wouldn't need his services right???? He keep saying in a very hostile--nearly abusive - tone that there was too much staining and 'did I expect him to get on his hands and knees and dig out the gum or candy stains''???? (Yes he actually said this. I mean he wondered if I expected him to do his job and you know... clean for the money we would be paying him. ) It's like a maid showing up to your house and telling you it was 'too dirty to clean' or saying she wouldn't clean the bathroom because to her it was 'disgusting' or beyond his/her job description??? I responded very politely that, 'no we didn't expect him to get on his hands and knees but wondered if it could it be pretreated and if.. he could work on the stains we were more than willing to 'pay extra' or whatever for the service.' Again we simply needed a vey dirty carpet cleaned which is why we hired professionals to do it. (We were concerned that if we tried to remove these stains ourselves we might damage the carpet worse. ) Again we were not trying to 'degrade' Ken (or heaven forbid.. put him out), we simply had hoped we had hired a PROFESSIONAL to get out tough stains. I'm running out of character length allowed, so long story short Ken literally walked out on us. He refused to clean our carpets. Yes, he booked the 'sale' made us move the furniture and clean the unit to prepare for him, only to leave us hanging without a carpet cleaner the day we needed it done. I was so stunned by the lack of professionalism that my jaw hit the floor...and then I got on the phone and hired a REAL 5 STAR competitor of his. They responded to the emergency KB had just left us in, came in and cleaned our 'dirty beyond repair' carpets like PROS. Carpet looks amazing, and like new. I have NEVER in my entire life seen a business treat anyone like this let alone a customer. Even if he believed the carpet was not salvageable, or he didn't WANT to do the job he could have at least said, 'this is worse than I realized, we may not have time to do the job right today lets reschedule for a longer appointment' or he could have given us a referral to a PROFESSIONAL carpet cleaner that would do the job?? ANYTHING. NO. He simply walked out and didn't come back. Do not hire this company. And truly don't hire them if you actually have a dirty carpet. read more

I read the Yelp reviews for KB Carpet Cleaners before hiring them and all the reviews were great. Well, add another one to the list. Ken just left and my carpet looks beautiful. It was dirty and quite old and now it looks new again. He was prompt, (actually early), worked quickly and dilligently and I am very pleased with his work. Plus he is a delightful and pleasant man. Most important, the fee was very reasonable! I will use this company again and I would recommend them to anyone. Fantastic service! Let me set the scene... I'm really, REALLY pregnant (due next week), and experiencing that nesting urge pretty badly... I need my carpets cleaned NOW. Unfortunately, thanksgiving is next week, so everyone else wants their carpets cleaned too... I call these guys this morning,and they tell me that they may have time next Tuesday ( I'm thinking "no! I could be in labor by then!!!"), but that they could squeeze me in today if I liked. Liked? I loved that idea! They gave me a great quote, and I was ready. They arrived early (bonus), and did a stellar job in less than an hour. I have CATS people... and a dog... AND a toddler. These carpets had not been cleaned in over three years, and Ken and Nathan made them look like there had never been a juice/puke/animal accident at any time... nice guys too. Fantastic work! Ken and Nathan came out today and cleaned my carpets and got all the stains out! My carpets look like new. These carpets are top of the line nylon and almost four years old. Another carpet cleaner company had cleaned the same carpets in March and came back in April to do some spot work since I wasn't satisfied The carpets weren't that dirty, just had several soiled spots. However, the stains by the kitchen door and two spots in the living room were still present. I wore white mitts from the janitorial store over my shoes after the first company had cleaned the carpets, I did this both times, to keep from damaging the wet carpets. The mitts were muddy looking as soon as I walked over the carpets; even after the second cleaning, so I knew my carpets were not clean. I wore more white mitts again after KB had cleaned my carpets in May, and the bottom of the mitts stayed a pristine white! No more spots or dirty areas in my carpet, either. I can't say enough about this company! My carpets were in horrible shape at the condo I was renting. I've had them cleaned many times over the years but they never looked that great after. But after KB got done with them my gf and I were in shock! They were so clean and completely revitalized the carpets. They got stains out other companies left behind. Just finished my second time using KB cleaners service. The thought came to me when I got an email about a groupon for carpet cleaning and thought it's about time to get it done. I was about buy that thing when I thought about the monster machine KB brought the first time I called them. Chances are this groupon place was gonna bring some steam wand and some upselling tactics, not the beast of a machine Ken brings with him. I trust that beast of a machine far more than any steam wand. My carpets look great at a fair price, and on top of that Ken is just a cool dude, and it's always a plus when you bring a stranger into your home and that stranger has a good attitude. I have used KB carpets in the past. I had a very bad incident with one of my rentals where they let their animals urinate on the carpet.The renters had hired another company to come and clean, but the smell was still there. I called KB Carpet. KB came right away and cleaned the carpets in the most thourough manner. Even the renter was impressed. We called Ken in a panic when ChemDry couldn't clean our carpets as a dinner party approached. Ken not only moved his entire schedule around to accommodate us, but we were astonished at how clean our carpets were when he finished. Ken and his long-term staff clean carpets the way they were designed to be cleaned...the old-fashioned way, shampooing to remove deep down dirt that ChemDry hadn't gotten out of our carpets in 10 years! My wife was beyond thrilled, and our "accidental" find of KB has turned us into repeat customers...we are having them back this week to do some bedrooms (we now see all the dirt we've been living with and want KB to remove it!). Be prepared to give a few extra hours for your carpets to dry (these aren't chemicals that evaporate), but it is SO worth it. Called KB yesterday to do a last minute, basket case carpet cleaning for a rental unit. They were shorthanded and STILL came out before they said they would, were in and out in less than an hour and got the carpet and tile floor looking as good as it's ever looked for about what I'd spend if I tried to clean it myself with a Rug Doctor, if you add up the time spent shlepping the machine from the grocery store and buying the cleaning fluid.
