Rating: 4.5 Came to visit for breakfast. It's a local historic bagel shop in waterbury VT. They specialize in bagels and cream cheese. They also offer some breakfast sandwich and custom sandwich as well. It's located on downtown waterbury along the stowe street. We parked on side of street and walked over. Inside is small cozy room with some chairs and tables with counter where you order. They have great selections of NY style bagels and cream cheese. I ended up getting a garlic bagel with maple bacon cream cheese and a buff's kickin burrito which comes with jalapeño cheddar wrap, egg, spinach, bacon, red pepper, cabot pepper jack, and home made hot sauce. The bagel was fresh, nice and chewy. Maple bacon cream cheese was creamy and sweet with subtle maple flavor. The wrap was fresh, savory and had a hint of sweetness, acidity and a kick from the home made hot sauce which was really good. Service was nice and quick. Staff seemed to be used to busy times so everyone was very quick but still attentive and nice. Price is reasonable as well the portion of the bagel, cream cheese and sandwich is good. Overall it's a great spot to enjoy tasty bagels, cream cheese and/or your own custom bagel sandwich with your own choosing. I like the customization they offer here and quality of bagel and cream cheese was good. They also sell their cream cheese as well separately and offer older bagel for free at the basket in front of the entrance for those that are in need. Really great bagels. Not too massive, which I have a pet peeve about. We were visiting from out of town and stopped in here a few times. Pretty good coffee considering it's a grab and go situation. My boyfriend and I heard good things about KC's bagels, so we decided to check it out. We were not disappointed. I got the cheddar dill bagel with veggie cream cheese and he got a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. The cheddar dill bagel had a super unique flavor that I've never experienced before. The veggie cream cheese was probably the best I've ever had at a bagel place. My boyfriend said that this was the best breakfast sandwich he has ever had. Great place. I got an everything bagel with Mexican cream cheese and it was one of the best cream cheeses I have ever had. The bagel was great as well with a perfect toast. Crunchy outside with a super soft inside. My sister's pesto bagel with scallion cream cheese was very good too. Same with my dads honey wheat bagel with maple bacon cream cheese and my Uncles plain bagel with horseradish bacon cream cheese (another one of my favorite cream cheeses). In my not-so-humble opinion, this is the best bagel bakery on the planet. I've been coming here ever since I was a little kid, and they've only gotten better. The bagels are all freshly made, soft, chewy, and really big. They're extrememly generous with the cream cheese, and they have some rather unique bagel and cream cheese flavors too. The breakfast sandwichs are also damn good for egg and meat that's microwaved. Also, they serve several micro-sodas I've never seen anywhere else and of course GMCR coffee. (Given that you can smell the factory from outside, I'd expect this.) Most of the staff I know personally, and the girls behind the counter (never seen a guy back there) are always really friendly and upbeat. There's a nice small seating area, and the radio is always on either Star 92.9 or Point 104.7. All in all, I promise you, this will be the best bagel you've ever had. I swear. PS: Bring cash, they don't do credit cards, and I think they're iffy on checks. read more
