KD electric was a contractor assigned from American Home Shield so I had no choice but to use them when our circuit blew on our air conditioning unit. It took a week to get them out, they were here for 10 min, said they needed more than an hour to fix anything and needed to submit a request to AHS for the work. 2 weeks goes by and nothing. No calls no appointment. They lied and said they submitted paperwork when they didn't. When AHS called them asking for documentation, their secretary Gloria had to call me, the homeowner, to ask what the electricians said to me because they had not documented anything. 3 weeks goes by and finally they submit such unclear paperwork to AHS that AHS paid for a second opinion. Now I get to wait another week for another electrician to do what KD electric should have done in the first place. KD electric is unorganized, mismanaged, lacks complete urgency and just gives no f's. Buyer beware. read more

The team of guys did a good job mounting my tv and they ensured the tv was level and positioned the way I requested. However, it should not take three guys to do this install. Also, the price for the installation was too high especially considering they did not offer any options for concealing the cables. I hired another guy to mount my second tv and he did it for half the price and concealed the wires. read more

I am first time home buyer who wanted an older charmed home. I definitely got what I asked for and love my new-to-me house. However, my newly purchased home needed a complete re-wire done throughout (all new outlets, wiring, light switches, breaker panels, additional added outdoor lighting etc.). Damon and his crew were on top of their game. Damon was always available to answer my questions and talk me through options and pricing of the various extended jobs that we came across. For example, the simple and inexpensive suggestion of the sensor light in my basement laundry room has been a life-saver when walking in with my hands full. I will not sugar coat the fact that this was an expensive process, especially with the additional outdoor outlets and lighting I requested. But, in my opinion low cost/low grade electrical work is not something to take gamble on. You get what you pay for in the quality and professionalism from KD electric. These guys are quick! I am used to scheduling workers weeks in advance, especially with all the building going on in the area, but once I agreed to the estimate, the guys were out the same day; outstanding! The work was done as best as possible (there were difficulties to overcome, not KD's fault) in a short amount of time. I must say they aren't the cheapest around - another electrician quoted me a lower figure, but he never showed up. What good is a low ball quote if the guy is a ghost? We hired Damon, actually based on reviews, if memory serves, last year around this time. I knew we wanted to have some electrical work done as part of a big kitchen remodel. Damon and his awesome crew ended up knocking out walls, rewiring stuff, reinforcing a big bar and basically doing whatever we asked him to do, as he is a contractor extraordinaire in addition to being an electrician.
