KD market has a great assortment of pierogies, hot and coldnpolish favorites and extremely helpful and friendly staff. The store has a variety of polish snacks, ingredients and bakery items. We were craving polish food and KD market did not disappoint. Their cabbage rolls are delicious and flavorful, their polish sausage plate and their fresh bread were also delicious. But my overall favorite would have to be their hungarian goulash! If you enjoy authentic polish food, definitely give them a try. read more

I've just started shopping at the Mt. Prospect store 6 months ago. I'm very glad I found this place. Food prep and quality are first rate, and reminds me of home cooking growing up. I've not had one questionable food item, ever ! As far as the service goes, I could not be happier with the few staff members I've met. They are all equally friendly, knowledgeable, and very willing to help a Polish-language challenged customer ( ie. me ). In the deli, manager Monika and her crew, Wanda and Bogusia, and Ivanka, at the hot food counter, have all generously and willingly exposed me to many different items I've never had. Now, several are staples in my kitchen. Again, couldn't be happier. The ambiance of the store, the cleanliness, the organization, and the overall attitude of the rest of the entire staff make this store my go-to shopping choice. After some scrutiny, they admitted their mistake and will not be able to fulfill the right order until a later date, so I decided to cancel the order. Been in the neighborhood for the last while, but never popped in until the wife was hankering for some Diet Dr. Pepper. Store was clean and seemed super nice, smelled exactly like my Busia's pantry. But sadly the memories couldn't salvage this unfortunate first time experience... Turned out all the Dr Pepper they had was expired - some by over 3 years. Now it's not lost on me that the deli here is probably fabulous and most folks craving old world Polish cuisine and not reaching for a Diet Dr P- but when I went back to return- they questioned me about why "half the bottle was gone" - as though I wanted to scam them. When I pointed out the 2019 copy right- they were happy to replace with a 2021- which still tasted bad. I'd avoid unless you are looking for some kielbasa. read more

We ordered catering from KD Market for a retirement party at work. The gentleman who was retiring is Polish, so we though it would be a fun send-off. We ordered a variety of pierogies, stuffed cabbages, white potatoes, and chicken cutlets. I can't personally vouch for the chicken cutlets, but everything else was DELICIOUS! Omg, I am drooling just thinking about the stuffed cabbages. I have been to other Polish restaurants hoping to find someone who can make them as good as my mom, and until now, I have been disappointed. These are BETTER than my mom's! We have a very high Hispanic population in our factory, and they don't generally like to step too far outside their traditional comfort food, but everyone loved the food. When I came to the cashier and told her about this issue, she made me a face and said " it's not my business, go to complain to customer service ". First trip to this new store. The ambiance and cleanliness are top notch. At 9:30 am we had a to-go hot breakfast and a hot off the deli cabbage soup. The cabbage soup was fantastic. We looked around at all the offerings. Prices seem reasonable and selection good. I'm very dissatisfied with the lady at the customer service desk. She is blonde, skinny and average height. She speaks poor English to begin with, and just answers with so much attitude. I have never dealt with anyone in that store as rude as her. TERRIBLE customer service i have ever experienced in my life. You always have to check if things are expired or not. I only shop here when I quickly need to grab something. It's kind of pricey and most of their products are foreign. They do have fresh bread which is great and some other fresh items I do get for everything else I go elsewhere. read more

The store is nice the prices are very high we when this past Saturday and we find out if you are not polish don't go there i know they want to appeal to all people but the only people that works there is polish very few non polish people. If you are not polish stay away they are very rude they know you don't speak polish and that's all they speak in front of you even tho they can speak the English language. So if you want to visit Poland you can save some money just go to the store just don't buy anything. A while back I came in for soup and they were out of crackers. The chef Frank was so nice and said he was sorry and said that the next time I came in he would buy my soup. Apparently he no longer works there and the new manager is a huge jerk! Basically he said that he didn't trust me that I was promised a free soup (it's a cup of soup for goodness sakes), and said I was out of luck for what I was promised before. He also badmouthed the prior chef and said he was fired for discrimination. Like I need to know that. Terrible customer experience. The food is not great anyway so I will not be back. I come here almost everyday, even though the prices are high for the quality of product you receive, the hot foods section is my go too. When I walked in today, I didn't see one friendly face at the hot foods counter. 2 employees were talking and laughing away about their employees or customers, not sure. But they were also texting away. I have never felt this unwelcome before. Very unprofessional. I will now be visiting the Schaumburg store. read more

I was excited to finally get a chance to try this store today. Beautiful store and I was very pleased walking through the isles and taking a trip to the deli where they had a sample of veal sausage which tasted great; I grabbed a pound and the deli clerk was very prompt and nice. I didn't have as great of an experience at the hot food section but I'll chalk that up to growing pains. Overall though, food selection is quite good with many new ethnic foods to try. Prices are also decent and customer service in the end was very good. Glad to have this store in the neighborhood! read more
