I ordered the Rokka Pollo and it was VERY tasty, The garlic, olive oil, and rosemary combo was great. The chicken was also tasty and juicy, but somewhat of a rubbery/chewy texture unfortunately. It was moist and near perfection IMO. BA's offers their sandwiches in two sizes: BIGS & SMALLS. The large one is truly HUGE and packed with a lot of meat. The grilled bun was like a fluffy pillow. I had SUCH a positive first experience at Big Ange's Eatery and already can't wait to go back! I was greeted upon arrival by literally all staff members. Everyone was so cheery! Bobby and Rocco engaged in conversation with me right away and, after learning that it was my first time there, started by introducing me to the menu and telling me that I was welcome to try any of the meats! I had never tried the tri tips before and my friends were all raving about it, so Rocco so kindly brought me a sample of tri tips as well as brisket so I could compare the two. Knowing this place would be busy on Father's Day, we decided to place a takeout order for later in the afternoon shortly after they opened at noon. We arrived around 2:15 pm, about 15 minutes before our pickup time, and the restaurant was still packed. The pickup process was a bit chaotic--the older woman helping customers initially told us that our order was completely sold out and asked us to wait off to the side. About 10 minutes later, a younger staff member checked our order again and let us know it would be ready shortly. Overall, the pickup experience was far from smooth, but the food made up for it. The prime brisket was easily one of the best I've had--tender, flavorful, and worth the hype. The sausage was equally impressive, incredibly juicy and probably the best sausage I've had at a barbecue spot. The ribs were tender as well, though the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. I had a friend come into town 2 weeks ago and we ALWAYS go to Smoque BBQ in the city. We went, we ate and all was good. We were throwing out some ideas for lunch on Friday and landed on Big Ange's Eatery and WOW! We were greeted with a sample of the smoked brisket and we all looked at each other and said this is better than Smoque!!! The smokey-ness, the melt in your mouth, the flavor was OUTSTANDING. The flavor profile of everything we ordered was spot on. The guys were friendly and checked on us. Perfection. The next day, Saturday, I brought in 12 colleagues for dinner and every RAVED about how delish everything was. They were also greeted with the samples, the service and friendly faces. On Saturday we ordered the Nutella banana white chip ice cream and listen here, I don't even like Nutella! Hit after hit. Don't sleep on this, you have to go.
