Went to pick up food on the way home from a race. It was busy, so had to park across the street. The ordering was fairly quick, but took quite a while to get the food - but they were busy. I ordered the Rokka Pollo and it was VERY tasty, The garlic, olive oil, and rosemary combo was great. The chicken was also tasty and juicy, but somewhat of a rubbery/chewy texture unfortunately. The fries, as always, were also tasty and well seasoned. However, I do like my fries crispy - and these are on the soggier end. (I usually throw them in the oven for like 5-10 minutes to get them crispy.

The food is good and fresh... I got a salad and a taste of delicious It's a Walkup counter where you order and pick up your food right down the counter. It was quick service. The place has a music theme. It's clean and presentable.

Knowing this place would be busy on Father's Day, we decided to place a takeout order for later in the afternoon shortly after they opened at noon. We arrived around 2:15 pm, about 15 minutes before our pickup time, and the restaurant was still packed. The pickup process was a bit chaotic--the older woman helping customers initially told us that our order was completely sold out and asked us to wait off to the side. About 10 minutes later, a younger staff member checked our order again and let us know it would be ready shortly. Overall, the pickup experience was far from smooth, but the food made up for it. The prime brisket was easily one of the best I've had--tender, flavorful, and worth the hype. The sausage was equally impressive, incredibly juicy and probably the best sausage I've had at a barbecue spot. The ribs were tender as well, though the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. Despite the holiday chaos, the quality of the food was outstanding. We'll definitely be back to try the sandwiches, though we'll probably avoid visiting on major holidays next time.

You order at the counter and then wait for your name to be called. I ordered the ribs and coleslaw. I added the blackberry habanero hot sauce and it made the ribs even better. I regret not buying some of their hot sauce to go. Despite not having table service, the employees walked around the dining room and checked on everyone. After seeing what other diners ordered I definitely want to go back and try more. I didn't love the coleslaw but overall Ange's is still 5 stars.

What a rip off! Ordered small beef, dipped hot, cheese fries and drink $24? If I would have ordered it through DoorDash I would have gotten the large beef for the same amount. Can't believe I got suckered to driving an hour for a sandwich that was gone in eight bites. When I brought it to the cashier's attention he said "that's what it is and why did I bring up DoorDash?" Won't bother with a return visit. Beef was decent but no heat and very little peppers for the extra buck. Fries were very soggy.

I tried a restaurant near my house that serves a popular chicken sandwich called Rokko Pollo. I ordered two sandwiches for $41.05, which didn't include fries. The cashier accidentally gave me a bigger sandwich and charged me for it. When I asked them to cut the sandwich in half, the juices spilled and the sandwich fell out of my bag when I got home. Probably won't stop at this place again. No greeting or nothing. I really had high hopes for this place.

The catering came on time as expected, and the food was wrapped up tight and neat. We got to try both the sweet and spicy sauce, but I only got the sweet. It was perfectly sweet with a depth of spice that went well with all the meats. The meats we got to enjoy were the smoked slice brisket, smoked ribs, and smoked chicken drumsticks. While the smokiness wasn't Texas level, the brisket was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth. The ribs were fine, nothing to complain about. Sadly, I didn't really like the chicken, and even though it was dark meat, it was dry. There were also plenty of sides, salad, and veggies. The sweet potatoes were pretty soggy by the time we enjoyed them, unfortunately. However, the mashed potatoes were crazy buttery which meant it was crazy good. I kept going back for seconds and thirds, eating to my heart's content. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of BBQ at Porky's. Some things were just alright, but I'd definitely recommend the smoked beef brisket and mashed potatoes.

Having lived in the Chicago area for many years, I've visited just about every restaurant that has opened over the years. I've also been to KBBQ several times for dinner and even left a review when they first re-opened. However, today was my first time trying their lunch menu, and I was genuinely impressed. Unlike dinner time, the bright daylight streaming through the windows illuminated every corner of the restaurant, making it easy to notice how clean and well-maintained the space is. Honestly, if there had been any signs of poor hygiene that I might have missed during dinner visits, I would have noticed them right away. But there was absolutely nothing to find! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us so warmly that we almost felt like we were being welcomed by old friends. They even looked around to find us a more comfortable seat and ended up giving us a great spot. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and happy to explain the menu in detail. Today we ordered spicy cod fish stew, grilled mackerel and a spicy squid stone pot bibimbap... I wasn't particularly hungry :) since I had eaten breakfast not too long before, but as someone who believes in never skipping a meal, I picked up my spoon and chopsticks anyway. Well... my chopsticks got lost along the way. The six side dishes (banchan) completely stole my attention. Every single one tasted like something my grandmother would have lovingly prepared years ago. They were comforting, authentic, and absolutely delicious. The spicy cod stew, grilled mackerel and a spicy squid stone pot bibimbap were outstanding. Especially the cod was so fresh and thick that I found myself wondering, "Is this really cod?" The flaky white fish was incredibly tender, the shrimp, and other ingredients just as fresh. The spicy squid pot bibimbap was perhaps the best of all! I jokingly asked if they had a reservoir hidden behind the restaurant because everything tasted like it had just been caught that morning! Of course, great food is the most important thing, but I truly believe the warm smiles from the staff and the spotless dining environment made the meal even more enjoyable. KBBQ is one of those rare places where excellent food and genuine hospitality come together. It feels less like a restaurant and more like visiting your grandmother's house for a wonderful home-cooked meal. I'll definitely be coming back more often in the future. Highly recommended!

Seriously! So, imagine my surprise when I found out they had a restaurant on Irving Park Road in Wooddale - and I would occasionally pass it going to and from work! I quickly ordered the two meat combo with chopped brisket and pulled pork. I got the green chili, Mac and cheese as a side, as well as the classic coleslaw. All right - the ambience was just perfect for a small barbecue place. The food came quickly, but I noted it wasn't quite right. I had asked for chopped brisket not sliced brisket. Not a crime against humanity, true, but still I didn't complain and I decided to go ahead and eat it anyway. So how was it? Well, I slathered on sweet rays barbecue sauce, and ate like crazy. The meat was pretty darn good! The green chili mac & cheese was delicious- can't say that the coleslaw was to my taste, but there was nothing wrong with it. The cornbread was fantastic. The only reason for the demerit? Was that I ordered chopped brisket and got sliced. Will I come here again? Yes, yes I think I shall! And I think you should try it too if you like barbecue.
