I ordered the Kansas City Chief Hot Dog, the Elote Hot Dog, and a side of Notorious RBC fries!! I added on a Turners Tea and a pack of Chocolate Crinkle cookies!! Let me just say... ILLL BE BACKKK again and again!! I got the order to go and they individually packed my ranch and my lime so that I could dress the items when I was ready to eat. The Kansas City Chief was amazing. Sauerkraut and Thousand Island bubbling out of the bun... but just that snap of the hot dog and perfect bun to hold all of the culinary chaos in. The Elote Hot Dog was just like you'd want. The lime juice popping off with the fresh sweet corn and spices!! The Notorios RBC should definitely be notorious such flavor with the ranch, bacon, chili, and cheese but the fresh French fries held up and had crisp crunch throughout. Turners Iced Tea in a carton.... That's just true yinzer code! And the cookiessss... it really was a brookie and mannnn it was decadent and moist... almost as if they baked them just that morning!! I have been to the Frankuary restaurants before, both the original downtown under the church and then the one in Lawrenceville as well, so knew what to expect. However it had been a long time since I had been, so I was excited to be trying their product again. Since this was a food truck, there's not much to say about it other than it was being worked by two employees who were churning out orders quite efficiently. For my dinner on this day I ultimately ended up choosing a locavore, New York style and then also ordered a poutine to split with my wife. The menu described the locavore as a local grass feed beef dog with the New York style as coming with sauerkraut, sweet onion sauce and brown mustard and then the poutine as hand cut fries with fresh brown gravy and cheese curds. As I mentioned before, the people working here were going through orders quite quickly and soon enough I had both of my items and headed home. Once there I started on the locavore. It was decent enough as the bun was solid and I enjoyed all of the toppings on my hot dog as well as the hot dog itself. What I couldn't get past with it though was the $7 it cost and how it would probably take 3 of them for a proper dinner for me. After I had finished with the hot dog I started in on the poutine. The fries here were quite good and the gravy added a nice flavor and wetness to the dish. It was the cheese curds which were my favorite part as I am sucker for them, and who doesn't love cheese? The bottom line for me is that I might stop by here again in the future. While all of the food that I had was solid here, I still find it difficult to sometimes pay $7 for a hot dog. The Big cheese was a little underwhelming in that the Mac and cheese was pretty standard and overcooked, there weren't many jalapeños slices, and the hot dog is just boiled and plain. The Big Tex was also just a boiled dog (no grilling here), but came with more peppers, onions, cheese and had a smoky sauce drizzled on it that was nice. The fries were thick cut and crispy and seasoned with more than just salt so those were nice too. Overall meal was about $17 before tip which isn't too bad but seems a little steep--I take comfort in knowing that it's at least for a good cause.

This food truck is more of a trailer that is towed on the back of the truck and on the day we were there they had 2 people working it. They were slammed and so there was the game of trying to keep up with orders without taking too many. Their menu says proceeds are for the light of life rescue mission which is nice. For dinner on this day I decided to order a number of items to split with my wife and so went for the big tex as well as a southern belle, fresh cut fries with cheese and a Mac and cheese with bacon. The hot dog selection was the toughest choice for me as I was between the chili chaloochi and the big tex before the amount of good sounding items on the big Tex won out. It was described as a hot dog with grilled onions, sweet peppers and jalepenos with Cajun seasoning and also topped with tomatoes, shredded cheddar and cowboy mayo and the southern belle was described as their spicy chicken selection with fried chicken strips, pickles and chipotle sauce served in their signature grilled hot dog bun. After about a 15 minute wait or so, our food was ready and I was headed home. Whenever I got home the first thing I noticed was that they had forgotten my bacon on the Mac and cheese and cheese on the fries which was disappointing since I had paid for both. At that point I was not expecting to give them anything higher than a 3 star review. In any case, I first started with the big Tex and I have to admit that I loved it! The grilled onions, sweet peppers and jalepenos all added some nice flavor to it and the deep fried hot dog was delicious. It was definitely the best hot dog I have had in a long time and I didn't feel bad spending the $7 on it. After that I tried the southern belle. It was on the same buttered bun which the hot dog was on which was tasty. The chicken itself had a nice golden color to it and tasted good enough and I enjoyed the chipotle sauce. I only wish that it had more spice for something that was called spicy. With both of my entrees complete I was able to try both of the sides. I started with the fries which you could tell were freshly cut. They were well seasoned and both my wife and I enjoyed them. Last but certainly not least was the mac and cheese which was a creamy Mac and cheese. It was a decent Mac and cheese but nothing to tell my friends about. The bottom line for me is that I would head back to the rescue dogs food truck again in the future. I really enjoyed my hot dog and would be interested in trying their signature chili chaloochi.

I tried the meat seeker corn dog, and then went back for the tradition boon seeker corn dog because it was so damn good. You can also top the corn dogs with bulgolgi for a few bucks extra. I love the amazingly sweet and savory topping that is encrusted on the breading outside. They also serve kimbap, Korean fried chicken and dumplings. The Bulgogi mandoo dumplings are also amazing. They're filled with marinated beef, carrots, garlic, cabbage, and noodles. Overall, I would totally visit the Boonseek again!
